I think you are both right. Rodgers is a huge problem, but ultimately, it was Woody Johnson who demanded the shiny toys and capitulated this whole organization to this mega-brain QB. The Salah firing was also a bad move IMO as their defense seems to have taken a few steps back since then (and from what I have observed, he seems to be a popular players' coach there and they generally battled for him)
A prudent team would have seen they had a scrappy team with high-end young players and been able to go out and get someone like Baker Mayfield, Cousins, Carr, etc and they would be much better for it. They have basically ruined the opportunity window for their young players, and some are regressing.
Gifting so much clout and cap to Rodgers was such a mistake. I think it is going to get ugly there (if it isnt already) between players. Rodgers took and took, skipped mini camp, talks a big game, makes excuse after excuse, throws teammates under the bus, and has run out of runway.
