Stand in line with me, to punch NBC in the face!
metzelaars_lives replied to Lv-Bills's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You would think. I agree though, I'm just saying- be frustrated that people in America don't care about hockey. If the Super Bowl was an olympic sport or the NBA All-Star game for that matter, then they would've aired it over ice dancing. Rest assured the medal rounds will be on NBC. -

And by the way guys, do you really think NBC didn't do some market research before they went with ice dancing or whatever it was over hockey? News flash: Americans don't give a damn about hockey. I know that's hard for people in Buffalo to grasp because hockey is so big there. It's a niche sport and every hockey fan who wanted to watch the game knew where to find it. Conversely, the average, "fringe" Olympic fan flipping around on a Sunday night- let's say a Grandma in Nebraska- does not have the patience for hockey and LOVES watching figure skating or whatever. You act as if NBC is clueless in the matter, rather they know exactly what they're doing. Their objective is to make money, not put on what they might think is cool. If you want to punch someone in the face, drive out to Wyoming County and punch an average American in the face bacause they don't care about hockey! -

Bills Starting OL in 2010

Why does everybody assume Incognito will be back? Is he an RFA? -

These lists piss me off to no end. What the hell is the point of them? How does this help a city like Cleveland or Detroit or Buffalo? How about a kid from Buffalo who just graduated from UB who's deciding whether to stay in Buffalo or not and then he sees something like this? Great. Move to Charlotte like everybody else. Ya know, one day places that are "desirable to live" are going to become overpopulated, too expensive, etc. and people will move back to places like Buffalo. Just wait. What kind of American would compile a list like this? Aren't we all on the same team? Does anyone not know that Flint, Michigan sucks? Hasn't everybody seen Roger & Me?!?

Another bozo.

Wasn't Levitre a tackle in college anyway? LT-Wood-Hangartner-Incognito-Levitre That's assuming Wood comes back, which he WON'T. Man we're screwed.
-
I was obviously being sarcastic. Dr. Trooth is a bozo. Butler was always good. Remember in '08 when he missed a bunch of games and they couldn't run the ball and then as soon as he came back vs. Cleveland, they ran the ball all over the place. The only question was whether or not he could stay healthy. This is a HUGE loss.

I know! Wasn't he unbelievably bad in that 1 and a half game he played at RT in his entire career!?!

pre-game music mix from Super Bowl years.
metzelaars_lives replied to LandofwayJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know at one point the players came out to the same music the Chicago Bulls came out to at the time. At Defensive End, from Virginia Tech, no. 78... Oh my God I used to love going to that stadium. -
Guess the Bills 2010 home schedule
metzelaars_lives replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know it always ends up being the opposite of the way it looks before the season, but man our schedule looks easy. -
Come on man, Flutie played for us in the 90's. Sadly, after Bledsoe's 2002 season, Losman in 2006 was the second best season by a QB for the Bills this decade.

Don't insult our intelligence. Love the Whaley and Edwards hires. So much is going to happen between now and September. Are they gonna get marginal free agents who are no better than the guys we already have and sell us on change or are they going to get real bonafide NFL starters and maybe even a few studs and sell us on actual legitimate hope. Can't wait for the draft!

The death of a once proud franchise:
metzelaars_lives replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Go play a game of Tecmo Super Bowl. The two worst teams- by far- are the Patriots and the Colts. This is based on the 1990 season (the Seahwaks suck pretty bad too). Things go in cycles. The Colts had sucked for awhile at that point and would continue to suck for the first half of the 90's. The Patriots also sucked for a long time. Having had season tickets from '87 to '95, I can tell you that I used to complain every year when they played the Patriots and the Colts because it was always 42-6 and it was never a good football game. The Bills made the playoffs 10 out of 12 seasons between 1988 and 1999. Hell, they've made the playoffs 10 out of the last 22 seasons- that's pretty good if you really think about it. Dude, I'm only one year older than you, but try and have some perspective please. I'm sure if there were early 90's Patriots chat rooms, people would've been saying things much like this. -
Maybin may as well retire, he's already proven to be usless in this league. McKelvin in his- what, half a season as a rookie starter? didn't prove to be a big-time playmaker and bascially the best kick returner in the league. Lynch didn't start his career with two straight 1,000 yard seasons behind what everyone on here describes as the worst offensive line in history. McGahee in 2004 was ridiculous, just had an attitude problem. Mike Williams- behemoth tackle from Texas, consensus top 5 pick. Let's cut them a little slack. As much as I hate to say it because I love the man, but the most egregious picks were all made under Levy's watch (Whitner, McCargo and Losman).

How Wendling, Fine and Palmer got cut and Jon Corto still has a job is beyond me. If the message was to get rid of guys who function only as ST'ers, then why not at least keep your BEST special teamer over a 210 lb. linebacker who could never possibly sniff the actual playing field!

Bills #30 in 2010-2011 Rankings-Ouch
metzelaars_lives replied to gobills28's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like your attitude. I am the biggest Bills optimist I know and I love the new DC, I love Gailey's attitude, I'm intrigued by the switch to the 3-4 and I've never been this excited for the draft. Not sure how the Lions snuck ahead of us since December. So much will happen between now and September, this isn't even worth looking at. The consensus before this past season was that the Jets were gonna absolutely suck. Go Bills! By the way, they're so good I could eat... 97 of 'em. -
Do we know he's gay for certain?
