Simmons' article on Vick
metzelaars_lives replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course you're not going to read the article! The production of veal entails torturing animals Einstein. I'd rather be forced to fight someone to the death than be kept in a cage for years on end without being able to move. Eat up buddy boy. -
Simmons' article on Vick
metzelaars_lives replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If that's true then I stand corrected. However, I still agree with Simmons. The guy obviously wasn't raised in Williamsville, NY by two loving parents who were high school sweethearts like me. He clearly didn't have the values of right and wrong instilled in him as a kid. By the way, you guys may want to look up how veal is produced, it's actually quite insane. -
Simmons' article on Vick

No he didn't. He hung them and he electrocuted them. He didn't give them the Chinese water torture. He didn't turn them into dog centipedes. -
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmonsnfl2010/101001 Couldn't have said it any better. That's why I'm not a sportswriter for ESPN I guess. Hopefully some of the nuts out there can read this and look at the whole situation a little differently. My guess is that you will still picture a cute puppy and despise the man, but still eat veal without blinking an eye. Peace.

Tonight is must see TV for Bills Nation
metzelaars_lives replied to Teddy_Daniels's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I liked Shutter Island. I actually liked it a lot. I disliked Inception, incidentally. But is Teddy Daniels really a captivating enough character to go with as your screen name and avatar? Now Quint from Jaws, he used to be on here, that's a good one. Maybe Bob Wiley, that would be a good one. How about Buttermaker from Bad News Bears? Jeff Wright is available, as is Jamie Mueller. But Teddy Daniels? Not sure about that one. -

I actually enjoyed your post. To your picture there: I want my damn country back. I'm FED UP! All these career politicians- get 'em outta there! Clean house! I'm ANGRY! -
I thing Wang is big enough that he could open up some gaping holes for our running backs to enter.

They'd be better off with Brohm followed by someone who doesn't know the playbook? Why would we want someone to start for us who doesn't know the playbook? -
One of the better posts I've ever seen. You had me laughing. I can remember both of his TD's in '08, one was vs. the Broncos here in Denver, I was at the game. Good thing Jauron didn't play him last year after a promising rookie campaign, that was a good idea. I was all about the celebration and immediately texted my brother, declaring him my favorite Bill. Love to see him put up 800-900 yards this year and 5 TD's.

The receivers were open all day yesterday. They must've magically gotten faster once Edwards was benched. Granted New England's secondary kinda sucks, but still- we put up real-looking NFL #'s yesterday. Very refreshing.

How long before Buddy gets fired?
metzelaars_lives replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know, right? Spiller is a waste of a pick, Troup has amounted to nothing in his NFL career, Carrington hasn't even dressed 3 games in, Easley got hurt (what was Nix thinking on that one !?!). I mean, get rid of this guy TODAY. I've been watching football for a long time and I can tell you that you can always tell how good a player's career is going to be after 3 games. -
Coleman where is he? Is it just me?

He hasn't even dressed yet. That may explain why you haven't seen him. -

Three Pro Bowls, an MVP runner up and 900 & 1,000 yard rushing seasons is sub par? As Slater says to Mitch Kramer, "OK..." -

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I couldn't have said it any better myself. Great contribution, thanks! -

Good response, I appreciate it. How do you feel about Braylon Edwards, getting a DUI and then after scoring his first touchdown just a few days later, doing a ridiculous dance? Difference between Vick and Edwards: Vick was humbled by his mistake, Edwards clearly was not. Although, of course I'd acknowledge that Vick's mistake was a bigger one. -

Fair response. I just want one person to say, damn I was wrong, he's playing great football right now. And to the guy who said he never played like this in Atlanta, he is wrong. As I stated, he finished second in MVP voting one year, he won a playoff game in Lambeau, I think he even took them to the NFC Championship game one year? The guy WAS this good and it amazes me how soon people forget. It's hard to take your condescending response seriously when as a grown man (or woman), you still have not been able to ascertain when to use "your" vs. "you're." -

You should be a politician. Well done. Except for the fact that he also SHREDDED the Packers, whose defense actually is vaunted. Convenient of you to leave that one out. Well done sir. Also, you can only play against the teams on your schedule and he couldn't have played any better against Detroit or Jax. Who's your MVP so far? The more I read your response, the more I don't like it/you. Did I in any way insinuate that Michael Vick was the best quarterback to ever play the game? That would be a preposterous statement. Why can't anyone discuss this subject rationally? -
You take the points on the road bozo. No to mention, God knows Marshawn runs right up the middle and gets stuffed for no gain if they go for it.

In a drunken (Jonathan) Stupar last night did I come on here and see a well thought-out thread a guy started about how Michael Vick was playing well despite the fact that the VAST majority of people on here said he was washed up and literally said that they would rather have Trent Edwards as their starter- and then within about 2-3 posts it imeediately turned into a debate about the ethics of employing someone who tortured dogs? People, once, now and forever, if we talk about Michael Vick, who is in my opinion the MVP OF THE NFL thus far, can we please talk about his performance on the football field and if you want to start a dog lover's thread, then start a dog lover's thread! The guy was runner-up MVP when he played for the Falcons and he's playing right back to that level again and quite honestly, it doesn't shock me. What shocked me was the people on here who said he was washed up this previous offseason and even more so, the people who tried to insist that he was never an effective NFL quarterback in the first place. PS. Isn't it funny how when you have a competent NFL quarterback in the game, it makes your offensive line and receivers appear like they're actually better football players as well? After Green Bay, my friends and I were like, man our offensive line sucks, our receivers suck... With the exception of Cornell Green, both units appeared more than adequate yesterday. PPS. You gotta like Jonathan 'drunken' Stupar as a nickname, right?

100%! I couldn't believe my eyes when I get in here and read that some of you are cool w/ Fireman Ed? The dude is such a loser. I have friends that are Jets fans and they even say that real Jets fans know he's wicked cheesy. His loserdom is eclipsed only by that fat tub of lard that lets him sit on his shoulders. Come on guys, are you serious? We're Bills fans here! I loathe Fireman Ed.
