  1. With the coaching change and a potential rebuild in Chicago would you make a draft pick offer for Patrick Kane.  He's only 29 and would have three to four quality years left.

We do have three first round picks and I'm wondering if Kane is the additional forward to add with so much depth in our farm system.

    Your thoughts?

This year isn’t possible.  Sign leveon bell, tyrell Williams, Daryl williams right tackle. Nkeal Harry first round, center second round. Guard third.

Great post, also I would add play Teller and Botteger starting now, let's see what we have.

Get JA back after the bye week and try and open up the offense for the last 6 games to see what we have.

Make changes as needed on the special teams punt return and punt game.

Also add a best guard or center in FA

That's why we need to trade our projected top 3 pick to collect more picks where the top offensive players will be and to fill numerous holes.

Don't lose any sleep, we will lose to the Jets. I suspect a touchdown underdog.

I'm not concerned about a Bills team QB'd by Anderson or Petermen, it's 4 winnable home games left on the schedule

Is giving up way too early a Buffalo thing or is this a personal issue???

No, it's the way to find good in all the misery of this season.

Lets go back to 1984.  One of the worst seasons in Bills history, Kelly still playing in the USFL, Knox walking away due to issues with Ralph.  The AFC East title in 1980 and playoff birth in 1981 were distant memories.  Bruce Matheson at QB.  That horrific season ended with the Bills with a lot of picks of which they turned into Hall of Fame DE Bruce Smith, Hall of Fame WR Andre Reed and quality back-up QB Frank Reich.

The demise of the USFL led to many more quality additions and a not so disimilar situation in having 91 Million in cap space is nearing.

Meaningless wins in this lost season so nothing to help the future, the critical loss of one spot in the draft cost the Bills the opportunity to get LB Patrick Willis and later Luke Keachly.

I want to lose out to get the best player available regardless of position, then supplement free agency with picks for defined need.

History should teach us that it's easier to rise to the top after you have sunk to the bottom.

    Comments are welcome of course.

  5. The draft board is shaping up and it looks as though the Bills can lock down a top 5 pick with a loss next Sunday to the 3-6 NY Jets.

Its gonna be tough to out-suck the Raiders and the Giants are pretty putrid too.  The Cardinals smell of rotting garbage and the 49ers are perking up with an unknown free agent QB so they could get a couple of more wins.  The Browns are a grease fire ? and could easily lose out.  The Cardinals do play the Raiders in what may be the worst game on the NFL schedule this year.

So, I'm hoping we can fall no lower then the 3rd pick in the draft, but sadly we will get Allen back after the bye and with home games against the Jags, Lions, Jets and Dolphins we could stumble into a couple of worthless victories.

Maybe we should put Allen on IR, promote "Nate the great" to starter for the rest of the year in hopes of a historical inept performance on offense leading the team to a draft improving 2-14 record to truly start the rebuild.

He's 5'11 and he'll probably weigh closer to 178-180 when it's done. By far the most exciting WR in the draft. Hollywood will be a playmaker in the NFL.

Remember Tavon Austin, that's what you want the Bills to draft.

Thank god your not the GM

Plays in a spread offense in a lousy defensive conference.  Don't see how you see this gay as anything but a gimmick type player

  7. I would like to bring him in to work with JA.  He has a really solid history in working and developing young QB's.

It of course would be dependent if his and Daboll's philosophy match.

I think Trestman peaks kinda like Norv Turner, great coordinator, poor Head coach.

Based on how he and Daboll can mesh, I say yes.

  8. For those of you lamenting this season's offensive disaster please go take a look that was the refuse stench of the 1968 Bills.

1-12-1 record, 205 yards per game on offense, 7 games under 200 yards.

Being an older fan I sadly remember that train wreck of a season.

  9. Listening to AM 1090 in San Diego on the way to work and commentator stated how he's looking forward to seeing if the Patriots could put up 70 points on the Bills tonight.

I'm so pissed ? that we get abused by even remote locations by radio hosts who don't even have a local team.

C'mon Bills, put on a great performance tonight and shock the world.

