Bills on Hard Knocks?
metzelaars_lives replied to strive_for_five_guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is like the one thing you and I agree on. My brother doesn't post on here but checks out the site semi-often and always gets a big kick out of the people who insist that they don't want the Bills on Hard Knocks because it would be a distraction. It's a pretty laughable opinion to have. For one, it's not a distraction. And for two, if you are a Bills fan and are at all familiar with Hard Knocks then you should be salivating at the idea of getting that type of access/inside look at the team. It would be amazing. As far as the people who don't like the show, I can't help ya. I have watched every episode ever and very much look forward to it every year. With the exception of the Dolphins season, it always delivers. Is the format redundant? Sure. But it is excellently produced and manages to keep my attention for an hour every time. -
The Bills would of won today. :(

They totally would of. -
When is the last time he's stepped on the field? Honest question.

I don't mind EJ Manuel as a backup qb. I find it amusing that people are certain that other teams' backup qb's would've be better because they've never really played. How in God's name could anyone possibly know that Matt McGloin is a "good" backup qb. That being said, what's way more amusing are the people defending EJ's play in the Jacksonville game. Dude he cost us the game. That's it.

Bills on Hard Knocks?
metzelaars_lives replied to strive_for_five_guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh God if there's one thing that bothers me more than anything it's when people on this website insist they don't want the Bills on Hard Knocks. Yeah JJ Watt's game was really affected by the "distraction." Hard Knocks is like porn for football fans. Seeing the Bills on Hard Knocks would be unbelievable. "I guess I'd watch?" Sure buddy. -
Ha agreed.

No it's common knowledge, nice to meet you. Not true. I stated very clearly that prior to the third preseason game, Cassel was "Roman's guy." Couldn't even tell you what that means exactly but he was. I also shared with plenty of posters that Taylor had won the job prior to the fourth preseason game. It was clear that Taylor won the job but Roman still wanted Cassel as his backup.
-
Of course you do. You were optimistic about a guy who had played poorly and now you are pessimistic about a guy who has played well. Makes perfect sense to me.
-
Roman desperately wanted Matt Cassel as his backup qb. Not mobile.

Incognito had a great year, he deserved another shot somewhere, he seems to have matured a bit, the Bills should re-sign him. He was much more than "insensitive" to Jonathan Martin. While Jonathan Martin appears to have been sensitive himself, that is no way to treat a teammate and cannot possibly be good for a locker room. Which it clearly wasn't. Two concepts that are not mutually exclusive.
-
He runs for his life because he only throws the football to receivers who are wide open, which doesn't happen on most plays. The pass blocking is fine. There were times where he had a comically long time to throw the football yesterday against a stout Jets front seven. This is exactly what I'm talking about. It's almost as if people only watch Bills games and assume that in every other game across the league, quarterbacks get to just stand back there and have all day to throw. That's not how football works. Relative to other lines in the league, the Bills' pass blocking is actually GOOD! Did anyone watch JJ Watt, say, yesterday? Did anyone watch JJ Watt against the Bills?

You can say a lot about EJ......
metzelaars_lives replied to 4merper4mer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The celebration was excessive but I agree with everyone- I have noted all year how positive his attitude seems to be every time they show him. He appears to be the epitome of a team player. Fitz had one of his poorest performances of the year today. He is still a top 32 QB in the league and will be a starter somewhere next year, probably with the Jets. -
I know I sound like a broken record but the biggest fallacy in the history of this website- no hyperbole- is that the Bills offensive line always sucks. In 2012, the Bills were like top 2 in the league in yards per carry and least sacks allowed and to this day you will see people say stuff like, "well if Fred Jackson ever had an offensive line to run behind..." Just a few weeks ago, a prominent poster ranked Robert Woods ahead of Cordy Glenn as far as guys we need to re-sign. Guys, the Bills offensive line as it stands right now in 2015 is ABOVE AVERAGE. It is good. Yes, they need a right tackle. I am not the least bit worried about their ability to address that. Sign a guy for $5 million per, draft a guy in the 3rd round, they'll be fine. Of course, this is all predicated on their ability to re-sign Glenn and Incognito, which I think they will.

I called it before you.

Dude they have new management. As much as everyone wants to lump this Bills incarnation in with the last decade and a half, it really has nothing to do with past teams other than the fact they are still called the Buffalo Bills. For God's sake give the Pegula/Whaley thing a few years. Remember the "cash to the cap" nonsense? Pegula is playing with monopoly money. The answer to your question is very simply "we don't know yet." End of story. What I do know is that I love the owner, the GM has been very good so far, I don't really even know what Brandon does and our coach had a poor first season.

Bills' 2016 Non-Division Opponents Finalized
metzelaars_lives replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They might win 4 division games this year alone. Assuming they win 3, you're asserting that this year's team, with the NFL's 11th ranked offense, goes 1-9 outside of the division to that schedule? Who would they have lost to, Cleveland or San Francisco at home? I mean, come on guys. The level of hyperbole on this website is a little ridiculous sometimes. -
Regier is such an easy target. He was too tentative, he ran his course here and I had no problem with him being let go. That being said, he didn't have free rein to spend the money that Murray does. Furthermore, he made several great trades which really kickstarted the rebuild. I could be wrong but I believe his last trade as GM was getting a first round pick for freaking Paul Gaustad.
