  1. RW is not losing money on the Bills, it's silly to even say as much. $25,000 turned into $750 M divided by 50 years, so he's made ~$15 M a year outside the gate.
  2. Boldin would give us a chance to score on every drive, unlike now.
  3. Hopefully he is cut sooner than later, Frankenstein runner he is.
  4. At least the Pats care about having a good back & this ties up mega money on their behalf. Brady is not going to be ready come regular season if the Pats we're willing to do this (JMHO) Matt Cassel has accepted the New England Patriots' non-exclusive franchise tender, guaranteeing the quarterback at least $14.65 million next season, league sources told ESPN. The next step is for the Patriots to send Cassel a contract. Cassel effectively will not be a free agent come Feb. 27 and will not be permitted to shop himself to other teams. The Patriots could still trade Cassel. Cassel faxed his acceptance to the Patriots, the NFL and the NFLPA on Saturday. That means a $14.651 million salary for 2009 in guaranteed even though he has not signed a one-year contract yet. The franchise tag's value is the average of the top five salaries for NFL players at a particular position. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3891669 Source: ESPN
  5. Best player on the board is the rule of thumb, personally we need to get a few top tier FA's to help us.
  6. Whatever team that PETA's office is farthest from with a record below .500.
  7. If we picked up Fat Albert, you could chalk us up for a top 10 D next season if we stay healthy.
  8. I was in sports authority walking by a TV when I heard it.
  9. Wayne pulled it before the sale, that's all I reported. Find where I posted the money aspect of this.
  10. Arizona Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin says the team's failure to rework his contract last offseason has left an irreparable rift between him and the organization, and Kurt Warner says healing that rift will be a key factor in whether he chooses to return in 2009. "I don't think the relationship can be repaired with the organization," Boldin told USA Today. "It takes more than, 'Well, we did you wrong and we'll pay you this.' It's not about the money. It was always about the principle. Guys being true to their word. I guess I was expected to uphold my end of the bargain, and it wasn't reciprocated." Cardinals President Michael Bidwill said before the Super Bowl, in which Boldin had eight catches for 84 yards, "We view (Anquan) as one of our core players. We've tried to work with him to restructure his deal and extend it. ... We're hopeful we can get it done." http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/29061885/
  11. It's a guess but a logical business move which was presented in the softest fashion. I think the clause was more if a JO bought the team and Parcells didn't want to deal with whoever that was. The new owner probably pines for Parcells secretly, it's a Miami thing.
  12. I think it went more like, Bill I need to remove that stupid clause to make your new boss happy, are you on the team?? Cue the crickets.
  13. So there was no nobility in Parcells actions, just to set the record straight. Source: Espn (TV)
  14. Brady may have a bigger problem hanging and the team wants to be sure about having a QB.
  15. We need another mexican QB but only if he has a good combine. Maybe he can help clean up the lawns of Buffalo, LOL.
  16. 3 year deal, $10 M a year would do it.
  17. He's out of conference (which Carolina will like), wants to get paid (we have the money) and Peppers would have Stroud to keep teams from triple teaming him (career prolonging event). All things being equal I think Peppers keeps our current season ticket holder base at or near the same level. Toss in a few other token names and a good draft and we'll all be drinking the Bills Kool-aid by the gallons. We need a new hero, not a group of victimized greenies.
  18. Ralph admitted that the team is lacking in talent, so who is our suprise FA pickup this year?? I am going with Peppers, fills a need and gives us a chance to smother opposing QB's.
  19. I think we need a real #1 WR, so this is just like your opinion man.
  20. Mix luck, talent, health and good coaching & I'll show you a near SB winner.
  21. I am of the mindset that we are a true #1 WR from having a threatening offense. Watch the tape on Fitzgerald when he caught the SB TD ball and where the steelers D was, it wasn't even close. Receiving threats have a way of forcing Defenses to make adjustments and leave someone else open. When the steelers smothered Fitz, edge - Breaston - Bolding all got passes. As soon as the steelers took the focus off Fitz, they got toasted. True # 1 no guessing WR and we are in the playoffs (with a good draft as well).
  22. This post makes me look like a genius.
  23. It was me, I was hoping it was Brady.
