  1. I would be shocked if he could. He'd have to know who like Kent Hull is. No way. Show me a link where he says he roots for the Bills over the Giants and that they are distinctly his favorite NFL team.
  2. Come on, not what number. I would bet my life savings that he couldn't name ten players from the Super Bowl era teams right now.
  3. This is one that certain people can't wrap their head around. No one said that Rex speaking tonight should be illegal. Reminds me a lot of when Hank Williams, Jr. got fired from MNF for comparing Obama to Hitler. No one said that he should be imprisoned for it. But it's ESPN's freedom of speech to fire him for it. Just like no one thinks Rex Ryan should suffer legal consequences for this but I can certainly reserve the right to think less of him for it.
  4. I'm not "outraged" by anything. I just kind of already thought Rex was a bozo and now I think he's more of a bozo than I already thought he was. I'll still be rooting for the Bills come September. But this is just a bozo move any way you cut it. It's predictable and it's embarrassing.
  5. So you really believe he knows who, let's say, Preston Brown is?
  6. Say what? Why, when he was campaigning to buy the Bills, did he say he "LOVES" the Bills? The same way he "LOVES" the people of every state, the under-educated, women, Mexicans, blacks, et al. and they all "LOVE" him too? I highly doubt Trump is a Bills fan. Although I'm sure he'll say he is tonight.
  7. It's a joke that a guy who threw for 19 TD's, 7 INT's and over 2600 yards in only 9 starts and had a winning record last season is still in the league? Great post.
  8. Dude. Brian Hoyer a) is way better than EJ Manuel, b) despite his meltdown in the playoff game, does not suck (look at his numbers last season- he was decent at worst), c) is not signing with Buffalo because d) he is going to sign somewhere where he can compete to start and e) we couldn't afford him anyway. That's it.
  9. Dude look at his numbers last year. You really think EJ Manuel has that season in any universe? I wouldn't want him as my starter but he is a top 30 QB on planet Earth. He will be brought in to compete for a starting job somewhere and probably end up as a starter this season. You heard it here.
  10. Dude he got me on that. It was 2008, I had just joined this website and I still remember getting all bent out of shape at my desk at work, adamantly arguing that we would, in fact, be better off beating Arizona rather than losing to them. Nothing short of genius trolling. Many have tried but no one has been able to pull off what that guy did. I thought for a while that Bills Fan 4 Ever was actually like a parody account, which would've been incredibly genius, but he turned out to really just be that guy.
  11. Wait a second- are you who I think you are?? That's an amazing reference if not... A true legend.
  12. Ahh this is the moment each year where posters start talking about how hard our schedule is based, somehow, on the order of games even though they already knew our opponents. I look forward to it every April.
  13. Look, I am not a Glennon proponent. I just think he is better than EJ Manuel. In fact, of course he is. Look at Glennon's numbers in his second year- he improved over his first year. What a novel concept. He was mysteriously benched in favor of Josh McCown in a move that many questioned. We will have to agree to disagree that the verdict is on Glennon. The last time he played (2014), he wasn't bad at all for a second year starter. EJ Manuel was about as bad as a second year starter could possibly be.
  14. Look at Glennon's numbers from year 1 to year 2. He improved across the board. The jury is still very much out on him. Manuel regressed in year 2 and the verdict arrived last year.
  15. Glennon: 18 starts, 29 TD's, 15 INT's, 83.7 passer rating Manuel: 16 starts, 19 TD's, 15 INT's, 78.5 passer rating Glennon's QBR, for whatever that is worth, has also been much higher each year and he has thrown for far more yards per start. Admittedly, their completion % and YPA are pretty much identical. Still, they are by no stretch even. There does not exist a category that Manuel has been better than Glennon in, while Glennon has been decidedly better in nearly every category. Glennon has been better, plain and simple. By a country mile? No. But the difference is more than negligible.
