Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year
May Day 10 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
Big plays by multiple people. Jones was creating havoc on every single big 3rd down play. Blocked EP Butker is nearly automatic. Some good YAC plays by Kelce and Rice Mahomes did the job when the game was in the balance. Adjustments at halftime. -
Taking the ball 1st in overtime is a terrible move. They also got all joe brady near the goalline
-
Why take the ball first? My god shamahan should be run out of the league
-
What a dumb decision. Wow
-
Chiefs are so lucky. But blah blah blah mahomes
-
Mahomes looks like Tua out there
-
Wow kelce. What a great guy

Illegal forward pass ok?

Inside Jets dysfunction article in the Athletic

At that point, you need to just make the move. Basically giving your GM and coach an ultimatum just invites bad and desperate decisions that will continue to doom the franchise years after they are gone. -
I guess I will wait and see what the bundle looks like, what it offers, and what the price point will be. If it is something that gives me a few things I already pay for, and I would have to spend a marginal amount monthly, but I have access to a lot of RSNs and hassle-free sports under 1 roof, I think I will be down with this. Its possible I would turn the service off for various seasons as well depending on what is offered

My son got into lacrosse last Summer. I thought it was a nice breath of fresh air from the hyper-competitive parent-ruined travel sports. It feels very grassroots. It was easy to pick up for beginners who have any athletic ability. The referees all seemed to enforce different rules, but they would always articulate all fouls and teach the kids. Parents, overall do not know what is going on, so everyone just sits there and watches. Baseball locally is a joke. Its like the wild west and at every age group, 6 or 7 new travel teams pop up every year with some zany new name started by groups of angry parents/coaches. The season here is like 2 months, yet everyone thinks their kids are going pro. Hockey is bad too, but there is a framework of a governing body(s) and any ordinary Joe cant just go and start a team.

I agree, but I think they have this one shot at it. I'm definitely not shoveling dirt on the idea that they are going to be a contender for the Division next season. If they start out poorly though, or even have a bad slide, the drama is going to be off the charts. I also do wonder how Rodgers will be health-wise. I also don't think you can just fabricate an O-line overnight, and they don't exactly have a ton of cap space and are short on picks. -
This x1000. It describes everything perfectly. I have been in this for 8 years and it's a nightmare. The cliques (I call them cartels) are infuriating. My kid tries out and makes top elite teams out of the area for the spring and summer (paid coaches), but the local parent coaches won't even return a call or email. I have yet to see a fist fight among parents.

He can put it to rest pretty easily and decisively. -

How do you explain Diggs invisibility act
May Day 10 replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought I saw that he was going, and he was going to participate in some sort of dodge ball thing or something edit: Just looked it up and he replaced Amari Cooper. When people would complain about Diggs the past month or so, I insisted he was hurt. I remember in maybe the Giants or Denver game, him getting thrown down super hard and he was slow to get up. Looked like it wrenched his back or something. Really wasn't the same since then. -

I was 'hopeful' that Diggs was just nursing injuries since mid season. I would feel a lot better if he wasnt participating in the Pro Bowl -

The Jets were building a pretty good ship there. I was really worried they would get Lamar and then look out Bills and Dolphins -
Detroit = Cleveland = Buffalo - The Curse of Lake Erie?
May Day 10 replied to K D's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am an Indians fan and it lines up with the Buffalo sports experience. A team that has had good runs and maintains general relevancy. However some really bad beats. Ownership also will not do what it takes to get over the top financially. Overall, it is not a curse. Buffalo had the Chiefs right where they wanted them in the last 2 playoff meetings and willingly let them off the hook. Last season and in 2021, the Bengals and Chiefs were just better at the time. The Sabres are just the worst run franchise in the 4 major sports and have been for more than a decade. The only curse is bad ownership/management. -
Doctor Who (Classic)... anyone else a fan?
May Day 10 replied to EasternOHBillsFan's topic in Off the Wall
When I was a little kid in the 80s, I loved the show. I dont remember much except for the trippy theme song and some robot turret things. Whenever I needed to take some medicine or get a shot or something, my mom would tell me to "Pretend you are Dr Who" to make me brave and go through with it. -
If Derrick Henry wasn't given the award for his other-worldly 2,000 yard season in 2020, I don't think they will ever consider a running back.

All of this. On paper its a cool idea, but interpersonally it invites a lot of issues and McDermott making that move almost certainly signs his own pink slip

Brady -> Mahomes AFC dominance is best case for league realignment
May Day 10 replied to Peevo's topic in The Stadium Wall
I say it every time this comes up... Im all for realignment. I am bored to death of New England, the Jets, and Miami covering 1/3 of the schedule every season. The 8-division, 32 team structure is really good and solid as far as scheduling. In some sort of dystopian society, the NFL would hold a 'draw' in March, where they pick the 8 Divisions World Cup style.
