  1. I mean, obviously. I haven't made one excuse for his 6 out of 10 play so far in limited preseason action. Yet I've seen droves of excuses made FOR him- line play, bad snap, third stringers, blah blah blah. This is becoming embarrassing as a member of this website.
  2. Is your argument that the Bills should in fact base their decision solely on each QB's three series or so today?
  3. This is getting really dumb. Even I thought the OP was better than this.
  4. I don't know this but I can't imagine who goes second tomorrow means anything at all.
  5. The other guys have played well in preseason too. In fact, there is a big buzz around the league right now surrounding Taylor. No one is saying EJ sucks. I want him to make the team and wouldn't be shocked if he got to start a game this season. But if and when he is not named the starter, regardless of Saturday's outcome, you have to try and trust the front office on this one. There is no conspiracy against EJ Manuel, I can promise you.
  6. It's "you're." And Sally, a name, would be capitalized. Sorry I don't speak "LOLZ."
  7. I don't know if I agree with the "Rex doesn't know anything about QB's" narrative. HE'S NEVER HAD A GOOD QB TO WORK WITH! So everyone who's coached Brady, Manning, Rodgers and Brees in the last decade is a QB master now? I just don't buy it. I like this website but too many of you put way too much emphasis on every last circumstance surrounding the QB and not enough on the QB himself. Your posts have become stale and predictable. We get it, you hate Cassel.
  8. Dude if there is really a Bills fan on planet Earth who is "grieving" because EJ Manuel got named the starter for a preseason game, then it's time for them to turn in their fan card.
  9. No, a losing organization would stake its starting QB job to one preseason game and not an entire offseason of assessments.
  10. Well I will stake my credibility to this: even if EJ looks unbelievable and the other two QB's play poorly on Saturday, EJ aint starting week 1.
  11. And this is exactly why I'm holding off on telling you who I'm 90% sure the starter is. Because in the small chance I'm wrong, then I get called out by a bunch of bozos every time I post anything. Source is solid, within organization, but third hand. So I wouldn't bet my life on it. But it makes a lot of sense. And I'm not responding to PM's. Already told one guy this morning, he'll vouch for me if I'm right. Now it's becoming a bit overblown.
  12. Honestly, you're probably right. But I think you're a little mislead if you think that this game on Saturday is for all the marbles and it's a "may the best man win" scenario. They have days worth of film that they've watched on all three of these guys. The decision is made based on their whole body of work. Don't you guys watch Hard Knocks?
  13. To be perfectly honest, until I got this this morning, I always kind of dismissed the "messing with Indianapolis" thing myself. I don't think it's so much to make them think it could actually be Manuel so much as not letting them know if it's going to be Cassel or Taylor. The Bills have already been preparing for Indianapolis for weeks. You figure the Colts not knowing if they have to prepare for a guy like Taylor or not could throw a small wrench into their game planning.
  14. Could be. Just telling you what I heard and that's that the decision has already been made.
  15. He was the best back then. It was a huge deal when he left to go to WGR and join Chuck Dickerson, whom he had berated for years. Everyone called him a corporate shill for leaving. That WNSA station was great back in the day. Yeah I think he's good on the air but he's pretty douchey on twitter so I could definitely see that.
  16. Look, I am not ready to stake my credibility on who the starter is, although I'm 90% sure. Just don't want to be wrong and have to deal with a bunch of turkeys calling me out for the rest of my TBD existence. It's a tremendous source but it's also third hand. I will share before Rex does, don't worry. I can tell you with 100% certainty that Manuel is not starting against Indianapolis.
  17. WGR is a good to great sports station considering the size of Buffalo's market and the fact that Buffalo is only a two sport town. I listen to Kevin Sylvester and Andrew Peters most mornings here in Denver. Schopp and the Bulldog are fine. I hate when people complain "just tuned into WGR and they're talking about (insert non-sports topic here)" Do these people not realize that the formula for sports talk radio shifted to including pop culture like a decade ago? All the successful ones do it, chiefly Dan Patrick. The WGR hate on this website is totally uncalled for and I believe comes mostly from people who have only lived in Buffalo and listened only to WGR their whole lives. I can assure you that WGR is a more entertaining radio station than Denver's big flagship sports station.
  18. Don't want to blow my credibility (yeah laugh away those with short memories) so need to find out how solid this info is first. Plus you never know if they change their minds again after this game and then I look like an idiot. But I can tell you that EJ starting on Saturday is a smokescreen.
  19. Just got word this morning- coaches' minds already made up, starting Manuel is a charade mostly to mess with Indianapolis and/or to see if he has any trade value. He has no chance of starting on opening day. Take it to the bank. According to a pretty credible source, I'm pretty sure I know who is starting. Carry on.
  20. Wasn't sure which thread to post this in but I can tell you that starting Manuel is merely a charade, mostly to mess with Indianapolis, and the coaches' minds have already been made up and he is not starting opening day. In fact, according to a pretty credible source, I'm pretty sure I know who is starting. John, have you heard anything of the like?
  21. Ehh I'm not hedging any sort of bet based on odds. I mean, what 2,3,4 QB's get taken in the first round every year and there's only really maybe 15-20 QB's that are in the conversation of franchise QB's? I'm basing my opinion based on what I've seen from him specifically. What don't I get? That most QB's that get drafted don't end up developing into franchise QB's? Yeah I don't get that, that concept is way above my level of understanding. You'll have to dumb it down for me sir. So you are now hedging your bet and saying, "well if he doesn't turn into a franchise QB, no one can get any credit for predicting as much because the odds are with any QB not developing into a franchise QB?"
  22. This thread is comprised of some people saying, "oh preseason doesn't matter?" and other people saying, "oh so practice doesn't matter then?" THEY BOTH MATTER.
  23. I can see how I might come off that way sometimes. That's fair. As far as EJ Manuel goes though, I gave praise to the three posters who actually went on record as saying that he had a better than 50% chance of developing into a franchise QB. Everyone else just keeps calling people like me "haters" but refuses to disagree with me and say that he is more than likely. And by franchise QB, my definition is that he is our clear cut starter week 1 2017. And I acknowledge that there are probably a few Bills fans who are actually anti-EJ at this point (though not nearly as many as some would think). But my God, if this season Cyril Richardson got a chance to start, took a huge step back, sucked and then got benched for the rest of the season and I said, "ya know what guys? My gut is that it's not happening for Cyril Richardson," would I be subject to constant scorn, ridicule and accusations that I'm not really a Bills fan and deep down my main goal is to see Cyril Richardson fail? Think about that for a second.
