  1. I'm not saying that Bridgewater had elite talent at WR in 2015 but are you gonna honestly try and tell me that the Bills haven't had a bottom five WR corps (factoring in Watkins' missed time) over the last two seasons? And again, Bridgewater has not played at the level Taylor has yet. The numbers clearly show that. Not to mention, Taylor is the most dynamic running QB in the league. Could he eclipse Taylor if healthy? Sure. But even that's not a given.
  2. Dude. He's been in the league six years. And you're telling me he was "mediocre" for the first four? This idea that he should be expected to be at the level of a guy who's ACTUALLY PLAYED for six years is ludicrous. And Bridgewater was throwing to "garbage men?" Aside from a hobbled Sammy Watkins who plays half the time and Robert Woods who's a #3 WR, he has spent the last two years throwing to mid season scrap heap pickups. That's a wash there. And, as has been discussed ad nauseum, if the Bills' defense didn't s**t the bed the last two seasons, they would've made the playoffs by now too. The Bills offense has been decidedly better each of the last two seasons than the Vikings' was their playoff year. I feel like you're smarter than this. You're like a Trump surrogate on CNN who has to stand their ground and defend their stance even when they know they sound ridiculous.
  3. See this is where I find it difficult to take you seriously. You are so adamantly anti-Tyrod but Teddy Bridgewater was destined for greatness? Would I trade Taylor for Bridgewater prior to his injury? Maybe? But Taylor has played at a higher level for two years than Bridgewater ever has. You are so fixated on young guys' upside while so certain that Tyrod Taylor couldn't possibly ever improve. There's a good chance Deshaun Watson never plays at Tyrod Taylor's level in this league. The last game Taylor played in was maybe the best of his career. Let's just let it all play out.
  4. I'm a Bills optimist so I would certainly see enough highlights from Clemson if we drafted him to get behind it. But the guy on the radio did sound fairly concerned, which made me think about it more so than I would have thought about hand size or bench press reps. Which I think should concern everyone a little bit unless I'm missing something.
  5. I myself, am not in a tizzy. I'm a Corey Davis guy. I heard one of the foremost national expert guys on the radio here in Denver and he was making kind of a big issue about it. Was the first and only time I had heard about it. The guy I heard said the only guy to throw under 55 was Prescott at 54 and he had a shoulder injury at the time so nobody cared. I guess Brees threw 55 and that was the slowest anyone had thrown since they'd been doing it.
  6. Ha it's not nearly as bad as the 2013 draft class. Not only are the QB's way better but the draft overall is WAYYYYY better. Like 2013 was the worst first round since I've been following football and 2017 is above average talent-wise. So if QB's are going fairly high, I trust they're worth it.
  7. Are you aware that no QB has been timed under 55 MPH at the combine in years and Watson was timed at 49? He throws the slowest football of any QB to come out in years and no successful QB has thrown under 55 at the combine since its inception. Is this concerning to you or anyone? It sounded a bit alarming to me. I feel like it's more significant than the annual hand size debate.
  8. Top two TBD cliches in one post: that our offensive line always sucks (it's a top five unit in football) and that trading down is always good (it isn't).
  9. I think I like Andre Holmes' upside more than I liked knowing what we had in Robert Woods.
  10. By who? Mike Williams was kind of a consensus pick I feel like. McKelvin was a pretty standard pick. I'd have to go back and look but I'm not sure I agree with that statement. Agree on everything you said. Except that we might have the worst WR core in the league even with a healthy Watkins. WR is a desperate position of need. I'd run to the podium and take Davis at 10 and then go defense the next three picks.
  11. Surge pricing can be WAY more than a cab.
  12. Of course not. Young people have to stop throwing around "ever" so haphazardly. And I'm only 38. For one, he's not that big of a draft bust because no one even thought he was that good to begin with. This I will say- that was the worst first round draft since I've been following football and it's not even close. And the thing is, everyone knew it then too. Maybe worst trade up to draft a guy.
  13. Elway has also been horrendous at drafting offensive linemen, as they've had a porous offensive line for years- something we take for granted in Buffalo even though half the people on here still think we have a bad offensive line. Also, it's always so easy and chic on here to say "trade down" regardless of the situation but in this particular draft, there's gonna be a hell of a player sitting there at 10.
  14. Isn't this the guy who plays the National Anthem in his backyard?
  15. If the Bills think there is a QB worthy of going in the top half of the first round and they pass on him at 10, then you're right, they're idiots. But if they don't and they take one anyway, just for the sake of taking one, then they're even bigger idiots.
  16. This idea that CK can play LT but can't play RT is a bit overblown I feel like. Maybe he just happened to finally develop as a football player while playing LT. I'd be surprised if, going forward, he's this awesome LT and sucks at RT. In fact, I'm calling right now that if he's healthy, he starts the year at RT.
  17. Hate the Broncos no. 1 and the Patriots no. 2. I dislike all the other teams. I guess I'm kinda cool with a handful of teams just because they have sweet uniforms, like the Raiders, the Chiefs and the Saints. I used to be semi-cool with the Packers but Aaron Rodgers is a douche. I am less cool with the Browns than I was before they ruined their uniforms. Outside of my love for the Bills and my hatred of the Broncos and the Patriots, I really only care about uniforms.
  18. You included Goodwin amongst your evidence of the Bills "bleeding talent." Do you have any idea how much more Andre Holmes brings to this roster than Marquise Goodwin? Not to mention, Micah Hyde vs. Aaron Williams?
  19. I said the same thing. The majority of first round picks that haven't worked out were reasonable picks at the time. Mike Williams being the best example. Ryan Leaf was the right pick for the Chargers at 2. Torell Troup and TJ Graham were the two worst picks of my lifetime based on the absolute glaring no-brainers who had fallen into our laps sitting right there.
  20. I understand where you're coming from with the 'we already had Jackson and Lynch' take but Spiller was a dynamic player coming out of college and he produced for us. To suggest that a guy who once ran for over 1,200 yards while averaging 6 yards a carry is the worst first round pick in the 57 year history of a franchise is beyond preposterous. And another thing, new rule, young fans (I am 38 and only claim to go back to the '85 season) cannot throw around claims like "worst or best in Bills history" when they only go back to like Drew Bledsoe as the Bills QB.
