I'm hoping they have a stealth campaign to make a run at Clowney in addition to getting D. Williams and Morse or Paradis at center.
I've looked at the Sportac NFL site and based on players that can be cut to add cap space and who are critical "need to resign" I feel players like Lawrence of Dallas, Clowney of the Texans, Flowers of NE, Dee Ford in KC and others will be resigned by their current teams. We can outbid the Panthers for Darryl Williams, Chiefs won't have enough cap space for Morse and have his replacement in place, Vikings tight against the cap and have to resign Anthony Barr and add on the offensive line. Paradies will probably resign in Denver as they have cap space.
The signings I've suggested are based on their ability to be signed and based on their current teams salary or depth issues and other priority needs.

There’s a lot of holes to fill already. Why create more?
What makes people think they are going on some huge spending spree? They may target a couple of the top lineman, but they aren’t spending all that money. They will spend to get to the minimum cap level and roll more over for next season. Beane has said repeatedly they are not building this team via free agency but through drafting good.
Here is what I suggest they add in Free Agency
RT - Darryl Williams - 5 years - $55,000,000
C - Matt Morse - 4 years - $32,000,000
DT - Sheldon Richardson - 3 years $30,000,000
TE - Jesse James - 4 years - $24,000,000
DT - Jordan Phillips - 3 years - $10,000,000
RB- Tevan Coleman - 3 years - $15,000,000
Total FY 2019 Cap Space - $43,000,000, leaves $42,000,000 left
Now draft needs:
WR
TE
OG
RB
S
Would love to add
DK Metcalf or Hakeem Butler
TJ Hockenson or Irv Smith
Either Wisconsin OG
Hendorson or Love at RB
A LB/S hybrid
That gives the Bills a lot to build with

You do realize they are not going to come close to spending the 79 m they have now? We don't want to be in cap hell in two years.
Just now, HOUSE said:Why makes cuts in the middle of a Sabres game?
Live in San Diego, watching game on Direct TV, channel 772, lol

What measureables does Cam Phillips have that compares to Robert Foster

I stopped reading when I saw you suggest cutting Ivory...
Ivory can and should be replaced with a back such as TJ Yeldon, Tevan Coleman and obviously a draft pick

So you will cut Cam Phillips a rookie at the league minimum to make cap space? They aren't going to do that.
Is he going to make the 2019 team or be a hot signing by another team. No
If thats the case why not

I'd add as follows
Darryl Williams 5 years $55,000,000
Jordan Phillips 3 years - $10,000,000
Mitch Morse 4 years - $32,000,000
Jesse James 4 years - $24,000,000

Here are some easy cuts to add $6,000,000 to our $78,750,000 in cap space
Chris Ivory
Vlad Ducasse
Punter
Cam Phillips
Denzel Rice
These obvious moves would bring our cap space to $85,000,000.
That additional space is going to be very helpful.

Teller is fine at LG. I think Dawkins should move to RT, sign a C and RG, draft a LT.
Which LT would you select in this draft.
-
This draft and FA market is full of RT candidates. As much as I'd love to see Dawkins move to LG I'm concerned we would fill a hole and open another.
It appears that Andre Dillard is the best available LT prospect in this draft. But 9 is way to early to take him.
I believe the Bills will be able to fill RT in free agency, maybe Darryl Williams or Juwann James. So, if Dawkins is moved to LG, and Teller progresses at RG, we still need a LT.
What are your thoughts
-
Williams is a great fit and based on the "Carolina Connection" and our cap space availability we hopefully make this move and lock down the RT spot for years to come.
Add a TE and DT and possibly a C in FA and then use the draft to get a WR, TE, G, RB and LB and the team is looking good in 2019

I understand in addition to the 5 regular picks remaining, that they will also receive three comp picks in the 2019 draft, including the highest comp pick for the loss of Kirk Cousins which will be at pick 97.
I still think they are unlikely to move up however..
Great point

There are a lot of great players on offense between picks 15 - 100. If we can trade #9 for 2-3 more picks in rounds 1-2 or 3 count me in. Like Washington trades us #15, #46 and #77 for #9. We would end up with 15, 40, 46, 75 and 77. Yup.
Redskins only have 5 picks in this draft. High probability if they trade they move down to acquire more. The QB situation for 2019 will be a combo of Colt McCoy and a Ryan Fitzpatrick combo. Then wait for 2020.

At 32 with injury history I'd offer 2 yr contract, with an option for 3rd year. Max money 9 Million. Money saved by releasing Ducasse.

Yeah. I'm just underwhelmed. Guy had 15 sacks in 3 years. Small. I wouldn't take him in the top 20. Much more of a Ferrill guy.
6'2", 260, projected 4.8 forty. Think he may be drafted higher then his measureables merit.
No thank you

When I did my final mock draft I had the Bills selection both Johnson and Teller. Of course I also had us taking Vander Eche and Lamar Jackson in the first so there's that too, lol
-
Hmmmmmm, an interesting trade down. Depending on FA pick-ups. If we get a RT and G along with TE and DT. I can see making this move.
Picking at 24, let's play the guessing game as to who will be left when the Bills pick.
Projected Picks:
Edge
Bosa, Allen, Sweat, Ferrell, Polite, Burns
DT
Williams, Oliver, Wilkins, Simmons, Gary
QB
Haskins, Lock, Murray
OL
Williams, Ford, Taylor, Dillard
LB
White
DB
Williams, Murphy, Thompson
WR
Metcalf
The Bills now have picks 24 & 27
for now, Eagles at 25 have need at RB, Colts at 26, DT and WR
I would select at 24 - Hakeem Butler, Eagles then go Jacobs at RB and Colts go Dexter Lawrence, then at 27 I would select TJ Hockenson
At 40, hope for Risner or C from NC State