  16. Uggghh. I have had Crohn's since I was a kid and have been in relative remission since 1998. While it's true that you always have it, you can and should lead a totally normal lifestyle for the majority of your life. You guys are aware that Matt Light played his whole career with Crohn's, right? Same with David Garrard. The hardest part of the illness is when they are figuring out what is wrong with you, which is clearly what he went through last year. I fully expect Henderson to be 100% healthy this year. Oh I didn't realize your wife had it. PM me if you care to discuss. The thing that's tricky about it is that everyone is totally different. What works for some people does not work for others and vice versa.
  17. To those who think that 4-0 in Super Bowls is better than 4-2, you are NECESSARILY saying that the best thing that a QB can do in a given year is win the Super Bowl, the second best thing he can do is not participate in the Super Bowl and the WORST thing he can do is play in but lose a Super Bowl. So for instance, Carson Palmer accomplished more for his legacy this year than Cam Newton- who tarnished his legacy- by losing in the NFC Championship game. And by that token, Jim Kelly is the most unaccomplished QB in NFL history and should have 4 giant marks against him and ranked behind QB's who never even made a Super Bowl. You can't have it both ways. This is what you are saying.
  18. That's a fair argument. But 4 Super Bowl wins/4 Conference Championships being greater than 4 Super Bowl wins/6 Conference Championships simply doesn't hold up. Oh God. For one, let's just do merger-present, OK? How you are able to contrast Otto Graham with Dan Marino is beyond me. Second of all, come on with Jim Kelly. Bradshaw, Aikman, Young, Rodgers, Roethlisberger and Brees are all ahead of Kelly as all-time QB's. I have Brady 1, Montana 2, Manning distant 3... another huge gap... and then Favre/Elway/Marino 4/5/6 and you could put those 3 in just about any order. That is correct. Maybe in his 2-3 year prime but as an all-time QB? Come on. Two different conversations.
  19. Here we go again. Yes. Montana gets a point from you for the two conference championship games he lost, rather than had he won them and then lost in the Super Bowl. Once again, you add the accolades. Super Bowl victories count for a lot. Super Bowl appearances count for something too. They are not a detriment. Can Newton is not a worse all time QB now than he would have been had he lost in the NFC championship game. He gets a point for playing in the Super Bowl. This is really the dumbest argument on TBD and I can't help but the thing you guys do it just because it's Brady.
  20. Brady is obviously the greatest of all time, it's no longer really that close. And please, enough with the "goat" thing, it doesn't work. Just say greatest of all time, it's so easy. Correct. Which is not as good as 4-2. Please let's not do this one again.
  21. Someone just above suggested EJ Manuel? We do still have him? Seriously, threads like this are why I consider this website a vice. Be careful. Perfectly rational posts like this may get you labeled a "fanboy" by Ryan L Billz. Of course he will. I'm not sure what he did wrong but OK. He correctly didn't pay Osweiler what Dan Dierdorf would refer to as "Star Wars" money. He will draft one of the first three QB's in the draft somehow and they will battle it out with Sanchez and with their defense, they will be 9-7. What can he do? What should he have done differently? He just won a Super Bowl like two months ago, guy's a bum. I think there's more luck involved in landing a franchise QB than you realize. I like where your head's at. Don't want to get too greedy and ask for their late 1st. Just to be polite, I would go 3rd and 4th. Manuel should work out fine. And if he doesn't, we can just start from scratch again, that shouldn't be a problem. Great post, you have a bright future on this website.
  22. Thank you. After googling him and reading up on the guy myself, I literally opened this thread for the sole purpose of seeing people mock the relative anonymity of the player by sarcastically proclaiming that this signing would translate to a championship. Again, for the sole purpose of annoying myself. And then I wrote about it.
  23. I feel like the "offensive line is so important/our offensive line always sucks/always draft offensive line" people are the same as the "we should always trade down in the draft" people. Two concepts that are kind of oversimplified and constantly suggested regardless of our current situation or the draft for that matter.
