  1. I don't disagree with anything you said. I never said I feel bad for him. But there is a misconception amongst the fans as to why he left. I'm not saying it really even matters.
  2. But his stats are awesome. He does not put up the inflated, gaudy passing yards of say, a Matt Stafford, but his numbers are far more efficient.
  3. I meant lots of presumptions about Marrone and why he left, not other Bills-related topics that I am aware of. Basically the notion that Marrone quit simply because he thought he was going to get tons of offers elsewhere, he was too cool for the Bills, he wanted to make $4 million to do nothing, he quit on the players, etc. Like I said, I can tell you why he quit and he feels bad about it. At the end of the day, it worked out for all parties involved including us Bills fans. Don't ever question my Bills sources ever again. Are we clear?
  4. I'm not trying to insult you, I promise. I'm only trying to have a pleasant exchange. I am not trolling you. I think it's a fair question to ask. If you believe a young QB who was a first round draft pick, has only played 14 games in the league, has the size, the arm strength, the mobility and the necessary leadership qualities, would have lead the Bills to a 12-4 record last year had he not been replaced by Orton, as you have stated on this very website, I think it's fair to ask if you'd choose him in your top 5 QB's to build a team around. If I knew only those things about a QB, I would certainly take him on my team. And if you'd consider Manuel for your top 5 and you do not have Luck in your top 5, I think it's also fair to ask who you would take, Manuel or Luck. So, who would you take? See? No insults, no trolling, I'm simply asking you a question based on information you have given me.
  5. Luck is 3-3 in the playoffs in three seasons as a pro. That's really good. Don't worry, he'll win plenty of playoff games before it's said and done.
  6. Saying you wouldn't take Andrew Luck would be like if Connor McDavid, the only other guy I can compare Luck to in terms of sure things, came out and after three seasons he was every bit as good as advertised, was already a top 5 centre in the game but had only taken the Oilers to the conference finals, saying, "Nope, sorry, I'd take Patrick Sharp over him. He's won cups. McDavid can only take you so far. Plus, I don't like guys whose game is too focused around 'scoring' and 'skating.' Oh yeah and I'd also take Claude Giroux over him. He's not as good, he's a lot older and hasn't won a cup either." And then when enough people start questioning you about it, you magically disappear and go do the same thing in another thread. The question must be asked, are we getting crayonz'd by this guy??
  7. ? Not sure what you mean by that. So you are saying that you aren't necessarily picking the top 5 best but the 5 that are good but won't command top dollar? Every guy you selected is/will be a $20 million/year QB.
  8. Question, and based on your posting history I think it's a fair one: Who would you take on your roster right now, EJ Manuel or Andrew Luck?
  9. Look TBD wouldn't be the same without ya. Certainly no hard feelings. But come on man, you have gone on this utterly baseless anti-Luck tangent before and I just don't get it. So you're telling me that right now, if you could be handed a QB to play for the Bills, you would take Joe Flacco, Ben Roethlisberger entering his 12th year, Matt Ryan, who's never been as good ever as Luck already is, over Andrew Luck? What I think you may be doing here is trying to make a point that you're not as sold on Luck as the rest of us (which is fine, that's a fair opinion to have) but you're going maybe one step too far to make your point.
  10. It's certainly giving "the bills would've finished 12-4 last year had they stuck with Manuel" a run for its money.
  11. Luck is already better RIGHT NOW than all the quarterbacks you took except Rodgers. And he's younger than all of them. In each of his first three seasons, he made the playoffs in his first year, won a game in his second year and won two games in his third year. All with virtually no defense. His career trajectory couldn't be on a better track. Take Matt Ryan for instance. Andrew Luck is already putting up better numbers than Ryan has ever put up, he's five years younger and he's gotten the same distance in the playoffs (championship game). On what planet would you take Matt Ryan over Andrew Luck in any situation??? It's literally insane. This may be your most preposterous stance yet.
  12. Did you consider Manuel? If you honestly believe the Bills would've finished 12-4 last year if they stuck with Manuel as you've stated, you have to at least consider him I would think. Also, you would take 11-year veteran Ben Roethlisberger who is about five years away from having trouble walking over 25 year old Andrew Luck to build a team around? At least you are in the minority of people who spelled Aaron Rodgers' name right. Fair enough. Glad you agree though. I think Wilson and Ryan are pretty neck and neck, I could certainly see putting Wilson 3 ahead of Ryan.
  13. You can take it for whatever it's worth but I know two things to be true: number one, Marrone quit primarily because he refused to fire the bulk of his offensive coaching staff and the players know that. Two, Marrone feels bad about how it went down and was second guessing himself shortly after quitting. Lot of presumptions on this website that are not at all accurate. That all being said, yes, I'm sure the players will and already do prefer playing for Rex Ryan.