Josh Rosen, the 'other' Josh, led a dramatic Arizona comeback today to pull out a win 18-15 against SF. (I watched the 4th Quarter because I am in a football pool and the game mattered). Down 15-3 in the 4th Quarter, JR was accurate and stayed poised, under duress, in the pocket. Dare I say, unlike the Bills' strong-armed, mobile, yet skiddish and inaccurate rookie, Josh Allen.

Did the Bills take the wrong Josh? From the evidence I've seen to date... regrettably, yes.

Maybe you didn't watch him against an NFL defense last Thursday night at home against Denver.

I'll take out Josh thank you.  Let's see if the Bills had Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk instead of Kelvin "hands of stone" and pillsbery doughboy" Benjamin out their with Jay Jones maybe we would see a different Josh Allen.

I think a win at Minnesota is a bit more telling then a late comeback against the "With the 1st pick in the 2019 draft", 49ers, don't you?

  11. Well, now that we have had a chance to see more then a sample of the rookie QB class, let's review:

Baker Mayfield - Average to date, has more weapons then Darnold, Allen and Rosen, but can already see issues that will be long term, short, not particularly mobile in the pocket, has potential to be solid starter based on what we have seen.

Sam Darnold - Impressive based on the lack of weapons on offense the Jets have.  Major issues with ball security.  Fairly athletic and can move in the pocket, let's hold initial judgement until he gets some weapons around him.

Josh Allen - From the small sample size is a great athlete with huge arm and is very mobile.  Inexperience has caused him major issues with sacks.  Accuracy is still an issue but honestly better then what I expected.  Has literally worst combination of offensive. Line and skill position players in the NFL.  Until the Bills provide him NFL talent to work with he is a work in progress.

Josh Rosen - To date in my opinion a true grease fire in a bad system in Arizona.  Horrid offensive line and can't utilize the skill position players he has on the roster.  Weaker arm then expected, skinny build and looks frail in the pocket.  Of all 4, looks most like bust.

The price for mediocrity is going up.

Never give up a first for that guy and his albatross of a contract.

Raiders actually made a smart move to move a high salary underachiever with lousy hands for a pick that will probably be in the top 15.  Sure the Cowboys are gonna love the hands that will hold 13 million next year and drop everything else.

I'm really starting to question if McDermott and Beane are the right guys.

I think they need a serious evaluation at the end of the year.

How about looking at the reasons why the 2018 Bills are such a poor team.

    1.  Decision made to sacrifice 2018 to correct the bad contracts that Whaley gave out leaving the Bills no cap money to improve offense and defense.

    2.  Made decision to give up draft capital to get the QB of the future and the MLB of the future and let both play and develop.

    3.  Schedule makers did the Bills no favors with 5 of the 1st 7 on the road.

Biggest mistake was not bringing in experienced QB earlier like Anderson to mentor Allen.

Let the season play out, I expect to finish 5-11, draft in the top 8.  Use money available in free agency to upgrade WR and OL.  Then use all 10 picks to upgrade the roster.  Need OT, WR, OG, TE, C, CB, outside LB and RB.

Hope to see Teller and Botteger get some snaps in 2nd half of the season.

I’m hoping for Hebert and a good free agency market ....

What, we have a young QB that makes Hebert look terrible in comparison.

How about we provide him talent around him like the Bears and Chiefs did with their young QB's.  Then you'll see comparable results.

I mean it's obvious this blowout loss was clearly Nathan Peterman's fault. He played 0 snaps but this is his fault 100%.

    That's my anal-ysis.

In fact your absolutely right.  The Bills were just minutes away from a win in Houston, then they were Petermened to lose a hard-played game.  That took their spirit and it showed in today's play.

Beane and McDermott have shown a penchant for drafting a single player with multiple picks, so yes.

Last time they traded back they passed on Mahomes. Doesn’t look like a brilliant move right now.

If you put Mahomes with this offense you would be  screaming what a bust he is.  You build the pieces and then add the QB.  Chiefs had RB, TE, WR and offensive line in place, then added Mahomes.  Do you see a similar personnel situation for Allen in Buffalo?
