Sully: Bills' bozos leave Lynn to twist on his own
metzelaars_lives replied to Rico's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's right about everything but who cares? Nothing in his article has anything to do with football. Yes it was bad PR but if they get the right coach and the right QB and win more games next year, again, who cares? This is all just gossip. -
Bills are a joke of an organization
metzelaars_lives replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're actually a pretty reasonable poster when you're not talking about Taylor. Look, the conference today was mishandled but it's not indicative of anything bigger. The Bills are an 8-8 type team. They hired a coach, it didn't work, they fired him, they'll find a new one. There's nothing unique about the Bills situation. They don't need to blow anything up. -
See, Gugny starts a thread like this where he is obviously trolling but then expects us to take him seriously in his discourse on other topics, like Tyrod. What is the point of spending so much time on this website if people can't even tell when you're serious or when you're kidding.

Math, Probability, Win %. Bills must embrace them

I love how everyone piles on Mike Schopp cause it's always a fan favorite and seems to be the one thing that everyone on here can agree on. The thing of it is, he's usually right about stuff- namely this very topic. I do understand how his smarmy attitude rubs many the wrong way and he oversimplifies the analytics thing (if that's possible) but again, he's usually right. Case and point, the punt was asinine yet Rex Ryan was partly right- MOST coaches would've punted too. Even though it blatantly decreased their odds of winning that football game. -
How do the Bills get an elite QB?
metzelaars_lives replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh so the verdict is in, Carson Wentz is a premium QB? Whether you trade up or back or take a guy at your own pick has absolutely nothing to do with how good a QB is going to be. And Tyrod Taylor is light years ahead of where Alex Smith was at the same stage in his career. -
Ehh. Who cares about points and touchdowns to turnover ratio. I'd rather have a more traditional guy who throws for more yards even if it means we turn the ball over more, rush for way less yards and score less points. You guys don't get it.

47 total TD's 12 INT's Top 10 scoring offense both seasons Pro Bowl alternate both seasons Leading rusher amongst NFL QB's both seasons Least turnovers in a season in NFL history (2016) Literally played in games with Walt Powell, Justin Hunter and Brandon Tate as his primary targets 15-14 record with garbage defense and joke of a head coach Keep on preaching brotha.

Goodbye Dan Carpenter!

That's not true at all. -
This dude is singlehandedly ruining an otherwise decent website. I will say that I have no idea if he's serious or not, so I supppse I'll give him credit for that.
-
But dude, they were exactly the same last year- 12th overall, top 10 scoring offense and Taylor had one of the better TD : turnover ratios in the league. You may not like how he looks or his passing yardage totals but he has been an effective QB both of his two seasons on the Bills. This is not up for debate.
-
This place has become insane. Look. Forget about Taylor for a second. Dude you need to score more points than your opponent. It's like the only thing that matters- it makes zero difference how you do it. Their offense is REALLY GOOD at scoring points. Like one of the best scoring teams in the league and one of the best Bills scoring teams of ALL TIME. They are about to set the NFL record for fewest turnovers in a 16 game season. How much better do you need your offense to be before you say, hey ya know what, maybe the defense could've been better this year? Why are you so obsessed with Tyrod Taylor? He's a below average yet effective starting NFL QB. He's so far from the biggest problem on this team it's ridiculous.

We should just rename this site majbobby.com at this point. He's like a slightly more articulate Bills fan 4 ever.

Tyrod Taylor - pick up the option

You realize you are a crazy person, right? So all three of those guys give you the sixth highest scoring offense as a rookie? Nice! -

Whaley didn't pick Rex Ryan. The Pegulas did. -

At some point people will learn that there is a distinction between the traditional passer rating and QBR, which is something entirely different altogether. You are alluding to Taylor's passer rating. If his QBR was 89.6 on the season, he'd be like the best quarterback ever. And I agree with your overall premise but a) he only played in 14 games last year and b) he has 6 INT's each of last two years. -
And when you cite facts, you are deemed a member of a cult.
-
Ok got it. See I would argue that in a season when you lose games scoring 25, 25, 25, 31, 24, 24 and 31 points that MAYBE, just maybe, you have a problem on defense but I could be wrong. You seem to know more about this stuff than I do so you're probably my right.
-
Would he be? You're confident we would be even higher than sixth in the league in scoring next season with Matt Moore at the helm? What are you thinking, maybe second? Third? I like it. Wow, sixth in the league in scoring sucks, huh?
-
Bobby and Ryan, I hate to be the one to tell you but Tyrod ain't goin nowhere. He saved his job yesterday. They are going to double down on him and bring in either a top 5 FA WR or else draft a receiver in the first round. You heard it here. No. That's why no one really, truly drafts BPA, it's just something they say. Except for when the Bills took Spiller. Which is exactly why it's dumb.
-
He has led a 12th overall and top ten scoring offense for two straight years. Is it your contention that there are a ton of guys out there who would have had them even higher? Man, if Taylor sucks so bad you must think we have like the best offensive line, running backs and receivers in all of football huh? Dude they are FIFTH IN THE NFL IN SCORING. I mean, we could do this all day.
