  1. Thank you. This is exactly what I'm saying.
  2. Listen, I think the Bills suck every bit as much as you, BUT I will say that Maybin would only be a senior this year if he stayed in college. Could he be worse than the Leon Joes we currently have playing? Maybe so and maybe not. It couldn't possibly hurt to find out.
  3. That's it, I don't have much else to say. I feel like the logic behind this is self-explanatory. The scrap heap crew of castaway linebackers we have isn't getting us anywhere (obviously). Just throw the guy out there and whatever happens, happens. I already don't care if they win or not, wouldn't it be nice to see Maybin get a few sacks and maybe get you psyched about penciling him in as a starter next year? I don't know.
  4. We have so few positions filled on this team- one of them is long term backup QB, of which Fitzpatrick is one of the top 2 or 3 in the NFL.
  5. Is Heath Shuler available? How about Todd Blackledge? Chuck Long? David Klingler?
  6. I'll tell ya, I'll tell ya, I went out on a date with a girl, thought the date went real well, end of the night I asked for a kiss on the cheek she bent over, I'll tell ya...
  7. Well at least we can rule out Corey McIntyre.
  8. f'n sick. Love the Ravens, Colts and Niners this week...
  9. Bills rap: Whatch'you know about the old school Bills- Kelly, Bruce, Thurman, crazy skills. Bruce Smith up in yo face with another sack, you can't run the ball, your whole game plan's whack. J.P. to Lee Evans, Willis on the run, it's a brand new version of the K-Gun. Obviously this was written in '06.
  10. I have Fred Jackson and Rian Torain vying for my #2 spot. Any thoughts on that? Jackson not even a question over Spiller.
  11. Relative to other positions, kind of, yes. Again, with a few exceptions. Obviously Adrian Peterson is a different kind of back. The hope is that Spiller will be as well. Thank you. Glad some people understand this.
  12. Another thing I forgot to mention in the original post is that this guy's whole point was that drafting a RB high is stupid unless you believe he is a REAL special talent- like they did w/ Spiller and I'm OK with that as long as they freakin use him now. He mentioned all the undrafted free agents that are starters- Arian Foster, Ryan Grant, etc.
  13. Yes, good point. When you are pissed off because they couldn't trade Lynch for Andre Johnson or something, remember that Lynch LOST HIS JOB to Fred Jackson last year, a time when they were still trying to win and they weren't showcasing either for a trade. That had to factor in to his market value.
  14. The guy from profootballgeeks.com or something? Anyway, they crunch NFL data like mad scientists and the guy basically said what I've been saying all along- that aside from a a very few special talents (Peterson, Chris Johnson, Tomlinson, Gale Sayers, OJ, maybe Spiller?) that the difference in production and talent in RB's is remarkably negligible especially relative to other positions on the field. Translation: plug in a competent back who can stay injury free in a healthy offense and they're gonna put up numbers. Marshawn Lynch is not a special back. He is a very good back who runs hard and I have no doubt that if he were the feature back somewhere, he'd put up numbers. But this guy also said that Fred Jackson has been the more productive back (based on whatever number-crunching this guy does) of the two throughout their respective careers. Guys- namely that bozo that currently has the post up about how this is the second worst move in the history of the franchise- IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT ROUND HE WAS DRAFTED IN! That was 2007, this is now, this is what Gailey and Nix were handed. Keeping him on the team because he was a first rounder is called cutting off your nose to spite your face (an old metaphor from my youth). This is what market value brought him, the three-headed monster wasn't working, they did the right thing. Honestly it's almost to the point that if you don't agree with this, I really question your football IQ.
  15. Nice one. I was ready to post a nasty response, you got me there.
  16. Marshawn Lynch is/was a very good RB. It's all about the situation he fell into, the emergence of Jackson, the off-field stuff, etc. If you put him into a successful offense and give him 20 carries a game, he puts up big #'s and is considered a good pick. Not ready to pin that one on Marv.
  17. Don't you guys get it? If we drafted Harris, he wouldn't be good. If the Jets drafted Posluszny, he would be a monster. If the Jets drafted Lynch, he would be a stud. If we drafted Revis, he would be just as good because that's the most individually defined position on the field. However, he would leave after his rookie contract was up, probably to the Jets.
  18. My brothers went to the game yesterday and both said that they were more embarrassed with Bills fans the Bills. It's all a bunch of drunk 21 year-olds who never dreamed of going to college, live with their parents, have chin-strap beards, crank R&B from their SUV's, funnel beers, vomit, chant stuff at opposing fans with the f-word non-stop, couldn't name one player from the 90's outside of Kelly, Bruce and Thurman and most importantly, could never afford an NFL ticket in any city outside of Buffalo. The Bills do not have the best fans in the league, they have some of the worst. Their expatriate traveling fans are some of the best and they do consume the most alcohol per capita, but going to Green Bay 2 weeks ago put a lot of things in perspective for me. Talk about a class act. Chiefs fans too.
  19. You're right. The Lions are awesome and a model NFL franchise. The Bills however, are clueless. I'm sure their fans would agree.
  20. He is incredibly creative. Like his schtick or not, you couldn't possibly argue that he's not creative. No one is doing what he's doing. I find the guy hilarious.
  21. What about the '01 team?
  22. STOP!!! The cornerbacks are not the problem, at least not the biggest problem. When a quarterback drops back to pass and can literally stand still for several seconds on end and survey the entire field, he's gonna pass on any secondary. Our lack of a pass rush is startling. We have exactly one sack since week one and I could probably count on one hand how many times they've put any pressure on the QB whatsoever. You don't think Braylon Edwards could get a step on Jabari Greer too in literally 6-7 seconds when he knows where he's going and the CB doesn't? Come on man.
  23. But of course in the United States we have some bizarre fascination with dogs. Yes, Rover is adorable when we wags his tail and then sh*ts on my lawn, but since when do we put dogs closer to humans on the spectrum of life than cows, chickens, turkeys, pigs, etc.? John Madden loves to yuk it up on Thanksgiving when he shows the turkeys, confined in cages, about to be decapitated so that we can eat them, replicating the harmonious love affair between British settlers and Native Americans so many years ago. But Mike Vick tortured dogs, WHICH I DO NOT CONDONE, and people literally treat him as if he did these things to humans.
