  1. I was just going to say, Walker at 31 is preposterous. He has experience, is massive, is a proven above average RT and in his limited experience at LT, actually played well. Dude loses all credibility right there.
  2. How about the beautiful TD pass from Bruce Mathison to rookie Andre Reed in 1985 in front of about 500 people at Rich with the giant Marlboro man looking on...
  3. I wasn't apologizing for my age, I was apologizing for making K-9 feel old! Incidentally, my first Bills game was opening day 1985 vs. San Diego- Bills lost in the drizzling rain. Either way, there is a lot of love in Bills Nation, I hear ya man!
  4. Fair enough- I thought about that after I posted this. I guess it's all relative, but for me at 30, I consider old school through about 1986, maybe 1987. I gotta consider a Bills team with Jerry Butler old school. Sorry about that man.
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axaBG4t-gJs This is from the old Sports Illustrated "NFL TV Follies" tape with Jonathan Winters. I think it came out around the same time as the football phone (which I also owned). Watch beginning around 2:50- if the touchdown pass from Kelly to Metzelaars (Jim Kelly's first game as a Bill- I was there at the age of 7) doesn't send chills down your spine, then you have no soul. P.S. how sick is it that the Bills used to wear their whites at home?
  6. That's garbage and my opinion is not humble. Stopped collecting cards around 1992. You wanna see a football card? Here is a football card... http://www.vintagecardprices.com/pics/2121/88949.jpg
  7. Dude, it wasn't the '87 Redskins, but it was far from the worst in the league. That's all I'm saying. It certainly, relatively speaking, wasn't as bad as our pass rush for instance.
  8. Their offensive line wasn't THAT bad last year. Run blocking was often times poor, but without looking at the sack numbers, I'm going to say that the pass blocking was still above average. Don't forget, in 2007, their pass blocking was as good as anybody's in the NFL. You want to recall some bad offensive lines, go back to the Flutie/Johnson era. Jamie Nails and Marcus Spriggs starting...
  9. Dude I know you've been around here for a while, but what the hell is with your avatar?
  10. QB- Vinny Testaverde RB- Gary Anderson RB- Reggie Cobb WR- Mark Carrier WR- Bruce Hill TE- Ron Hall
  11. Don't tell me my business, devil woman.
  12. QB- QB Bills RB- Thurman Thomas FB- Jamie Mueller WR- Andre Reed WR- James Lofton TE- Keith McKeller
  13. Don't average and mediocre pretty much mean the same thing?
  14. If you want your three best LB's on the field, you put DiGiorgio at MLB and move Posluszny to his natural position outside. Don't forget the Alvin Bowen factor either. Something tells me one way or another, Ellison won't start Day 1. He has proven that he is not a starter in this league.
  15. Yeah Schouman aint getting cut, he's the most experienced TE we have believe it or not. Not to mention, he's not even that bad, they just never use him. And Pee-Wee Herman will make the team, I agree. Wendling will not get cut, Bobby April gets to keep at least a couple of his boys. Drayton Florence has got Will James from last year written all over him.
  16. Agreed 100%. As I mentioned in an earlier post here, Americans, for whatever reason, have an irrational, bizarre fascination with dogs. This is clearly evident on this thread. Rover? Yeah I love him as much as my first born son. I take him with me when I blow the brains out of deer and elk and beautiful, graceful, soaring birds on the weekends for sport. Come on honey, let's go out for dinner and eat some veal while we're at it. Running over Canadian chicks, smoking blunts while driving with loaded weapons in the trunk? Forget about it.
  17. So would you be cool with Ray Lewis coming in here for a tryout? Why has everyone swept his rap under the rug? Why do Americans have this bizarre fascination with dogs? I get it, puppies are cute, but the dude did two years. And he deserved two years. But I am definitely in the "he's paid his debt to society" camp. That would be really ghea if you actually burned your Bills belongings just because they brought in Michael Vick for a tryout.
  18. OK. Upon reading the article, it is in fact "rediculous." The irony of the article is that although it is from the Tonawanda Free Press or the Depew Daily or whatever it's called, it doesn't help our image as "small-time." Cities where people "sip mojitos" would never be subjected to reading something like that. Not to mention, look at the guy! Thankfully, I think it safe to assume that TO did not read the letter that was adressed to him.
  19. It's "rediculous" that you think ridiculous is spelled with an "e"
  20. No Larry the Cable Guy references on here please and thank you.
  21. Hey dickhead, I ranked the Bills #1. See above.
  22. Obviously you haven't been to a Broncos game since they tore down Mile High. 10,000 no shows at the Bills game last year in a game where all they had to do was win and they won the AFC West. Of the stadiums I've been to, they have one of the weakest, most wine and cheese tailgate scenes I've ever seen. They are average to below average fans at best and any real Broncos fan will tell you the same thing. Sorry for the rant, I live here.
