You are such a dork.

Tennessee doesn't have to lose 2 of 3. Either Tennessee OR Houston has to lose 2 of 3. Baltimore has to lose to Pittsburgh AND to either Philadelphia or Cincinnati. Like I said, the Eagles beating the Ravens would completely bolster the Bills' playoff hopes. That happens and all of a sudden the game against Miami next week actually means something. Assuming we win of course. OK.

In what order do these four need to go:
metzelaars_lives replied to jester43's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not sure anyone really knows how much influence Brandon has over football decisions at this point. Either way, I am amused when people have such hard and fast opinions of him one way or another. Whaley can be debated but I think he's made more good moves than bad ones. He's not the one who passed on Gronkowski for Torrell Troup or Russell Wilson for TJ Graham. Since taking over, he's kind of made the no-brainer pick (which they had avoided forever) and made some nice trades and signings. I'm not sure how anyone can't have Rex and Tyrod 1-2 in some order. -

I have no issue with Brandon whatsoever and I think Whaley is a good to very good GM. I wish more of you would realize how much of a crapshoot this whole thing is. Barring Taylor deciding to throw footballs to wide receivers and being good at it these last few weeks, I think we can move in from him. Especially if he refuses a pay cut. Rex? Ehh. Firing him is kind of what the Browns would do but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I am undecided on Rex, the same way I'm sure the Bills are. -
Anyone who didn't vote for Kyle Williams, I mean, I can't even. Anyone who only voted for 1-2 guys is clearly not familiar with the bar one needs to clear to make the Wall of Fame. It's not the Hall of Fame, folks. Me personally, I voted for Moulds, Ruben, Kyle and Fred Jackson. You could make a strong case for Aaron Schobel. In fact, he's probably an all-time greater Bill than Phil Hansen, who's up there. And by the way, the #1 player who should be on the Wall and isn't is Cornelius Bennett. Still a mystery.

Open letter to the Buffalo Bills

What is the Browns' winning percentage if you take out the Otto Graham years? -
I think the moral of the story is that as bleak as the drought has been, somehow the Bills have always gotten good to great production from the running back position. Ironically, there are teams that have been good throughout our drought- the Packers, the Pats, the Giants, the Saints, etc.- who largely haven't gotten good running back play over the same time period.

So many mentions of McCoy, who's really only been awesome for a season. McGahee was even more awesome in 2004. Yes, on a playoff team. Flutie never played after their last playoff appearance.Any list that doesn't include Kyle Williams can be dismissed immediately, crumpled up and thrown in the garbage.

Cardinals Cut WR Michael Floyd
metzelaars_lives replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're really something. So you were anti a guy who threw for 20 tuddy's to 6 picks while running for another 5, finishing top 5 in passer rating and YPA and made the Pro Bowl as an alternate as a first year starter but are pro Michael Floyd? Got it. -
Give. Me. A. Break. I have watched every episode of Hard Knocks from the beginning and Mike Smith is FAR AND AWAY the most unlikeable head coach I've ever seen (Gregg Williams and that douche defensive line coach are 1-2 coaches overall). And not unlikeable in a Tom Coughlin tough love sort of way- unlikeable like he's super lame and a huge dork. He may be good with X's and O's but he is not getting anyone riled up to fight for him on Sundays. Classic example of 'our guys are trash because they're our guys but other teams' trash... hmm...' Like we all think that Rex Ryan is a clown but if you're another team on the other side of the league, two years from now I bet someone's thinking, ya know what? Rex Ryan took a Jets team without a franchise QB to two conference championship games and then led a meandering Bills team to two 8-8 records- not bad at all. Believe me when I tell you that Mike Smith is more of a clown than Rex Ryan. Exactly. We can and will do better than this. It would be the most uninspiring hire you could possibly make this side of Jeff Fisher.

The AFC Playoff Picture
metzelaars_lives replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The would also need no second AFC South to finish better than 8-8 (likely) and the Broncos to lose 2 of 3 (almost certainly). That's really it. If the Jets beat Miami on Saturday, I think everybody's ears will perk up a bit. -
Bills scout blasts the front office

Hysterical. Way funnier than any of those Hitler videos I ever saw. -
*in Donald Trump voice while leaning into microphone* WRONG. The Bills would win the tiebreaker over Denver if they're both 9-7 based on record vs. common opponents. If the Dolphins beat the Jets and lose their final two, the Bills (assuming they win out) would have the same record vs. common opponents as the Dolphins (they'd both be 7-5). Not sure what the next tiebreaker is but the playoff simulator gives the Dolphins the edge over the Bills if they both finish 9-7 so it looks like you are correct that they would have the tiebreaker. But that may be based on other games I picked. Not sure what the situation is there really. If the Ravens lose tonight and the Dolphins lose to the Jets, the Bills are very much alive going into Sunday. The Broncos are not going 2-1. We would then just need the Ravens to go 1-2 and the Dolphins to lose to the Pats, which is not that far-fetched.

Look at it this way. If Tyrod Taylor was drafted third overall in 2015, after Winston and Mariota, and was a 21 year-old like them and they all had the exact seasons they did, Tyrod Taylor wins the rookie of the year hands down. I know he wasn't a rookie and I'm not clamoring that they change the rules and make fifth year players eligible for the award. Just, for whatever it is worth, OK? I stated that he had a good season for a first time starting QB last year- of course he did. To those who saw a regression coming, I did not. You were right, I was wrong.

Well if they in out and the Dolphins lose out and the Broncos lose 2 of 3 (they will) and the Ravens lose 3 of 4 (they could), then they would, in fact, deserve it. Here's something to consider: the Bills have three of their very easiest games the last three weeks. If their schedule was different and they had already played the Browns, the Tannehill-less Dolphins and the hapless Jets but had the Steelers, Raiders and Pats the last three weeks and were sitting at 9-4, would you think of them differently? Who knows is right. If the Ravens lose tonight and the Jets beat the Dolphins on Saturday, the Bills will be very, very much alive. I'm with you and, I'm sure, the spirit of Mark Miller (RIP).
-
Yeah I thought there was a chance last night but I didn't realize the Dolphins HAD to lose to the Jets (I thought they only had to lose 2 of 3). If Baltimore loses tonight and the Dolphins lose to the Jets on Saturday, then there is a realistic chance. But it looks like a Dolphins win would mathematically eliminate us, unless I'm missing something.

If Robert Woods is a "great receiver," what was Steve Largent?

"Zero character, total loser..." I call him low energy Marcell Dareus...

Why exactly? I am a betting man and I have actually bet on the Browns to cover in a teaser three or four times this year, including today, and they've only delivered once. Everyone knows you don't bet on the Browns in any situation (I have learned this lesson over and over and yet I thought they could keep it close with Cincinnati today). It's the same way you never bet against New England. Look I know everyone is down on the Bills but come on dude. You're better than that. The Browns are actually bad for an 0-13 team.

So if Bills win Steelers game?

Actually I take that back- I forgot about Baltimore. They'd have to go 1-3. -

I also thought they'd lose big in this game. I said so multiple times. I know you revel in mocking people after the Bills fail but there's no there there on this one pal. This was purely a "if the Bills beat the Steelers even though no one thinks they will" thread.