If we address the offensive line in free agency, I’d be perfectly content with taking Hockenson at 9 to be honest. Will be considered a reach, but there’s almost zero chance he will be there with our second pick.
I think Josh Allen would benefit more with a TE like Hock than a WR in round one. Plus I believe there’s very good value at the WR position in rounds 2-4.
It's a tough choice. I think the Bills can address two offensive linemen in FA and get a serviceable TE before the draft, and with a high number of solid veteran DT available make a pick-up in that area too.
I'm torn between the potential of a DK Metcalf and a TE like TJ Hockenson. Obviously the goal would be to trade down in the 1st, pick-up amother second and even make a deal to trade our 1st in 2020 and the later pick in the 2nd to go back up and get whichever player we wanted.
Thats a dream scenario and would be dependent on a trade down and then a team willing to trade out of the 1st round and move into the 2nd in 2019, maybe a team like Oakland.
In that scenario I could see the Bills getting Metcalf early and then going back up for Hockenson.

I'd rather go
#15 TJ Hockenson TE
#40 N'Keal Harry Wr
#46 Chris Lindstrom G
#75 Andy Isabella Wr
Are u just noting your draft choices and ignoring the body of the post where we sign:
C Mitch Morse
RT - Juwann James
TE - Kyle Rudolph
TE - Dwayne Allen
As much as I love TJ Hockenson I feel Metcalf at 6'4", 230, sub 4.5 is the Julio Jones/AJ Green of this draft.
Lindatrom at G puts a stud opposite of Teller and Tillery is a penetrating type of DT to replace Kyle

I was reviewing the Sportac website and looking at the teams number of players signed, available cap space and players who are possible releases do to cap issues.
NE has 16 million in cap space, and needs to resign Flowers and get themselves a WR and TE.
They can save 10 million by cutting Gronk (he's probably going to retire) and Dwayne Allen (7.2 Million cap savings),m.
I think they cut Allen regardless, sign a TE like Jessie James of Pittsburgh or one of the Bengal TE's and draft someone like Hockenson, Fant or Irv Smith.
The Vikings have only $5,000,000 in cap space and can save 7.2 million by cutting Kyle Rudolph.
Here is my thought, if released sign both Rudolph (high priority), and Allen (reasonable contract), and cut Clay (save 4.5 million), sign James of Miami at RT, Think Carolina has enough cap space to resign Darryl Williams. KC dosent have cap space to retain Mitch Morse so let's sign him to play C. Hope to trade down with Washington to get 15 and 46.
My Bills picks:
15 DJ Metcalf - WR
40 Chris Lindstrom - G
46 Jerry Tillery - DT

If the Bills could find a trade down partner, such as the Redskins or Steelers, and net a 2nd round pick this year and a 2020 1st round pick, then send those two picks to Atlanta for Julio Jones(assuming he would be willing to stay long term with the Bills), would you be willing to do this.
Essentially, the Bills would be getting Jones in return for moving down 10-15 spots in the first round of this years draft.
Do you think a move like this would be possible?
Would you do it if it was?
Problem with your scenario is if the Bills do a trade down with Washington the draft value chart would be adding their 2nd round pick.
Would I deal maybe our 2nd round pick and a 3rd in 2020 for Julio Jones. Hmmmmm, depends on what receivers are left when the 40th pick. Let's assume the value for Antonio Brown is the 49ers 2nd and a conditional 2020 pick, that would set the market.
If the Bills trade down to 15, right now based on getting a RT and G in FA, I would select TJ Hockenson. Let's further assume that Titans, Ravens and Raiders go WR, let's say Metcalf, Harry, and Harmon go in the first, then Cardinals and Jets go Samuels and Butler. Then I would absolutely Pursue a Julio Jones deal
-
Teams with high priority WR Needs:
Arizona - May take one at top of the 2nd round
49ers - High probability to acquire Antonio Brown
Jets - Need # 1 for Darnold, may take 2nd round
Raiders - Need 2 probably taking one with 2nd or 3rd 1st round pick
Buccaneers - Solid at WR
Giants - Solid at WR
Jaguars - Need QB 1st, WR later
Lions - Major need, but not in 1st round
Bills - Major need, but others Needs on OLine may be higher priority
Broncos - Drafted young WR last year
Bengals - Later round depth pick
Packers - Drafted young WR's last year
Dolphins - Too many other needs
Falcons - Solid at this position
Redskins - QB highest priority
Panthers - Have young WR Talent
Browns - Could go for a compliment for Landry
Vikings - OL is highest priority
Titans - Could go WR or TE
Steelers - Need CB or LB
Seahawks - Needs in other areas
Ravens - May go RB based on their system
Texans - OL 1st priority
Raiders - Could be CB or WR
Eagles - DB is major need
Colts - WR or DT are priority needs
Raiders - WR or DB
Chargers - LB or DT
Chiefs - Secondary
Packers - Safety or Edge
Rams - LB or DT
Patriots - TE

I like Ramon.....but would try to aquire OT Brown from the Pats
There is only one Gronk......but there does appear to be solid TE prospects in this draft and we SHOULD get one
Brown, Williams or James of Dolphins would be fine at RT, could even consider resigning Mills as swing T, Bodine is marginally ok at C, but prefer a better option in the draft as he is more back-up then starter material.
Thats why I believe the Bills by adding a G and RT in FA would set themselves up to use their draft position to try and get two 2nds by trading down in the first. Then the BPA at position of need would apply.
