  1. Here we are one year later and this conversation still exists. The worst are the posters who think they're real clever with the "Yeah EJ Manuel missed all those tackles in the Cincinnati game; yeah EJ missed that block in the Texans game..." takes. No, the Bills had trouble tackling in the Cincinnati game and EJ also sucked. These are not mutually exclusive concepts. Let's say for the sake of argument the Watt play was 0% EJ's fault (which of course it wasn't). He was absolutely wretched the rest of the game anyway. It's over. He's a good NFL backup. I feel totally comfortable going into the season with him as my backup.
  2. People are still doing the 'IN' thing, huh?
  3. Reuben Randle sucks. If he was "more talented" than the receivers we currently have, he'd already be here. And he wouldn't have gotten cut by the Eagles either. He sucks.
  4. Here we go. Personally, my thoughts on him are somewhere in the middle. He's WAY better than the vast majority of people on here give him credit for but his shtick does get kind of old. It's almost like he doesn't even like sports. And he thinks analytics are the end-all-be-all and the answer to every question and tends to try and oversimplify things using them. His problem is that he is smart but he's not quite as smart as he thinks he is.
  5. As much as I respect your relationship with your grandfather, that lifeless, soulless, generic, tacky, whatever they're calling it this year arena is the complete and utter antithesis of the Aud. That new place could last 60 years and I doubt it will ever hold a special place in anyone's heart. The Aud was- forget about it. That being said, Rich Stadium is a pretty special place as well.
  6. I haven't read through this whole thread but I tend to agree with the OP. IF Taylor, McCoy, Watkins and Clay stay healthy all season and Glenn and Incognito are good to go, then this is one of the better offenses in the NFL. Problem is, as we all know, the odds of them remaining relatively injury-free are incredibly low.
  7. Dances With Wolves is an incredible soundtrack/score.
  8. Dude you are like a top five crusader on this entire website.
  9. Jeff Tuel was a third string QB. Who holds the GM accountable for the third string QB being forced into action? Does anyone know who the third string QB is on any team in the NFL? Would you lambast the Packers' GM if Rodgers got hurt and then the great Brett Hundley got hurt and then the guy behind Brett Hundley had to play?
  10. Hate to say it but I agree with you on this one. Not only do I think he should, I think he will.
  11. Whoa. How big a dicks were those dudes at the trailer park? This poor guy.
  12. Schopp isn't as bad as most on here like to think he is. That being said, he has assumed this persona as a smarmy, black-and-white, analytics is always right guy and he tends to oversimplify things. His contention is basically that trading up is always bad and the more bodies you have the better. He's right to some extent but his problem is that, as an example today, he cited the Pats as the team that gets this concept and always abides by it. What he failed to acknowledge is that the Pats traded up in the second round- just like the Bills did with Ragland- to take one Rob Gronkowski. Look, if Whaley really had Ragland as a top 15-20 guy on their board and he fell that far, then I ansolutely stand by the move to trade up and draft Ragland. Period, end of story. Exactly.
  13. For whatever it's worth, Jordy Nelson walked right off the field without a limp after tearing his ACL last year. Not saying it is serious but I'm still a little worried until I hear otherwise.
  14. You appreciate Astro's daily updates, right? I certainly look forward to them every day (thanks Astro!) Let me ask you this though- as you read about Taylor looking sharp every practice, do you still feel worse abut the Bills' QB situation heading into the 2016 season than you have in any season that you can ever remember, including the 1985 season, in which they were coming off 2-14 and had the two-headed monster of Vince Ferragamo and Bruce Mathison at QB? Because you specifically said that a few months ago. I am sincerely curious and not trying to be provocative. I'm just wondering if these updates help ease your concerns at all?
  15. Gugny also thinks that right now, as we sit here in August of 2016, that EJ Manuel is a better QB than Tyrod Taylor. He also thinks that Stevie Johnson is the second best WR in Bills history.
  16. Oh my God, you really believe this.
  17. Goodwin is a lock? He already got hurt again. I think they drafted Listenbee to replace him and he's facing an enormous uphill battle to make the roster. I think if anyone's a lock right now it's Lewis with his size. Not to mention he was drafted by the current regime.
  18. Ok got it. Nonetheless, he's dogged Taylor for the caliber of QB's he "beat" last year repeatedly. As if when Tom Brady beats a lousy QB that's somehow a mark against him? I don't really get it. I mean, they won the game, I'm not really sure what more they could've done. Said poster has also mocked Taylor for "beating" Hoyer while failing to mention that the Texans defense had played better than any defense in the NFL over the last month going into that game. In short, his act is a tired one.
  19. So you pick the worst QB he went up against all year to troll the board. Not to mention, you don't play against quarterbacks, you play against defenses. I'm quite sure the Panthers didn't lose to Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl. Kellen Moore himself could've beaten them that day too.
  20. Good God in heaven, Stephen A. Smith is absolutely unbearable.
  21. There's no way they keep both of the lil' speedsters and not Marcus Easley (if he's healthy). They're gonna keep six wide receivers one way or another.
  22. I have the distinction of being blocked by Thurman Thomas on Twitter. Great running back, not a particularly sharp guy.
