Someone asked me who Fitz reminds me of...
opfball91 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I never think its good to draw comparisons to the point of pretty much calling the two guys the same player. I like Fitz and there's no need to go looking for another QB right now in my opinion. He has a pretty huge lack of talent around him and yet he still makes plays. You call out his accuracy yet he's been above 60% this whole year, he's on track for potentially a 30 TD season. I see no reason to go looking elsewhere before we look to sharpen up other areas of our team. -
Fitz made plays today, and missed plays today. He's stopped playing gutsy and started playing conservatively with his throws. Less interceptions, but he doesn't feel like the Fitz I knew and loved. He is getting more accurate (slowly), though not in the deep throwing game. Brad Smith is finally stepping up, Spiller looks better every game he plays. We're gonna have talent in a year or two. And I'm just as tired of saying that as the rest of you are, FYI.

I'm not upset about this season...
opfball91 replied to devldog131's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dareus played a great game today, he was shedding blocks and making tackles parallel to the line of scrimmage. He's not a pass rusher, at least not yet, he's a defensive tackle and he's good. -
What does the team need going into next season?
opfball91 replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our defense was much better against the run with Williams in there, if only we could get a pass rush and some coverage. Though I attribute a lot of our coverage woes to McKelvin being a starter the whole year, so happy they downgraded him to special teamer cause he really is a bad bad football player. Might be a great athlete, but a god awful football player. The one game I recall him having an impact in was in his rookie year (I think) where he had two picks against KC, though Trent Edwards looked like an MVP candidate in that game, so take it with a grain of salt. Pass rusher is our number one priority next year, think that's where we go in the first round. I'd like to see us maybe trade up for some talent at WR as well, if there's a guy worth it. God FORBID we make any real splashes in free agency. -
League will study Johnson's escape from Revis Island

Just like you shouldn't judge a player on one bad game you shouldn't judge a player on one good game, I don't care who it was against. Stevie has been a non factor most of the year, I don't understand why now that he has a game people are talking like he's this huge number one guy. Consistency, that's the name of the game if you wanna be successful in this league. -
Please Admit This Season Was Disappointing

Bills roster listed in order of impact if player went on IR
opfball91 replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say cut him after this season, and draft a project guy in the 3rd to sit behind Fitz for a few years. If Fitz works out then great, if the kid works out then great. If neither work out then cut em both and draft a QB in the first round like we SHOULD do to get a franchise guy. -
A Interesting Question For Bills Fans ???
opfball91 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll say this, he was better than Trent. I don't know how he would've faired, to be honest I never thought he was all that awful I just didn't like his attitude nor his high pitched voice. And yeah, the coaching changes definitely didn't help. But we drafted a QB in the first round and didn't build around HIM. Fitz didn't just turn into Fitz overnight, look at his stats elsewhere, he never was an awful QB. Granted he's done better in Buffalo than other places but I would contribute that more to the opportunities he was given here. Right now, Fitz is the only QB I want in Buffalo, unless RG3 comes out... -

Well CJ Spiller, shed that bust label over these next 6 weeks! -

I don't think we can even be thinking about playoffs at this point. Our team has collapsed. -
Jets get at bye & 10 day lay off vs Buffalo in 2011

Two straight wins on the road, both to divisional opponents, after this we'll know if we're still in the playoff run. -
TEBOW!!! is a Jet! (finally)

I could really care less about Tebow, I'd love to see him continue to win but I think teams will catch on soon enough. More happy that the Jets lost and are now one loss behind us -

I don't care how we've looked the past two weeks, this team is still the team that scores 30 a game in my book with the best RB in the NFL. We're not out, go look at the standings there's a lot of good teams sitting at 5-4. Lets win 2 in a row and take that wild card spot from the !@#$ing Jets. -
Is Tebow turning the NFL upside down?
opfball91 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We'll put the option offense against the Packers spread, by the end McCarthy should have already made the switch over they'll probably be getting whooped so bad. -
It would be a struggle, close losses and piling injuries kill yet another Bills season. Here's hope to next year
-
We need to go back to the drawing board and evaluate our current offensive and defensive schemes. Clearly teams have caught on to us and we're looking like, well, the Bills out there. I really hope to see different against Miami. This team, like their quarterback, is among the best when they're at their best, but at their worst they're really really bad. I haven't given up home, still 7 games left to the season and though its hard to see it now anything could happen. At the very least, we improved over last year, and we'll keep improving years down the line.

Lol that's pretty comical. -
I don't wanna just beat them, I want to break their spirit.

Will be exciting to see what Dareus does at nose tackle again, especially against a guy like Mangold. Also everything Joe said is totally true, Eric Wood is an absolutely fierce blocker, highest motor on the o-line. Levitre is the most technically sound, but Wood just man handles people.

Brad Smith - Are we using him correctly?
opfball91 replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He gives Freddy and Fitz a break even if its only a short one, gets first downs, and like everyone said adds another wrinkle to our offense. I love him personally, never had so much confidence getting a first on a 2nd/3rd and short than I do when he has the ball. Plus he'll break one eventually I have to think. -

No one. Literally. -
With some of the picks Fitz is prone to throwing and some of the picks Revis is prone to making call me slightly skeptical at throwing the ball his way.

That thought just made me so happy for some reason.
