  1. Thank you sir for helping me start my day with a good laugh.
  2. Peppers is a bear? I could've sworn he was a twink.
  3. 18 and 12 in 11 starts two years ago with KC. Oh yeah and he can scramble- 386 yds and 3 TD's in those same 11 starts. Bash your heads into the wall and smack your foreheads and keep telling everyone we should draft a LT at 9. Guess what- if they don't take Clausen, Tyler Thigpen is the best possible QB for us in September.
  4. Man people are stupid. Bashing heads into walls? The guy played one season for a horrible Kansas City team and he was good!
  5. Obviously you need at least 4 guys who play the position of safety on your roster. You do not need 4 guys who are fully capable of starting on your roster when you are seriously depleted at other positions.
  6. I don't want to gossip about whether I like him or not or whether he's good or sucks, but from a logistical standpoint- with the Bills re-signing Scott and (I'm sure) Wilson, that makes four at least starting caliber safeties on our roster. I gotta imagine they're looking to trade Whitner at this point. I'd be thrilled if they could get a starter at another position or a second rounder for him. Thoughts?
  7. I have always thought this. Especially with offensive linemen. 95% of people on here or everywhere for that matter base their opinions on offensive linemen on what other people say. Geoff Hangartner? Is he good? I have no idea, because I watch the ball once it's snapped. But going on here, some people say he's a real good solid starter and some people say he absolutely sucks. To be honest with you, I have absolutely no idea how good he is and I would bet my life that neither do 95% of the people on here, yet everybody has such a strong opinion.
  8. Let's call a spade a spade- white receivers are always fan favorites. Just like black hockey players. Largent was my favorite player ever as a kid. Now a white running back, that's a whole nother level. Since 1980 how many can we name? No fullbacks- John Riggins (not really), Merrill Hoge, Craig James, Tim Tindale, Justin Fargas, ? That would be a good sporcle...
  9. No way would it require next year's first, you're crazy. In addition to our first and second this year, maybe a 4th or maybe next year's 2nd.
  10. As ridiculous as this apparently sounds to many of you, forget Bell for a second- but let's say a) they draft Bulaga and he's decent, b) Wood is ready to go and c) they re-sign Incognito, so you got Bulaga, Levitre, Wood, Hangartner and Incognito (the white knights) as your OL w/ Bell, Meredith and Simmons or a FA as backups. Does that completely suck? Who amongst those starters sucks? This is all I was trying to say in the original post. Relative to our QB and WR situations, it might not end up being all that bad.
  11. I'd say most likely to get drafted by the Bills are: 1. Bulaga 2. Davis 3. McClain 4. Clausen 5. Bryant I'm all about either 4 or 5 assuming Okung is gone, which he obviously will be.
  12. Careful buddy, cause this is a touchy subject. With respect to stats, you have to go relative to era. If you put Jeff Bagwell's stats in the 1910's, he would've been one of the greatest hitters ever. I realize it's not that drastic of a difference, but nonetheless... Let me put an end to this: 1. Go to youtube 2. Search something to the effect of "Bills Oilers comeback" 3. Watch Andre Reed catch 3 sick TD's all in the second half 4. Watch Andre Reed do the two-handed reverse spike after the third one to take the lead and feel the tingles go throughout your body 5. Come back on TBD and tell me Eric Moulds was a greater all-time WR than Andre Reed Peace.
  13. Wow, reading this post makes me realize what a hidden gem Denver is. Everyone who lives here agrees that it is literally the best climate in the entire country. It rarely snows and when it does, it's 50 the next day and the intense sunshine melts it within a day or two. It is sunny every day and in the summer there is absolutely zero humidity and as a result, no bugs. 90 is very comfortable here. And even when it's hot in the summer, it's always at least a little cool at night because again, there's no humidity. I can't believe some of the stuff I've read on here. Dude I love Buffalo as much as the next guy, but you can go two weeks without seeing the sun! In 7 1/2 years here, I've never gone two days straight without seeing the sun.
  14. They did that with Wood, Levitre and Byrd last year and it seemed to work for all three of them.
  15. I don't know if anyone else has responded to you b/c I've only read the posts until this point, but what!?! We need talent at the SKILL POSITIONS ON OFFENSE folks. This trenches philosophy that everyone has- I get it, but I'll leave you with this: those last two Bills teams to make the playoffs had Flutie, Moulds and every bit as bad an offensive line as we had last year! You know- Jamie Nails, Marcus Spriggs, etc. We need a franchise quarterback once and for all.
  16. This kid has got Randy Moss written all over him. He's gonna fall to 18th or something because he took a free cell phone and someone's gonna walk away with the steal of the draft. I'll take your NCAA rules violations and raise you an invite to watch some of his highlights on youtube. He's built like TO in his prime with more speed.
  17. Dude he's a kid. Bruce Smith fell asleep at the wheel drunk in the middle of an intersection after he was already retired. Dominik Hasek got a DUI by my house going 70 in a 35 when he was winning Hart Trophies. Ooooh I'm scared about an NCAA rules violation...
  18. Hey Junior, for what it's worth (or for your generation, FWIW), I'm 31. I'd imagine you're pretty young considering your choice of words. Let's not bring the developmentally disabled into this. And if you want to fight, you know where to find me. With respect to football, your mentality is exactly the reason that Howard Simon blew up at that caller on GR in that fantastic youtube clip that was on here a few weeks ago (you can still find it). My original point was that IF we draft a big time LT and IF Wood is healthy and IF we re-sign Incognito, we have a good line. Those are three very realistic possibilities. It's within reach at least. Finding a franchise quarterback, which is the most important thing to do in all of football however, is still a wild wet dream that no one seems to want to address. I would be very happy with Clausen or Dez Bryant at #9 and a free agency or Round 2 left tackle acquisition.
  19. A stud LT, Wood, Incognito, Levitre and Hangartner is one of the worst OL's in the league? I can't win. Good luck with Trent Edwards throwing to James Hardy next season, no need to address that situation.
  20. Hey bozo, the Bills allowed fewer sacks and averaged more yards per carry than both the Packers and Steelers last year as per nfl.com. And those are two teams with QB's who got big runs and know how to avoid sacks; if you looked at just RB yards per carry, there would be even more of a disparity. Maybe they could use some of our guys.
  21. Are you serious w/ your acronyms? ROFLOL? Are you a middle school girl texting your friend in class? Assuming Wood and Incognito return, that's FOUR NFL caliber starting offensive lienmen on our roster. Period. While you were rollling on the floor laughing out loud at the prospect of drafting a QB who, after spraining his toe last season, threw 28 TD's and 4 INT's on a mediocre team, did you happen to recall that the Steelers won a Super Bowl two years ago with a sub-par offensive line? YOU NEED A FRANCHISE QUARTERBACK DUMMY!
  22. You are seriously delusional (spelling, buddy) if you think that Johnson and Hardy are going to be your # 2 and 3 WR's. My point is that a) relatively speaking, after getting a great tackle, our OL will be in pretty good shape and b) with four other good starters on the OL and a little bit of depth, I'm OK with rolling the dice w/ either Bell or Meredith at RT. We're not going to have the 80's Redskins offensive line this year, but it won't be all that bad.
