  1. I moved away about 6 years ago. Im 30 now. Me and the GF have put plans in place to move back in 2012 (she is also from WNY). Our families are in Buffalo. We long to be with our families and friends and be in WNY. Ive lived in CT and that place is misery. Now I live in Jersey across from Philly and its not that bad. I do get paid travel back home to Buffalo every couple weekends. I just want to live there full time though. Especially when a family starts up. I have a good job now. I am saving $ for the next 3 years and the gf is going to finish her masters. Then she will find a job in WNY and I will go to UB to get a doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  2. wasnt it Marchibroda who really fine tuned the no huddle into a machine? The Bengals were the first team I remember using it, but they saw mild success. I dont think anyone has ever used it as exclusively as Buffalo did in the heyday.
  3. a lot of philly fans want McNabb gone. i think they are crazy. they get rid of mcnabb, they could be looking for a qb for 10 years. I dont think Kolb is a solid NFL starter in the future
  4. the idea of a stadium in Niagara Falls really doesnt make much sense to me. On gameday Sundays convenience isnt the biggest factor unless your talking about traffic (which would be ghastly in Niagara Falls/GI bridges). The stadium is fine where it is or it would be fine in downtown Buffalo. if your having 41 or 81 home dates a year, convenience is a huge factor. On Sundays, extra driving time isnt a deal breaker. I drive in from Philly and Monday after the game I see fans decked out in Bills stuff all the way down to Binghamton. If people want to go to the game, they will go.
  5. no shame being behind any of those 7 teams in front. However, I dont believe KC belongs. I saw a few of their home games last year where it seemed as though nobody showed up. The last Bills game last year the stadium was almost full until halftime. If you think about those teams in front of us. And also some of the fans who got ranked behind (Bears, Cowboys, Giants, Skins, Pats* etc etc...) we really got some good cred from whoever set these rankings.
  6. if this happened, St Louis would be another rumored destination for the Bills.
  7. never me. youre speaking to a 25 year + cleveland indians, sabres, and bills fan. I wont jump on with a team and pretend to be a huge fan or anything like that. I just have the freedom to root for different teams. If Oklahoma is in the top 3 or 4 and the other teams are USC and Florida who I hate, I am going to really pull for OU. Or if a team like Ball State, Boise State, or Utah is making a run, its fun to root for them. Usually when I pull for a team in a big game its the underdog anyways. And obviously I pull for UB no matter what.
  8. I really got into college football this past season, and I have to say I enjoy it much more than the NFL (other than the Bills). Gambling on it is very fun too. On a Saturday you literally can have games on from noon to 3AM if Hawaii is home. There are so many different cultures and traditions around so many programs. Its also refreshing that Im not so invested into a team like I am with the Bills, Sabres, etc. There are a number of programs I really like (Buffalo, Oklahoma, Oregon St, Boise State, Auburn), and a number I will never root for (USC, Miami, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee). It will give me the freedom too to "switch teams" and root for whoever is interesting and maybe poised to make a run. I really think that if the NCAA went to a 16 team playoff, it would end up having gargantuan interest.... like as much as some of the pro sports combined.
  9. I love any idea that involves the Bills ending up in a division with any combination of Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and/or Detroit... but those divisions are just too big.
  10. that leonard little is a scumbag. How did he even have a license the second time around, and why isnt he in jail?
  11. just because he paid his debt and spent time in jail doesnt mean we have to embrace the guy. I dont think there is anybody at TBD who likes every player in the NFL. I dont mind if the NFL gives him a shot, but I would rather see a career ending injury than Super Bowl glory.
  12. Thats what seems very interesting to me. It would be kind of creepy/cool if any of the characters unknowingly found their remains during the story.
  13. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xHl-P_arVA and the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRtd9TFfScU
  14. I really like Jeremy White and I am surprised so many people here feel that strongly about him in the negative way. I think he has a great grasp on local sports and I think he has a great sense of humor. Not to take away from Howard Simon, as I feel the same way about him. And no, Im not Jeremy White.
