  1. I've never heard of anything like this- these comments are extraordinary. How can he go to practice and try and tell these guys what to do with these quotes floating around out there. I bet you he'll resign before they have a chance to fire him. This is not like Tom Coughlin's players saying his practices are too hard, this is personal. "as much as I HATE Childress...?" Crazy!
  2. What a good interview, what a class act, oh my God I want Andrew Luck. I wouldn't be shocked if he stayed one more year though.
  3. Yeah, him and Wood (for calling out Maybin and coming back from that injury like a complete monster) would be my second favorites. But to see an offensive skill player put up real elite NFL numbers is very refreshing. I think if you throw in Fitzpatrick we have just cited the five coolest Bills of 2010 for sure.
  4. Stevie Johnson. Love the guy. Loved him in '08. Mistakenly assumed the coaches knew more than we did last year when he didn't dress all year, but turns out we the fans were right all along! Who else is with me?
  5. Dude you're not gonna have elite players at every position on the field. The guy is a legitimate starting ILB in this league, that works for me right now. Maybe you draft an elite guy to play next to him.
  6. Either way, that one play should be a pretty good indication as to how his career is gonna unfold.
  7. He got beat by Brian Urlacher on a play in his first NFL game (or at least his first w/ significant playing time)? What a bum.
  8. No, that would be if the ownership group had no money. This is a way to generate extra money. So say for instance they have $ 700 million but the franchise would be valued at $850 or maybe it even takes $900 to outbid someone, they have an extra $200 million accessible to them. Still a lot of people, but unless I'm missing something, this is a great idea.
  9. Kinda surprised no one's started a thread on this yet. For a real football historian like myself, I was way into it. Maybe someone did start a thread already, but guess what I didn't do a search and I don't really give a f***. At any rate, here are my biggest gripes. 4. No way Randy Moss is as high as 65 and TO, Cris Carter and Marvin Harrison don't even make the list at all. Those 4 are VERY comparable. If Moss was 95 and he was the only one they picked I'd be OK with it. 3. Thurman's gotta be on there somewhere. 4 straight AFC Championships and only one player makes the list? Going into it, I would've thought he'd be somewhere in the 70's or so. Reggie White wasn't THAT much better than Bruce and OJ should've been higher as well. Bills were disrespected somewhat. 2. Really liked where they had the top QB's- Favre, Brady, Elway and Marino- in that order, but all close together. Steve Young should've been higher though and Johnny U should've been ahead of Montana. Really like how high they had Manning though and agree he's THAT good. Imagine if he wins a couple more Super Bowls and stays injury-free. He could supplant Rice one day. Incidentally, no question Jerry Rice is #1. Anyone who thinks Kelly deserved to be on that list is nuts. Top 200, yes. 1. HOW IN THE NAME OF GOD IS STEVE LARGENT NOT ON THE LIST!?!?!?! This is how crazy that is: When I saw he wasn't 100-11, I assumed he would be in the top 10! Going in, I would've said somewhere in the 20's. To be honest, the fact that Michael Irvin is on the list and Largent isn't, kind of de-legitimizes the whole thing. It's almost as if they made a mistake. Rice, Largent and Don Hutson are the 3 greatest receivers of all-time. Period end of story. Oh yeah, and Metzelaars should've been on the list too.
  10. Just get bombed and everything else will fall into place.
  11. One of the dumbest, unfunniest lines of a very dumb, overrated film. I only remember that line because I was thinking how dumb it was and finally realized that people are so brainwashed by Will Ferrell that will literally laugh at anything he says.
  12. To all of you complete buffoons (sp?) who have ascertained that Fitzpatrick is in fact not a starting caliber NFL QB or an "average to below average NFL QB," I suggest you go to nfl.com, click on stats and then league leaders and then click on passer rating and observe the one name ahead of him. I think you may have heard of the guy, his name is Peyton Manning. I'm not saying HE IS the answer, I'm just saying to state that you're certain he's not is completely absurd. Why? Because he went to Harvard? Because he was a late round pick? Because he has a big head? Because he wasn't a handsome first round pick from USC or Miami who surfs and wears sunglasses? Franchise QB's come in all shapes and sizes and come from any direction, don't pre-judge, give him a chance...
  13. Apparently you haven't seen a Chicago Bears game this season. Put it this way- the Bills may even get a sack or two against them.
  14. Get freakin Maybin on the field immediately. I don't care how bad he sucks.
  15. The only good thing about this is that it gets Troup on the field more Let's see, Edwards is a classic 3-4 DE- out of position Stroud is a classic 4-3 DT- out of position Williams and Troup are fine Posluszny is a classic 3-4 ILB- out of position Davis is fine Kelsay blows So 4 out of 7 guys are either completely and utterly out of position or blow Yay!
  16. Are you kidding me !?! On that first play he tackles the guy ten yards downfield! He must suck!
  17. Agreed. But you have to take into account that Jesus wants him to own an NFL team. This is clearly a priority of Jesus's right now with all the poverty, disease and war in the world coming in a close second.
  18. I'm not diehard Posluszny, but in all honesty, if Kelsay is worth $6 million/year, I gotta imagine Posluszny is worth, what? $46, 47 million a year?
  19. Last year, I made a post about how I thought Keith Ellison was underappreciated because he was in the top 5 in the league in tackles after 5 or 6 weeks. You live and learn...
  20. I hear ya, I realize there's a vast difference between a big Defensive End in a 3-4 and say, Keith Ellison. I never said that players are interchangeable between different positions. I guess my point was more that to the untrained eye, our defense is gonna be pretty much the same. By just watching a game, I couldn't tell you if they were running a 3-4 or a 5-1 (which it looks like a lot of the time when they play 5 CB's).
  21. This season has proven to me that, as I suspected, there is very little difference between the 3-4 and the 4-3. You got 7 hulking men either rushing the quarterback or dropping into coverage, trying to tackle people. How they line up is pretty inconsequential. We run the 3-4 (I guess), but most of the time it looks like a 5-2. I love how football know-it-alls try to pretend like there is such a huge difference like they're converting from playing rugby to playing tennis or something. It's all the same. I like the idea of getting Williams and Troup on the field at the same time though.
  22. Agreed. David Nelson and Stevie Johnson must go!!! And Troup and Carrington! What busts they have proven to be!!!
  23. You guys are crazy. Yeah let's cut Alex Carrington, we have ascertained that his career is an utter failure. And let's not cut Stroud, but cut Posluszny? And McKelvin has been horrible this year? Besides that one play vs. Braylon Edwards, the guy has been awesome. I give up. And JayD is advocating cutting David Nelson? Git r' Done Buddy! I can see the promised land now!
  24. With the exception of Kyle Williams, both our lines are absolutely massive, even relative to the rest of the league.
