We can learn that McBeane are idiots and have botched the QB position for this season fantastically.

I was hoping for a well-thought piece of feedback, but alas I get this.

So, what was your idea for the 2018 QB room, let's go back before we traded Tyrod and before the draft.  Please oh wise one, give me and the rest of the board your plan.

    Or, simply go away, idiot

  2. Based on the timewindow on Josh Allen's avaibility we will have Derek Anderson for the Colts and Patriots games.  Then we have our bye, JA will be ready to go, we can cut Peterman and add a useful player.  Let's speculate what we can learn in the next couple of games

    1.  With a less mobile, but far more experience QB who can read coverages and hopefully not run into sacks, we can get an actual read on our current starters on the offensive line.  Plus it's time to get a look at Wyatt Teller and Ike Botteger in game action.

    2.  With a more experienced QB, there is a possibility that we might see what we have in our WR group.  Is Benjamin a bust and should not be offered a new deal or is the problem that's he's not getting a rapport with Allen, let's see what Zay Jones has and even consider a double TE set and a single back in the backfield look considering Clay and Croom are better then Holmes, Ray-Ray and Foster

    3.  Let's see the team play complimentary football, improve on special teams, play ball control and field position and use the great defense we have to win this Sunday and try and stay competitive with the Patriots on Monday night.

After those two games we are on a bye and can reassess and move forward for the 2nd half of the season.

    Peterman - not a chance

So it's down to Allen and Anderson. Assuming Allen is healthy, do we want him to start? I'm to the point where if Anderson is even slightly competent, the bills should start him. Allen is looking really bad. He holds the ball waay to long and runs way to soon. Allen really needs to learn. He is not a starter yet. I love his fire and passion, but he is playing pre maturely Imo.

    Totally 100% concur

The Bills currently have over $6.7 m in dead cap space for players that the front office wanted to bring in and have an impact for the season: Coleman, AJM, Kerley and Newhouse. Are you telling me that Jeremy Kerley is not better than any wideout currently on the roster. Plus we are currently only $10.1M under the cap, so KB with a dead cap hit of $8.5M is not going anywhere. Glad we have purged the dead weight but I clearly have to question the cuts mentioned. Anyone have any thoughts? Don't follow the "Process" on these moves.

People don't take the time to review Sportac for Salary Cap Status as they either don't know where to look, are to lazy to put in the effort or simply want to rant to get their frustrations out.

Fans like you and I should be a blessing to the uninformed, pathetically lazy or hopelessly drunk and pathetic who are just waiting for another burning table to jump thru at the next home game.

But, alas, quality takes with well thought out ideas are to most members on this board as a college education is to being a high school dropout.

We will keep posting to the ignorant and pathetic and hope that something sticks.

Doubtful, but there is always hope.

never said no one else said we should draft him. But me and Jeffsmagic were the most vocal about it and we were ridiculed for it to no end

If you gave Mahomes the same players as Allen has he would have awful stats too.

So f?????? Stop with if we had Mahomes talk, we got Tre White and Dion Dawkins and allowed us to maneuver in this years draft.

    So please STFU

A guy I work with is a Clemson grad and huge fan.  He commented to me back at final cut day, "Be prepared for McCloud to put a couple on the carpet!"   He was right!

Will be interesting to see next week, who starts at QB, if Allen isn't healthy, do they feel Anderson has learned enough to start him, and even if Allen is ready to go, who start, Allen or Anderson??

Concur, cut Ray-Ray and promote Cam Philips for now, Persue WR in trade or maybe look at resigning Jeremy Kerley

That's easy. We're rebuilding. Help for the offense will arrive next year. Bills fans, you can either accept it or whine and cry. Your choice.

Yes, we are rebuilding and that's obvious, but there are actions you can take as I'm sure the Bills front office will do.

The purpose of my post was to get a pulse of the knowledgeable fans to see what beyond I wrote may be in others people's thoughts.

  8. Now that the loss has moved past the we should have won and the hate Peterman phase.  Let's all

take a deep breath and assess where the Bills are and what they might do.

At 2-4 here is what we know:

    1.  Defense is outstanding, all elements are in place for short term and long term success.  Do need another CB to complete the D

    2.  Offense is 1991 Colts bad (averaged less then 10 points a game).  Our rookie QB dosent have any tools to work with, shows his inexperience and would be better served by watching from the bench.  To truly assess the receivers we need Derek Anderson to start the next few games at the least to see if Benjamin comes around and what we really have in Zay Jones.  It's time to give Teller and Botteger snaps in the regular season to determine if they are part of the future before next years draft.

