  1. I thought you said something to that effect. If you didn't, I apologize. It was definitely one of you guys. And if I want to take you on a date, using your logic, what do you want to do with Tyrod Taylor?
  2. The beautiful irony of this would be that Ryan L Billz has stated arrogantly, and I'm paraphrasing but, "watch how Elway, the genius, manages to find a good new starting QB."
  3. I am truly fascinated by you. You would make an incredibly interesting character study.
  4. Was shocked to see that spread was 8. Would've guessed it would be about 5. Tease Detroit, they'll keep it within two scores.
  5. If you're into betting, tease Detroit, New York and/or Pittsburgh. Stay away from Hou/Oak.
  6. And yet many on here have insisted that Alex Smith has some magic power that Taylor doesn't possess. IT'S CALLED A DEFENSE.
  7. Nope. The divisions are perfect the way they are. The NFL, with all its faults, couldn't have done a better job with the divisions. The playoff system is perfect too. My only fear is that they add a wild card. This is a rare instance where the NFL has and should continue to leave well enough alone. That's the point. They did a perfect job of blending geography and rivalries. It's perfect. And it's not changing so moot point.
  8. So you think that guy yesterday has proven to be definitively better than Geno Smith? I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that. And I never said Smith was better. But I don't think anyone around the league, save for like five posters on this website, sees it as one being much, if any, better than the other.
  9. What did you see yesterday to make you think anyone would want him over Geno Smith?
  10. What? Of course not. He had a great year in 2002 though.
  11. Did you just compare EJ Manuel to a guy who is going to get strong hall of fame consideration?
  12. Ahh but are you willing to admit he's worse than Tyrod Taylor? In other words, do you think given 29 starts, that guy you saw yesterday goes 15-14, producing a 47 : 12 TD-int ratio and is twice named a Pro Bowl alternate?
  13. In what universe is drafting a running back in the fifth round who scored nine TD's as a rookie, while averaging over 5 yards a carry, and then releasing him at exactly the right time, a bad move?
  14. You are so difficult to take seriously.
  15. Ha. Good to have you back.
  16. Anyone who thinks Tyrod Taylor sucks anywhere near as bad as EJ Manuel is either a) really, really dumb or b) they dug in on their stance a while ago and stubbornly won't let it go. It's time to let it go folks.
  17. I was watching the Panthers game (his second of the 14 starts) in New York at a sports bar with friends and I remember putting my hands on my head in jovial disbelief saying out loud, "we finally have our guy! We finally have our guy!" He never looked that good ever again. You talk about one bad game like it was an anomaly. The following week against the Jets he looked worse than Taylor ever has. How about the Bucs game that season? In more than half his games as a pro, he has looked A1 atrocious- again, worse than Taylor has ever looked in 29 starts. All that being said, I liked the pick at the time and don't hold it against Whaley. They had to take a QB that year and there wasn't a better option available. Not to mention he squeezed another pick out of it (Alonso -> McCoy) so the Rams could draft Tavon Austin. And to your point, yes, he seems like a very nice young man and I agree he has had a great attitude about the whole thing.
  18. Are you trying to say he doesn't suck? Furthermore, are you suggesting that he played 13 good games and one bad one?
  19. I couldn't possibly agree anymore with respect to #2.
  20. Would Dick Jauron have been a good guy to get a beer with? He seems like the opposite of a good guy to get a beer with. He seems like a good guy to watch a Civil War documentary with.
