  1. What's the difference. They all suck. Ralph is cheap. Refuses to pay for real talent. He's old and miserly. The bottle of sleeping tablets on my bedside table is getting fuzzy. The empty bottle of Jack Daniels just fell out of my cold, limp hand and rolled across the floor... I can see the light... I'm going home now... Hi Grandpa...
  2. I watched him play in the 2nd quarter last night on NFLN. He looked pathetic. He made a couple easy throws, but just looked hurried, nervous and erratic. He is not an NFL QB.
  3. I can't believe I'm actually taking the time to respond to this but... I for one could not possibly get injured at my job. Football is a wildly barbaric and violent sport and any measures they can put into place to help prevent players getting bashed in the head (which again, couldn't happen to me at my office), with what we now know about brain injuries- you'd have to be an a**hole to disagree with.
  4. I live in Denver and listen to Alfred Williams on my way home from work everyday. The guy is awesome. Super nice guy, super knowledgeable about the game. I watched the replay yesterday (first half) and thought he did a tremendous job. What in the world is your problem with him?
  5. How do you guys feel about what Vick did to dogs and whether or not his crimes were so atrocious that we should or should not have pursued him? We really should have that conversation.
  6. Really, why? I just hope Tom Brady isn't already old and in the twilight of his career when we finally beat them. I want to beat them now, this season. The Bills have turned into a college team. We're not going to the Orange Bowl, but if we could just beat State, I'll take it.
  7. I saw that yesterday and just assumed it was a mistake. I'll believe it when I see him lined up with the starters on Saturday.
  8. I'm going to the game and am planning on making a 'thank you Broncos for taking Von Miller' sign. I'll probably be too lazy to actually make the sign, but if anyone's going, I'll be the one in the L.Smith #46 jersey. Say what's up. P.S. $500 for a Metzelaars jersey if you know where I can score one.
  9. I hate using internet abbreviations, but I literally just lol'd.
  10. I think you're kind of minimizing Williams' play last year. First off, without looking, who made it over him as an interior lineman? Wilfork, Ngata? Clearly, reputation plays into that a little. Kyle Williams had the best season that any Bills player has had last year dating back to Sam Cowart or maybe even Bryce Paup in my opinion. His performance in the Steelers game was one of the most dominant performances I've ever seen in my life- offense or defense. So, yes technically he "barely made the pro Bowl," but i guess my point was that he performed at a Pro Bowl level. And I think we have three guys right now, obviously I don't have to name them, who could very easily be Pro Bowl type players. Whether or not they'll actually make the Pro Bowl, I guess we'll find out.
  11. Has anyone noted the fact that of the Bills seven starters up front, three of them are insanely good- I mean Pro Bowl good- right now? Not only is this noteworthy, but more importantly with all the attention they're gonna be paid, it's gonna open up things very nicely for the other four and with increased pressure it's gonna make things a lot easier on the DB's. I'm setting the over/under for our defensive rank this year at 15. Obviously this is all contingent on people staying healthy, but how can you not love the young depth we have right now- namely Batten, Carrington, Troup and Moats. Man I'm happy with the direction of this franchise right now. Your resident eternal optimist, Metz
  12. I have never been a big Kelsay supporter, but even at his absolute worst, he's still way better than this thread.
  13. Someone who knows what they're talking about wanna chime in on where we stand? I know we have all the rookies signed. Do we still have to spend more money?
  14. I was gonna say, I'm not diehard South park but I thought that episode was hysterical. My guess is that you're into WoW and you were offended. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
  15. To quote Neil Young, (Brady's) still got a long way to go.
  16. Considering that Demetrius Bell was actually pretty good last year and should be even healthier this year, I'm only excited about Merriman and not the least bit concerned about Bell. I don't understand why reports from a couple practices have ballooned into such a big deal. We all know what Allen Iverson said. LET'S WAIT TIL SEPTEMBER 11TH. Now to say I'm not concerned that Merriman or Barnett will get hurt at some point, that's a different story. But imagine- just imagine- if they can both stay healthy. You got Dareus, Williams, Merriman and Barnett as 4 of your front 7?
  17. What do you know, a well thought-out post from eball. I agree with virtually everything you said. I agree with the LB's to the man. I think they may even keep 7 WR's and just keep Roosevelt, but I certainly agree w/ the other 6. I think they're just gonna count Brad Smith as the 3rd QB and just keep Fitz and Thigpen (kind of obvious at this point). I've never heard of this TE you speak of, but I agree w/ your take on Nelson and I agree that it's Chandler's job to lose. Sidenote: whatever happened to Stuppar? Also I think that all Jasper has to do is show a glimpse and he's on the team because as people have speculated, I think he'd get picked up by someone else pretty quick.
  18. I just laughed out loud at your avatar. Amazing. Easy big fella.
  19. I don't necessarily disagree with you. I don't think he's gonna be that great either. But didn't he throw for 300 yards against Houston? I think J.P. Losman did that once in his entire career and Trent Edwards never did it. For a rookie, that's not too bad.
  20. Are you the southern ieatcrayonz? 1. The Redskins game is in Toronto. 2. Why would you bring your wife? That's a critical mistake. As far as stuff to do in Buffalo, search countless numbers of threads on here, there's probably one of them a month. Are you talking about Bills fans or Raiders fans? I think it would probably apply to both.
  21. I live in Denver and I can tell you that most of what is on here is true. The fans want Tebow overwhelmingly and yes, Orton, apparently, has looked WAY better in camp (what- 4 days of practice?) But the thing that gets overlooked in all of this and I can't believe no one is mentioning it is that Tebow looked pretty damn good last year when he played. So I'm not really sure where the "Tebow will always suck" crowd is coming from. He got thrown into the fire last year on a bad football team as a rookie and did not suck.
  22. Someone will emerge at RT and the offensive line will be above average.
  23. After doing some digging around, I was actually able to find it. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_QRkWmLt3pbQ/TAF8Y99jnWI/AAAAAAAAAz8/kYg2b6axjVU/s1600/manicorn.jpg
