  1. Trust me, the stats aren't doing this justice. Think Bills-Dolphins playoff game in the early 90s, when Tim Tindale and anyone else we put in there, was rushing all over the completely helpless Dolphins. (That ought to bring a smile to some faces around here.) Now magnify that times 100 and you have today's Jags-Colts game. As bad as the defense has been for Indy today, the special teams have been just as bad. I'm not kidding. Bad punts, bad kickoffs, allowed a kickoff return for a TD, had a punt blocked... And the Colts have five easy drops, including Stokely dropping a sure touchdown on the fourth play of the game. And the offense continues to run the stretch play from time to time on first and 10, and each time it leads to 2nd and 16. They have to ditch that play. Even Manning and company can't get out of those kinds of holes.
  2. Three pages to the thread and my favorite band wasn't mentioned?! I guess I'm an odd ball. Counting Crows. Lots of good bands and good songs out there, but that's my Favorite. Band. Ever.
  3. But you screwed her with the tip right?
  4. And Spencer Tillman had to relive the Bills-Oilers game while doing the studio halftime show during the Alabama-Tennessee game.
  5. My initial thoughts: Wait, Sal took his head out of Andy Reid's ass long enough to make a speech? That's news in itself. Or...was it hard to understand Sal's words while trying to speak with McNabb's **** in his mouth? In all seriousness, it's great that you were able to have that conversation, but Marv Levy (no matter what he does in his career from this point forward) has done enough in this league (with so much class I might add) that using the word incompetent to describe him takes away any credibility that person has.
  6. Wait...you people don't already do this?
  7. First, let's not overlook the fact that Pooj was reaching for something here, and not trying to be serious. Right Pooj? (Please tell me I'm right Pooj.) Second, I was at the game Friday night at Joe Louis. Arena was half empty for the start of the game as fans were watching the Tigers in the concourse or perhaps nearby bars. By the end of the first period, the place was packed. Lots of enthusiastic Sabres fans...it was a fun night. I couldn't stick around for Sunday's game but obviously I didn't miss anything.
  8. I think you're on to something here, Pooj. And it's called crack.
  9. OK...help me with this one. I seem to remember a game where Travis scored but the refs called him down short of the goal line (stunning, I know), but wasn't there also a game where Travis has a huge hole to go into the end zone and inexplicably just falls down?
  10. Thank you for making me relive that moment, Ramius. Line opens up a rare hole and apparently either Travis was so stunned by this that it knocked him off his feet, or one of those crazy Raider fans shot him before he could reach the goal line. We suck. I love them. But we suck.
  11. Well at least he's still in the league. That has to count for something.
  12. OK, everyone, before this turns into that retarded Flutie/Johnson/Losman thread I wasted my time with earlier today, let's end it. Travis doesn't play for us anymore. We wouldn't rather have him instead of Willis on our current team. Let's move on.
  13. Yes, and that deserved to be mentioned in my post. You and I were on the same page regarding Steinbach. And I was going to say that TD made that pick for, as big a reason as any in my opinion, to bring attention upon himself.
  14. Yeah, he pretty much sucks. Just ask Va Bills and Bill in NYC. When we drafted Willis, we had so many more needs than a running back who was a year from being able to step on the field. A few years later, Travis is averaging almost a full yard more per carry than Willis, has more yards per game and has scored three touchdowns compared to one for Willis. But I guess that's because Travis is surrounded by so much talent in Tennessee. And three seasons later, we STILL have the same needs we had when we chose to select McGahee. Ironically enough, one of the two guys I was screaming at the TV for the Bills to take is the same guy Bill in NYC hopes we go after in free agency this coming off-season (Steinbach). (The other guy was Dallas Clark.) For the record, Willis is a better overall back than Travis. He has been better off the field than Travis. But we didn't need that pick at that time.
  15. And Rob Johnson.
  16. Agreed. The outcry with the Sabres new uniforms, while deserved, was much louder than when the Bills first put these hideous things on display. I can't stand those uniforms, especially the road jerseys. Even the new Sabres jerseys are already starting to grow on me; the Bills' jerseys still look like crap all these years later. They were selling the authentic road Willis jersey this week for a cheap $89 and I still couldn't pull the trigger. Hopefully we have new threads next year.
  17. I figured as much but just to be safe, I had to ask.
  18. This thread reminds of me of the guys arguing about the home run in "Major League." Too high? What do you mean, "Too High?" It was too high. Who gives a sh**? It's gone.
  19. Where are they and how much you want for them? Or are you kidding about not going?
  20. That is a great point, Scott. Remember some of those games at Arrowhead or Three Rivers. We took some whippings during those glory days.
  21. I'm on board, even if everyone does suck and must go.
  22. He had about 108 after the first play of the third quarter. From there, the Titans did nothing. I think the Colts pooled their money and parlayed the Titans and the under today. I have always been a Travis Henry fan. But Willis was an upgrade. I'm sure you agree. Travis wouldn't get 123 yards against Chicago. We'll see what Willis can do against the Colts in a few weeks.
  23. Mike...sorry if you feel you are being attacked for your post, but if you are not surprised at this notion, you CLEARLY haven't been paying attention since Takeo joined the Bills. There were many Sundays when Takeo was the only thing worth watching with this team. To suggest he's dogging it to the degree you stated in your post and then say it wouldn't surprise you if your speculation was true, is completely absurd.
  24. Damn right. I will be in Detroit Friday night for the game vs. the Red Wings. I simply can't wait.