    3.  The punt game needs dramatic improvement.  Drew Kaser is available and should be signed.  McCloud should be cut as he adds nothing to the roster as either a receiver or a returner.

    4.  Cut Peterman and if you want him he will clear waivers and you can add him to the practice squad.

    5.  Look at trade options to teams who are out of contention such as the Raiders, Broncos and Cardinals to see if players such as Amari Cooper, Demarius Thomas, Patrick Peterson and Hassan Reddick may be worth taking a shot at in trade.

    6.  Let JA learn on the bench until later in the season to see the game from a different perspective as we get to see what the Bills need to do in the next off-season

People are going to be in for a rude awakening next offseason.. Beane isn’t going to throw stupid money at free agents.  Especially not at WR with such a poor group of free agents

I think there are much better receivers available then what the Bills have on their current roster.  As you may or may not remember you have to meet a minimum cap number so money does have to be spent.

    Devin funchess?????  **** no!!!

Funchess isn’t very good.  The chargers drafted mike Williams when they already had tyrell.  Says a lot abiut him.  He’s a solid guy, but for him to come to play with us, he’s going to cost way more than he’s worth.

Chargers drafted Mike Williams because they weren't sure about how Keenan Allen would come back from his knee injury.  Now they have an excess of talent at the position.  Funchess is a possession guy and can flex as a move TE into a two wide, double tight, single back formation.

I like WR Tyrell Williams, he'd be a good get but Tate/Funchess not so much, if I were going after a slot WR I'd go after John Brown (BAL), Zay Jones is most likely our WR2 and a drafted rookie WR as a WR1 imo. I like Levitre but he'll be 33 next season and Jared Veldheer has been on a decline since he left OAK? Forgot his 1st team. I'd like Saffold (31) or Quinton Spain who took over for Levitre, he's only 28, perhaps RFA B.J. Finney of Pittsburgh and we also need a capable C since I don't think we have one, Matt Paradis of Denver is a solid choice, very underrated imo.

Rams probably can't afford Saffold and he would be an excellent fit at G.  Love to see Teller and Botteger play to see what we got, think We could live with Mills as swing tackle if we draft a OT high.

If we sign Williams and Tate and play Zay in the slot and add two more WR in the draft I'd be thrilled.

I'd also keep McCoy and draft a young RB draft a quality TE to replace Clay

Well, rookie OL typically don't need mentors. Spending big money on 32+ yr old linemen probably isn't that smart.  A guy like Daryl Williams is a much better target.

When theorycrafting next year's FA targets, ask yourself "How will this player help the team in 2020, 2021, and 2022?" If they don't, they are probably not a realistic target.

Point taken, looking at rookies starting in 2nd year, just we need to use the cap space to make immediate improvements and yes, pay bigger money up front for quality o linemen then less on back end of the contracts to soften cap hit

Next year Tate is 31, Levitre 33, and Veldheer is 32. Not gonna happen.

Want experience in the offensive line as the rookies they draft can learn before they are forced to play in front of a young QB

Wow, awesome. You have low expectations....

OK. I would want better.. Tyrell Williams doesn't seem to be a #1.. I do like him over D Funchess

I live now in San Diego and see Charger games each week, and I have NFL Sunday ticket.  Williams is a beast, tall at 6'4", big at 215, fast sub 4.5 and can leap.  Had over 1000 yards two years ago when Keenan Allen got hurt, got 800 yards last year, 1st round pick Mike Williams and he are sharing 2nd receiver duties this year.

Sorry, he would be a complimentary 2nd with Tyrell Williams being the number 1

    Fixed it for you ??

Well played. I was going for slow can't get it open horror show with differing names myself

If you extrapolate his 4 game statistics over a 16 game schedule he would have 72 receptions for 952 yards and 4 TD's.

Do you have a problem with those stats?

  16. Just now, Starr Almighty said:

You are aware that funchess is KB with a different last name right?

Younger, no injury history and red zone threat, Tate brings shiftiness and experience, Williams deep outside threat, Jones in slot, then add another in the draft.  Both OL would add experience giving time for rookies to develop

  17. I would let Benjamin, Groy and Miller leave, would sign Tyrell Williams of Chargers, huge speedy WR that has had 1000 yard season, and Golden Tate and Devon Funchess, would add Andy Levitre and Jared Veldheer.

Then dependent on draft position would add CB, OLB, WR, G, OT, RB, TE and depth

    Your thoughts
