  1. I actually give some credence to the ESPN rankings- in fact, they're the only ones I look at each week. I thought for sure the Bills would be #7 or 8 this week. Oh well, I guess I don't really care. But what I did notice looking at the rankings is that there are A LOT of bad football teams in the NFL right now and the Bills are one of only like 11-12 good teams. Teams will emerge and teams will fall as the season goes on but right now it looks pretty bleak for a lot of teams. Who am I supposed to be afraid of outside of Brady, Rodgers, the Cardinals and MAYBE the Broncos (Wade Phillips)?
  2. I can't believe I'm commenting in this thread because I could care less who wins but it just occurred to me that it's kinda messed up that there is a divisional game being played in London. So one of these teams only gets to play two divisional home games?
  3. This is a fair response. I would agree with this.
  4. This board is ridiculous sometimes. Did anyone actually read the article? What could anyone possibly disagree with that was actually written? When Warren Sapp and Randy Moss fell in their respective drafts, were the Bucs and Vikings' beat reporters allowed to point out their character flaws? The article is fine. In fact, I learned something about both players from reading it. Tell me where Rodak says that he doesn't think either will be a good football player. I realize the vast majority of you are hell bent on picking on this Rodak guy but this is not a good example. We're three weeks into each players' career. What if next week one of them gets a DUI? Will you then come on here and praise the article? I myself am neither a holier than thou boy scout, nor have I ever assaulted my pregnant girlfriend, nor witnessed an alleged rape, nor fled the scene of a drunk driving accident.
  5. Ahh another for the greatest hits compilation...
  6. Agreed. Are we forgetting who the new owners are? They won't mess around. He'll be extended by mid-season if this keeps up.
  7. What in the world are you guys arguing about? Tyrod Taylor is awesome.
  8. If anyone only saw Tannehill play against the Bills the last four years, obviously they would think he sucks. If anyone looked at his numbers against teams not called the Bills, they would realize he is a steady emerging young QB. He will never be elite; he will, for the foreseeable future, be good enough to hold down a starting job in the NFL.
  9. I don't think the NBA has a possession arrow. That's college. In the NBA they do a jump ball every time, right?
  10. I am not the least bit worried that our offense will be able to put up 20-24 points. I am worried that our defense looks bad once again, gives up more than that and even though it's early, I'm going to start thinking that maybe the Schwartz system fit this team better after all. I am also worried that Dan Carpenter somehow manages to blow this game for us.
  11. So this is who the lamestream media is picking huh? What a bunch of hacks. How many of these guys even played football themselves? I'm glad we've got "experts" in quotes because these guys are no experts. Signed, the most tired narrative on tbd.
  12. I think if the Bills win on Sunday in somewhat convincing fashion and escape with no major injuries then I would think they are in fact on a track to 11-5. If they lose in somewhat convincing fashion, I won't know what to make of them. This game is so huge.
  13. This is what you're coming with these days, huh? If this is what helps you sleep better at night, sure.
  14. Houston is one of the few major cities in the country I would less rather live than Buffalo if I had no ties to Buffalo. I would take Buffalo weather over Houston weather in a heartbeat (probably a function of having grown up in being used to the cold and hating intense summer heat). That being said, I have been to at least one Bills home game every year since 1985 and he isn't far off as far as the fans go. After having gone to the first two games already this year, I noted that Bills fans look a lot like Walmart shoppers. Lot of riff raff in that stadium, no doubt about it.
  15. We're gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. It has worked for the Whalers and the Islanders among many, many others in all sorts of pro and college sports with all different color combinations. Nah they were navy until '87 (I believe) when they switched facemasks from blue to red (which I know is the year they switched facemasks- so I know that pic is '87 or after).
  16. Actually I have a legitimate one. I am in a confidence pool and in week 1 I picked the Bills and then last week I picked New England. I was planning on picking the Bills this week anyway so hopefully I'll be 3-0 on the season.
  17. Don't worry, I drank a few for you. The first game I could remember pretty much everything. This game, the time between when it was 7-0 and like 37-13 was kind of a blur.
  18. I grabbed my friend sitting next to me and yelled in his ear, "dude we're gonna f***ing murder them."
  19. Haha you beat me to it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Ll8JTclbU
  20. EDIT: Oh OK, I get it. Yes I'm on board. I thought you meant make them both blue and red or blue and gold. The Bills unis are amazing right now so I wouldn't touch them at all. As far as the Sabres, it's like I've always said, if you're gonna go back, go all the way back. The Sabres and the Capitals are two prime examples of teams that sort of teased their 80's jerseys without going all the way back. The Oilers did this for a while too before finally going all the way back. The Capitals wear their old jerseys half the time anyway. Time for the Sabres to follow suit. There are very few teams in all of professional sports whose uniforms are better now than they were in 1985. In my less than humble opinion.
  21. Haha. You count Hou as some sort of cakewalk/automatic win/stat padder but I seem to recall everyone on this board making excuses for our QB because they were so tough to play against.
  22. Look he sucked tonight, no excuses. But calling out his stats in the playoffs is a little ridiculous. He has played in three NFL seasons. He has made the playoffs each season with a s****y defense and absolutely no running game whatsoever. In his first season, he lost his first playoff game. In his second season, he won one playoff game. In his third season, he won two playoff games. His career trajectory is right about where it should be. Let's revisit this one halfway through the season. He'll be fine.
  23. I don't know if I buy this quote from Rex. Joe Buscaglia reported it and he's a hack. Dude didn't even play football himself.