  15. People are oversimplifying the argument. I dont believe people are saying that dogs are as important or more important than humans. However, I believe what Vick did is horrible and evil. It is more evil than an idiot who gets caught with a bag of dope and a gun. And more evil than getting into a scuffle at a nightclub and stabbing some rapper's entourage. Although the end result is not worse, the act is more evil than having too many pops and getting into an accident. What they do to the family dogs, and the normal dogs is they knock their teeth out with a hammer, one by one so they cant bite at the pitbulls (who are going to be tortured/killed anyway) they allow to attack them. I know that dogfighting might be accepted in other parts of the world, but so is sex with a 12 year old boy prostitute, and chopping off someone's hand if they steal a candy bar. We are a developed nation and not accepting of savage behavior. I do believe the NFL should reinstate him after he has paid his dues and makes nice-nice with Goodell. I cant get past what he has done, unless he does something truly outstanding... even then I dont know. I cant root for the Bills if he is our QB. While he deserves a chance to get back in the league, I am not obligated to forget his past doings. The issue of animal cruelty is important to me. I do realize it isnt as important to others and I dont look down on people who would choose to forgive and forget this. I just dont understand why people who have similar viewpoints as me on this are getting flamed.
  16. Where did I say that dogs were = to or > than people? In fact, the point you quoted was saying that dogs are < than people.
  17. That is a cool story. It is good to see a lot of the dogs get a chance at having a decent life. However, none of the dogs who were slaughtered got a second chance. I think he should eventually get a chance in the NFL, he shouldnt get a lifetime ban. I dont wish for any MV success though, even if he played for the BB
  18. If Vick carried out what he did to dogs to humans, he would be considered Jeffrey Dahmer. a lot of these other circumstances surrounding other NFL players were terrible lapses in judgement.
  19. well I was 12 at the time and didnt have internet, and even now I dont recall who the hell he was. Looking at him now he is scum and I wouldnt be happy if he currently ended up on the Bills. Even so, this is a completely different situation than those listed. The canine cruelty issue is important to me and I will not cheer for a guy who performed evil like Vick did. I expect and wouldnt complain if the NFL reinstated him. However, I would never root for the guy, even on the Bills.
  20. I would be done with the team not because I am closed minded. It is because I despise what Vick has done and I dont want to root for the team who gives this guy a chance. I have been a fan for almost 25 years, but I couldnt root for this guy just because the uniform he wears. I am involved in some causes and have raised money for animal rights groups and it is an issue that is important to me. What these people do to torture defenseless animals who want nothing but human companionship is nothing short of psychotic behavior. I dont believe he is truly sorry either. He is sorry that he got caught. if he didnt, "Bad Newz Kennels' would still be raping and torturing dogs. I have season tickets with 10 others and we had the conversation last year and 6-7 of us would be done with the Bills. With that said, I can see the other side and understand why Bills fans would remain fans and maybe even get excited (even though Vick's skills were questionable, and likely deteriorated). I have no problem with that and Im not going to tell people how they should feel. For some people, this charge isnt that big of a deal and that is fine. For others, they can look past any off-field troubles.... I myself can look past a lot. Thinking that everyone should share your viewpoint is closed-minded in my opinion. Its also worth noting I dont believe the Bills would be interested. All the talk just seems to be individuals' speculation.
  21. there's no internal conflict with me. The Bills sign Vick even as a backup and Im done. I like TO and I liked TO even when he was with other teams.
  22. they dont win and I support them anyways. They lose a good fan and Im sure they dont want to sacrifice too many. Micheal Vick wont result in wins anyways.
  23. nope. Mark my words. If the Bills get Vick, Im done. Season tickets, viewership, TBD, all interest will be gone. Verify it how you want I have no doubt that I would drop the team like yesterday's trash.
