  1. My point is that on a play-to-play basis, this is what I see: Edwards takes the snap, I watch him, holding the ball, as he drops back to pass. He might get flushed to one side after a few seconds or end up scrambling around a little. But if I notice that the pressure came from the right side, if I was watching the ball the whole time, or perhaps even the receivers downfield, how the f**k am I supposed to know if the guy who made the mistake was the guard or the tackle? Now if I worked for the Bills and my job was to watch a guy on the offensive line every play throughout the game, then maybe I could tell ya. I will tell you one thing though: last year everyone on here was saying that Jason Peters pretty much sucked and then the players (who line up against him) and the coaches (who watch hours of game film to prepare to line up against him) voted him into the Pro Bowl. Thusly, I don't get too caught up in what someone like you says and allow our inept coaching staff to decide who plays well enough to keep their starting job.
  2. I agree 100% I marvel at people who claim that they know who is playing well on the OL and who is not. The only way I could tell you how Bell is doing this year is if I took a quarter and watched him the entire time or DVR'd the game. I could tell you in general, "yeah the QB seemed to have more time today" or "there seemed to be bigger holes in the running game." However, I, like I would would assume most fans, watch the ball once it is snapped. Therefore the only guys I am really fit to evaluate are the QB and the RB's. If some expert came out and said Bell has played anywhere from tremendous to horrendous this year, I would not be in a position to argue with him.
  3. problems are the answer to all?
  4. I really thought when I opened this one up, it was gonna say, "I totally forgot about Fitzpatrick's... enormous head." I can't be the only one.
  5. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4585508 How much does it make you sick that this billion dollar corporation is like, "oh yeah these are the teams we're targeting," without thinking about the fans that have been in some of those cities for decades. Jobs in Southern California? How about what that would do to the economy in Buffalo? Is Schwarzenegger an American first or a Californian first? Football in LA does not work, nobody cares about the NFL down there, but the almighty dollar trumps everything. Go capitalism!
  6. Barry 'Bannanas' Foster?
  7. Andre Reed was drafted in the 3rd or 4th round.
  8. If everybody on here is gushing about our defensive line and our secondary and we're last in the NFL against the run, then how bad must our LB's be?
  9. I was just gonna say Ferragamo vs. Mathison- although don't forget, Ferragamo was actually a Super Bowl starting QB for the Rams. Don't get me wrong, he sucked by '85. Agreed though, the youngsters on here cannot comprehend how bad the Bills were in '84 and '85. In 1985, Mathison had 4 TD's and 14 INT's, while Ferragamo had 5 TD's and 17 INT's.
  10. Dave Hollins Mikey Whipwreck was announced from Buffalo, but I don't think he was. Marc Mero was.
  11. Dude, he is not shielded from the ire of fans, he is bashed all day, everyday and everyone knows it. I just think this is a little excessive. I actually agree that although he might be the worst coach I've ever seen, I really don't see the point in firing him mid-season and replacing him with Fewell or April or someone like that (two guys that might get fired themselves this offseason when we clean house). Everyone knows he's gone after this season, everyone knows Ralph HAS to hire one of the big five coaches sitting out there to sell tickets next year, so let's just take the rest of the season for what it is, see if some of this young talent can develop, share some laughs with your friends, have a good tailgate, but hope for 1-15. But people need to relax a little.
  12. Agreed on the $5 point, I wasn't thinking about that and didn't realize that it cost so little. But if someone put up a "white power" billboard on the 190 and I said, "hey man, I'm not sure how that makes Buffalo look- it's kind of inappropriate," would you come right back and say, "hey man, that's freedom of speech, this is the US of A, brother." Notice I didn't question whether or not the sign was in fact constitutional, I questioned whether it was in good taste or not.
  13. a) Dick Jauron is getting fired at the end of the season anyway and everybody on God's green earth knows it. b) Although a horrendous NFL head coach, Dick Jauron is still a human being with feelings, not to mention, a family. This is a d*ck thing to do. c) What kind of loser has $ to donate to this cause when they could've donated $ to a cancer research foundation or something of the like. d) This is exactly the type of thing that gives Buffalo a reputation as a loser town.
  14. I still want a younger guy who runs up and down the sidelines and gets pissed, yells, and grabs his players facemasks when they screw up and does big fist pumps when something good happens.
  15. Unfortunately with McKelvin out we are thin in the return game so I don't see Parrish being a healthy scratch next week. Of course there's no possible way that they wouldn't dress Justin Jenkins, that would be ridiculous...
  16. Just wanted to say that I was wrong and 95% of you were right. I had predicted that the Bills would be decent (7-9, 8-8ish), while a lot of you were saying 3-13. After the Patriots and Bucs games, I sent out some "I told you so" posts. I think it's safe to say that everyone is now rooting for the Bills to go 1-15 and draft a QB from the Big 12 and end this nonsense. To take it a step further, I would take the same exact roster we have right now with Jon Gruden at coach (plus maybe a LB who is made of something other than glass) over a totally revamped and promising roster with Jauron. The day they fire him, I will become interested again, but until then, signing off for 2009, it's hockey season...
  17. I have the one from 1990 including such hits as, "Phony Phoenix," "Hey Oilers, Goodbye," "The Mighty Bills," etc.
  18. "Can you believe it, they stole all my Jordans, I'm stuck wearing these old Chuck T's..."
  19. I am not a rash Bills fan by any stretch, but I think I may have just joined the Trade Parrish bandwagon today. The Bills simply have way too much young talent that doesn't even see the field. How does a guy have a promising rookie season at WR and then not even dress in his second year?
  20. Born in '79, first game was opening day 1985 against the Chargers in the drizzling rain w/ Vince Ferragamo at the helm. Season tickets from '87-'94, the rest is history. Now I live out of town and I get to one home game a year over Christmas, but I also get to at least one road game a year, which I find to be a better rush. I am obsessed with the Buffalo Bills. Obviously.
  21. What, pray tell, were you suspended for or do we not want to know?
