  3. NFL star Jeremy Shockey was taken out of the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas today by stretcher and taken to a nearby hospital. Sources on the scene tell TMZ Shockey was at Rehab -- the ironic name of the Sunday pool party at the Hard Rock -- when he was found unconscious at around 2:00 PM. Paramedics ended up wheeling Shockey out of the Hard Rock via stretcher. We're told the paramedics tried to cover Shockey up so onlookers -- including a TV camera crew -- couldn't ID him. http://www.tmz.com/2009/05/24/jeremy-shockey-hospital/
  4. Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. The team fell apart when the schedule got harder last season, the reason was depth / talent. We fielded a group of problems in different areas were led by coach on all on the playoffs or bust theme. We didn't make the playoffs but there was no bust. The coach and a majority of the assists stayed. Those of you that want to forget the past must realize as fans and even the players can draw strength from it. Falling down all the time happens because we never took the steps necessary to go forward. We have no real back-up QB, a suspect pass rush and a patchwork-in progress O-line. You want to focus on the 2009 season, go ahead. I want the team to focus on fixing what's I feel is left wrong. The team / coaches read this board and they see these posts. The smarter posters will follow my logic, the less than mentality focused one's will be confused. Why I post is, to express my disapproval of some unfinished business and to give credit when the team moves in the right direction. We are 3 / 4 players away from a possibility of post-season play unless a few of the guys we have now step up and play over their head. We might get a few of them to do as such but the odds are against all of them fitting the bill. You don't want the season to start right now, nor focus on it yet. I can't take another 7-9 season and 10 years of no chance to win it all makes me sick, it's time for a few more improvements. / rant.

  6. TO puts his heart on the field every game, that will make a big statement.
  7. If he was with the K9 unit, there is going to be the devil to pay.
  8. I was there as well. It was cloudy that whole game, which was great and we had a blast as well. We ate at Morton's the night before and loved the food.
  9. Are you 70 years old? Watch this one and tell me how long he roasts Jimmy Stewart?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7xyODPA35k...feature=related
  10. People speak of repeating crimes when they repeat crimes all the time themselves, however big or small they're still crimes. They either do not consider them wrong or just don't care. Vick obviously didn't think that this was a big deal but it took away his wealth / freedom, I think he might know better now. What better back-up QB to have then a extremely talented / contrite one?
  11. Vick is suspended by the NFL but that shouldn't be a problem. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said that Vick has to be genuinely remorseful for bankrolling a dog-fighting operation — and for torturing and killing dogs. I don't know how anyone could determine how sincere Vick's apologies are. Most of us don't believe Vick is sorry about anything except getting caught, but we can't be sure. Neither can Goodell. I don't see how he couldn't lift Vick's suspension before the 2009 season. Vick isn't a credit to the NFL, but many other guys aren't either, and they'll be playing. Imagine a 2009 Buffalo Bills offense with Owens and Vick added to the mix. It would mean nightmares for opposing defensive coaches, and sell tickets. I believe T.O. is the main reason the Bills didn't suffer a major drop in ticket sales for this season coming off a third straight 7-9 record and the rehiring of coach Dick Jauron. I believe signing Vick would sell even more season tickets. Some people might try to cancel with a dog-killer on the team, but I think many more people would take their place. Vick dreams of being the object of a bidding war and signing for $10 million a year. That's not going to happen. But several teams figure to be interested in him and I hope the Bills are one of them — at a reasonable price, maybe one season for $2 or $3 million. The Bills could afford him and could use him. Wouldn't it be fun to see Vick line up as a wide receiver or as a direct-snap Wildcat player? Opposing teams would have to put two defenders on him to contain him, and he also could be a passing threat. He'd also be a better bet as a backup quarterback than Ryan Fitzpatrick if Trent Edwards went down for a few games. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/articl...1/905240319/tbd
  12. All the people that smoke pot have violated the law everytime with possession rules as well. If you think about it, going over the speed limit, drink and drive, pee in public, public intoxication, jaywalk, go through a red light, how many crimes to we all do all the time? Peace loving mary's that go to church all the time and have to let you know about it are usually the first to violate the law, daily.
  13. This is the only sure win for the Bills.