  14. Few things. First off, anyone who doesn't have Luck #1- I gotta seriously question their football acumen. Not that he'll necessarily be better than Rodgers but if you read the original post carefully, he is clearly the best answer to the question posed. Rodgers is obviously also in the top 5 because he's still young enough and he has relatively little wear and tear for a guy his age. Matt Ryan is 100% absolutely in the top 5 and it blows my mind that only one other person has mentioned him. Russell Wilson is also a shoe-in and anyone who spews the "he's overrated; he's not asked to do that much because their defense is so good" nonsense simply doesn't watch him play. So I think there is a clear cut top 4: 1. Luck 2. Rodgers 3. Ryan 4. Wilson After that, I think it's naïve to take Roethlisberger over Brady, Romo and certainly Rivers. He is entering his 12th year and he is beat up for an 11 year veteran. I wouldn't be surprised if Roethlisberger starts his inevitable decline before Brady does. After reading that SI article on Brady and how he takes care of his body last year and knowing just how much he loves to play the game, I am inclined to go Brady. It's hard to go against the best QB to ever play the game coming off one of his best seasons. I wouldn't be shocked if he is an elite QB at 40. Newton, Stafford, ehh. I'd probably take Flacco over either of them. 5. Brady
  15. Love Sal, hate Schopp & the Bulldog, hate Joe Buscaglia because he never played football himself, blah, blah, blah. Although the one guy I actually do hate is Mike Rodak. I'll give you guys that one.
  16. Top offensive coordinators, top front sevens, top skill position player trios, all division teams, it never ends. God the offseason NFL coverage is so overdone. I literally like the NFL less than I used to because of stuff like this. Can't wait for September.
  17. No I was not shocked with Sal's tweet after a few days of practice with no pads. Yes I would be shocked if right now, the majority of Bills fans didn't have Taylor's chances at third.
  18. Yeah I actually posted that on here a week ago. He had your boy 3rd ya know. I don't put any stock in that yet though. Since he tweeted that, Cassel's stock has fallen quite a bit too. None of it matters until the pads come on.
  19. I don't expect Taylor to start week 1. I think he has the 3rd best chance of the three and I'd be shocked if anyone disagreed with that. I'm saying if one guy were to really seize control of this thing and emerge as the clear cut starter, I would be most intrigued/excited if it were him. And one thing that is very important to note here is that if all three completely suck and Manuel sucks the least and is named the starter by default (which could very well happen), that should not be cause for the EJ dreamers to pop the bubbly just yet. I think everyone would agree that it would be nice to see one of these three guys really go out and earn it.
  20. What does the word "support" really even mean here? Look, if EJ Manuel wins the job, is starting to play well and has the Bills at 2-0 again, do you really think anyone on this website would want him to suck in week 3 and have the Bills lose to drop to 2-1 just so they can say "I told you so?" I would concede that I kind of want Taylor to win the job because he intrigues me the most but whoever wins the job is the Bills QB and everyone on this website is going to be rooting for them and "supporting" them come week 1, I can promise you that. Exactly. I would be surprised if Manuel won the job but honestly, besides kind of pulling for Taylor just because of how some friends of mine from VA Tech have hyped him, I really don't care who wins the job at all. For Christ sake, all I want is to watch a freaking playoff game with dudes wearing Bills uniforms and Bills helmets in January.
  21. Agreed completely. I invoked Jim Kelly initially because I said that all I and a bunch of other people have said is that we don't feel very confident in EJ Manuel's chances of developing into a franchise QB. No one is rooting against him, no one "hates" him, everyone "supports" him but if I was a betting man, which I am, I would say that the odds are stacked against him at this point. And all I said was that Jim Kelly himself has expressed a similar opinion several times- lest he too be called a "hater," etc.
  22. What the hell else is he gonna say? He doesn't have the tools? If you listen to WGR at all and have heard interviews with Jim Kelly over the last two years, you would have heard him express his doubts over EJ Manuel's long term prospects as a QB. When myself and Bills fan 4 life are in agreement on an issue, it may be time to look in the mirror. Proving, of course, that EJ Manuel will be good because good QB's have had bad games. Ya know, Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf also had bad games. Mike Munchak had a bad game at guard one time, therefore Chris Williams is going to be a good guard in this league. And also, no, he never even had 5 INT's in one game. Just looked it up.
  23. If you've never heard Jim Kelly express his doubts about Manuel, I don't know what to tell you. He was fairly vocal about it last season. Here, here's one: http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/12533/jim-kellys-full-thoughts-on-bills-qbs
  24. Me personally, all I've ever said is that I think it's unlikely at this point that Manuel will develop into a franchise QB. I think the odds of him being our unquestioned starter week 1 2017 (I think a good indicator of whether or not he becomes our franchise QB) are highly unlikely. I've never said anything beyond that. Jim Kelly himself has indicated that he is not overly optimistic about Manuel's chances. And yet for maintaining that opinion, I've been called a "hater," I've been told I'm rooting for him to fail, I'm on a "crusade," et al.
  25. I haven't read every post the guy has ever written but I am assuming that he, like myself, is a diehard Bills fan and wouldn't spend countless hours on a website devoted to the Buffalo Bills if he didn't want the Bills to succeed. Therefore, if EJ Manuel miraculously develops into a franchise QB, I'm sure he, like all the rest of us, would be thrilled. No one is rooting for him to fail. I will use the Chris Williams example again: do you think Chris Williams is going to develop into an all-pro guard? OK didn't think so. So does that mean you are rooting against him? If he did develop into an all-pro guard would that make you upset?
