  1. My honest opinion? I think that # is completely and utterly fabricated. Hey let's ask a season ticket holder: do you see close to a 50% increase in Ontario license plates over the last three years? Didn't think so. There's been a ton of Ontario plates at that stadium since I was a kid going in the mid-to-late 80's. To say that this Toronto series is in any way responsible for a surge in Ontario season ticket holders is ludicrous. That being said, I agree with everyone else that the Toronto series is good for the long-term viability of the franchise, but to have Russ Brandon try and insinuate that a bunch of hockey fans up in Toronto were watching that Bills-Dolphins thriller a few years ago and said, "you know what, let's start driving down past customs on Sundays to go to games in Orchard Park" is insane.
  2. I agree. Classy post. It's gonna be an uphill battle to keep the Bills in Buffalo however, when Obama is trying to take them away from us. Just like he's trying to do with our guns. And our freedom.
  3. I was thinking the same thing when I read the article. So because the Bills have played two miserable and one decent game that they lost in Toronto, this has inspired people in Southern Ontario to go to more games at Rich Stadium? I don't understand the connection. It's not like these people didn't already know about the Bills and if they didn't, those three games certainly wouldn't have inspired them to want to go out and buy season tickets.
  4. I think this draft is a weak one and I'll tell you why. First off, neither Newton nor Gabbard, as the OP referred to him as, are slam dunk QB prospects. There are questions regarding Fairley's heart. As far as Miller, I think Rolondo McClain was a better LB prospect (granted he's an ILB) last year and he went, what 8th? I know there have been various weights that he's been listed at but I'm sorry, when I see footage of him, he just looks undersized. This is a draft where I wish we could trade down and get a Watt or a Kerrigan, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Peterson is the safest pick, but I don't know, I trust Gailey and Nix. Call me naive, but I got the current regime's back no matter who they take this time around.
  5. Stop going hard on every play Rudy, you're making the rest of us look bad.
  6. What a nice article. What a genuinely nice guy. How cool is it that Stevie and Fitz and their families are getting together in AZ? I'm picturing a family gathering outside a trailer park like in Raising Arizona. No but seriously, this guy just seems like a good guy. I know some of his antics are childish sometimes, but I think he'll grow out of it.
  7. Brad Daluiso. Can't believe I was the first to get that one. Think he was on one or two Super Bowl teams.
  8. I have one question then. If Wood is no good, Bell is too skinny and weak and the right tackle position was occupied by guys off of other teams' scrap heaps all season and Hangartner got hurt and we were forced to play with more guys from other teams' scrap heaps AND our offensive line ranked AT LEAST average in every conceivable statistic which measures offensive line effectiveness, then either a) our offensive line coach is a genius or b) one of those guys that played last year has to have been decent, no?
  9. 6th round pick? Sure. What makes you think they would make that trade. He was a 2nd round pick last year and I can't imagine his stock would de-value that much just because he didn't play very well as a rookie on the worst team in football. I'd guess he's still worth a 3rd or 4th rounder today. But yeah, I suppose I'd take a flyer on him over whoever would be available in this year's draft in the 6th round. Why am I even responding to this post? Are the Panthers offering Jimmy Clausen? What am I doing? I need to get back to work.
  10. Did it? Or does a quarterback who shouldn't even be on an NFL roster as a 3rd stringer tend to make a line look worse?
  11. Where's Bill from NYC? Crickets... Crickets... Crickets...
  12. Without looking at the #'s, I can tell you that a) their YPC was at least middle of the pack last year, b) their third down conversion rate was extremely good w/ Fitzpatrick and c) Fitzpatrick was definitely sacked a below average # of times after taking over last year relative to the rest of the league. No one is saying that their offensive line is elite, but if you don't think that it's a young, up-and-coming offensive line, then I don't know what to tell ya. They have a C/LG combo that will be here for the next ten years, a LT that, whether Bill from NYC likes it or not, the staff believes in and is gonna be there and yes, they could use a RT. But it's certainly not a top area of concern. Which isn't to say they won't take a RT in the 2nd or 3rd round, but don't mock the OL as if it's a complete joke (which it was in '09- although Edwards undoubtedly made it look worse). I think you need to watch more football besides the Bills to gain some perspective. Not every QB can just drop back and chill out for five seconds and then make a throw unscathed. Even the Colts had OL problems last year.
  13. I don't know what to tell ya man. They're the best band ever. I'm too old to debate it or try and convert you, but if you get it, you get it and for all those opposed... well... -W. Axl Rose To give you an idea as to the other musicians I would put in my top 15 so you may think twice about phish if you like the rest of the music I like- John Prine, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot, Merle Haggard, Zeppelin, The Stones, The Dead, G 'n R, The Hip, moe., Burning Spear, The Who, Skynyrd, Van Halen, et al.
  14. Does anybody remember how sick Shane McMahon was in the late 90's? There was like a 6 month period where he would wrestle in every PPV and take one insane bump in each one. To this day, Shane vs. Kurt Angle at (I think) King of the Ring is THE best match I have ever seen. On a related note, Kurt Angle is THE best wrestler I have ever seen- when you combine his array of moves with his technical wrestling skills. Man I friggin loved the WWF in the late 90's.
  15. Hey fellow Bills/Phish fans (my two favorite indulgences on planet earth) let's party down at D-Lake on June 8th! I'm flying home from Denver for the show. Think I'm going to Cleveland the preceding Saturday as well. Fluffhead, I'll hit you up before the show. And more importantly... I'm on my Stevie Johnson. That would be sick if Trey teased an "I'm on my Stevie Johnson" halfway through the second set during a sick Tweezer jam.
  16. I think my argument would be fortified by the backing of NEARLY EVERY SCIENTIST ON PLANET EARTH! Hey it's the offseason, I'm just trying to get through the months leading up to the draft.
  17. Liberal hatred like pro-education, pro-equality, pro-environment, pro-middle class, pro-maybe raising taxes every so slightly on multi-billionaires, anti-unnecessary, unjustified wars, deaths. I'd have to agree, the liberal agenda is one that oozes hatred. Plus, she probably figured that with her hate-filled rhetoric, she could get in good with the Democrats, who are notoriously in favor of lowering taxes on the richest Americans, of which she is now one. You win. You are impugning a website due to one user's comment in the comment section? Tell me what website you find to be legitimate, sir. I will make sure to create an account, and underneath an article, start a conversation about how Dick Jauron is in fact the greatest motivator in modern coaching history. Thus ending, for all of eternity, the reliability of the website.
  18. This was published in the Huffington Post? I aint done read me no damn liberal media. You know they probably switched around the quote because they're a bunch of Socialists. I aint sure what Socialism is but I heard someone on Fox News say it, so I've been repeating it a lot lately. You know them folks is fair and balanced. Arianna Huffington is trying to destroy America with articles like this.
  19. "Doctors say he's got a 50% chance of making it. But there's only a 10% chance of that." Top 5 comedies ever. Leslie Nielsen RIP
  20. My how the legend has grown. He broke it on here about 2 hours before it was announced, not a full day. Still pretty impressive if you ask me.
  21. There's no way A.J. Green falls to the 6th round! Are you crazy!?!
  22. Wow you really went out on a limb with these picks, huh? Correction: 2012 playoffs. If the Bills can plug a few holes and Fitzy stops making those one or two boneheaded throws per game, I'll take the Bills to claim a wild card over the Jets this year.
