Did we elect team captains yet?

Fitzpatrick, Wood, Kelsay, Williams, Moorman and Wilson. 5 white guys. Why do you think they suck? -
God helped us land Dareus
metzelaars_lives replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we all know which God I was referring to- the one true living God: the American God. You see, my faith in this American God is so strong that I believe even if I was born in a poor Indian village along the Ganges and everyone that had ever lived in that village was Hindu and I had never even been exposed to said American God, that he would reveal himself to me somehow and I would believe in Him. And it was He that caused Stevie Johnson to drop that ball against the Steelers and thusly, He who is behind #99 lining up at Defensive End against Kansas City on Sunday. Praise His name. -
At the time, when God cost us that game against the Steelers, we, along with Stevie Johnson, were all questioning how he could do us like that. But perhaps this was God's plan all along. Thanks to him causing Stevie to drop that pass, we now have Marcell Dareus. The dude certainly works in mysterious ways.

Troup injured in practice
metzelaars_lives replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at the Denver game and was too drunk to pay close enough attention, but my brother said that Troup was the best player on the field in the second half and then Buscaglia wrote the same thing on GR. -
Is that Jim Brinson for CBS? Well of course he's gonna pick the Bills.

And there's your winner.

It is just a coincidence. The NFL has a very organized and fair system by which the schedule is generated. You rotate amongst the other three AFC divisions each year and go back and forth with each team in terms of playing them home and on the road. Then on top of that, you play the team that finishes in the same place as you in the other two AFC divisions and you go back and forth in terms of which division you play that team home and road. So you could play at KC one year because it's your year to play against the AFC West and you played them at home last time and then the next year you could play at KC again because you're slotted to play at the AFC West team that finished in the same place as you.

Bills Talking Contract Extension with Parrish
metzelaars_lives replied to Arkady Renko's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So let me get this straight- you're a Bills fan but when he was easily the most electrifying punt returner for in the league for 2-3 years and always gave the Bills a distinct field position advantage, you were like, "nah, I don't like this guy." Just checking. -
Jack Del Rio -- well done
metzelaars_lives replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was wondering where Allen Wilson had been. That sucks, I wonder why no one had heard about that, I wonder if that's the first it was reported. Del Rio is the man, that's awesome. -
He's still sh***y.

0-16 is more likely than 6-10

And second of all, no it's not. I will bet you $100 they finish with at least 4 wins right now even odds. -

POTY candidate? -
That team would beat the Bills if they were wearing only their boxers and flip-flops and the Bills were wearing full pads.

That was his market value. If you're suggesting they could've gotten a 3rd for Lee Evans, that simply wasn't possible. Maybe, MAYBE if they wait until week 5 and a team gets a rash of injuries, but other than that no way. I actually thought there was a chance it might've been a 5th after I heard he was on the block.
-
Wow. I just came on here and am reading the reactions to Lee Evans' preseason touchdown against the Redskins last night. Has anyone alluded to the fact that it was a preseason touchdown against the Redskins? Last season he had an even longer preseason touchdown against the Colts and then he caught 37 passes in the regular season. Everybody calm down! I actually do think he's gonna have a big season, but I don't that we can draw any conclusions at all from one freaking play last night.

How do you decide what to wear in the morning? Which value menu to go with at Wendy's? I couldn't imagine if you went to a bar with like 100 microbrews on tap. That's a way better thread right there by the way. Just pick one and go with it. Everyone in the world is in fantasy football, most people on here are probably in multiple leagues. I have confidence that you'll make the right decision. Not McFadden.

Arthur Bryants DESTROYS Gates. I would honestly take the Dinosaur over Gates- don't get me wrong, Gates is still good, but I love the Dinosaur. But Arthur Bryants- you can't get ribs like that ANYWHERE. I stayed in Westport and we went to Kelly's Friday and Saturday night. Absolutely perfect place to hang out with your buddies on a Bills road trip. If you want to go out and look at chicks, you're lookin at the Power and Light district. -
Listen you complete and utter bozo, you clearly didn't watch the draft. Once again, both Jon Gruden and Herm Edwards both very clearly stated, in plain English, that they felt CJ Spiller was the best football player in the 2010 draft during the very extensive coverage of the 2010 draft, right after he was selected by your Buffalo Bills. Do you have any idea how sick he was in college? Yes he hasn't quite adjusted to the pro level yet, but give him some time.
-
I'd agree he's underpaid. But that doesn't seem to be his gripe. He is not Thurman Thomas and CJ Spiller is not Kenneth Davis (yes I know, Kenneth Davis was sweet, bad example). But Jerry Sullivan- THE BILLS DID NOT REACH FOR SPILLER AT 9! He was considered the best player in the draft by both Gruden and Herm Edwards and I'm sure many others. Why do people act like the notion of trying to get carries for a guy taken 9th overall is an antiquated one? That's what they should be doing! If Jackson thoroughly outplays Spiller again this year, then he'll get the carries and will have nothing to worry about. This is the organization that made you- a guy playing in NFL Europe or the Arena League or whatever it was- a millionaire. Show some respect.
-
Read Sullivan this morning and then read the comment by Chris Krueger below the article. Absolutely destroys Sullivan and he's 100% right. What does Fred Jackson think? That he's gonna go to another team and get 300 carries? Every team in the league uses a platoon system. Of course he's gonna end up with more carries than Spiller this year. They're going to try to win, which means they're gonna give carries to the back that is producing. But of course Spiller needs the touches in the preseason. I have the organization's back 100% on this one. Just as long as they don't trade him.

This thread is brilliant. The fact that it is about to make it to the 3rd page is awesome.
