I'm still in the process of becoming a geek here. what does LAMP mean?

No doubt the Bills-Jets games are the biggest ones on our schedule this year. They're gonna be the team we have to beat out.

Why have you been so condescending on this thread? Do you not understand that if the Bills would've lost a tough one vs. NE and then came in and whipped up on Cinci they'd be 3-1. If they come into Cinci all hungover and lose a sloppy one, they're 3-1. Yes, when it comes to tiebreakers, I guess a divisional win means more, but bottom line is the Bills need to get to 10-6 and they will not do so unless they win their cream puff games. This, after Denver and Miami at home, as of now, looks to be our easiest game on the schedule. We absolutely have to win. Amazing point. Tie-breaker vs. the Ravens or the Steelers or the Chargers or the Raiders would be CONFERENCE record anyway, so it is every bit as important as the New England game, unless we finish with the same record as the Jets. Newsflash: the Patriots will win the AFC East.
-
If they win 1 of the 2, they're 3-1 either way. That's my point. We need to get to 10-6 and we're not gonna do it if we don't beat our very few cupcakes on the schedule. Guess what? New England's gonna make the playoffs regardless so it's not like we're gonna tie them and have division record vs. them come into play (although it very well may against the Jets). An average team can catch lightning a bottle (Brady 4 picks?) and do what they did to New England last week. A good football team does not screw around and comes out and demolishes an inferior opponent on Sunday. I stand by my point.

Are you serious? This may be the most blasphemous post I've ever seen on here. You may want to consider not going around telling people about your thoughts on this subject.

Our Sackless Front FOUR NOT ENOUGH CREDIT
metzelaars_lives replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disagree completely. All day long Brady was able to stand still the way Paul Blake does for Texas St. before he throws the winning TD in Necessary Roughness. It's the NFL, of course there's going to be SOME pass rush, but ours on Sunday was severely lacking. Now if you want to make the argument that they were only sending 4 or 5 pass rushers a lot of the time, then fine. But do not pretend that Brady was under duress that game. -
It may sound crazy, but I really believe this. If they come out and fall flat on their faces, then the New England win was basically all for naught. Yes it was symbolic beating NE, but they end up at 3-1 if they lost to NE, then beat Cincinnati. Cincinnati blows and is starting a rookie (albeit he's playing decent) QB. I have seen way too may people on here already talking about the Philly game. I am certain Chan and the players do not have this mentality so I'm not worried about that. If the Bills really want to go up in the proverbial power rankings and establish that nothing has been a fluke thus far, then they make another statement this week and come out and beat the everliving s*** out of Cincinnati. I wanna see 4 sacks. I wanna see endzone antics and players laughing on the sidelines. I wanna see Tyler Thigpen handing off to Johnny White in the 4th quarter. No more of this come from behind stuff. Go Bills!

So yeah Stevie Johnson is on pace to have an even bigger year than last year despite not having the magical 2 catch-a-game decoy on the other side taking away all the double coverage. Did you watch the game yesterday? Arguably the greatest defensive coach in NFL history had 2 guys draped all over Stevie Johnson every play... not. So I invite anyone who was b*tching about that trade- Bulldog, do you have an account on here?- to come forward and admit you were dead wrong. Look at every post I've ever written (that would be weird), I said it was a great trade the moment they made it. They were lucky to get a 4th for him. Yes, he would be good for depth, but he wouldn't have been considered depth, he would've been taking snaps away from Jones and Nelson, who are already developing quicker as a result of the trade. Great work Buddy! (Although I'll never forgive you for taking Troup over Gronkowski).

Peter King has Pats ranked higher than Bills
metzelaars_lives replied to Matty Shu's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed 100% He's been all about the Bills since training camp. I would've guessed that the Bills will be ranked around 9-10 in the ESPN poll. They definitely deserve to be ranked behind the Pats. The Pats only loss is to go a good team on the road in a close game they probably should've won. The Bills are due for a clunker and when it happens, it'll put things in perspective. Not to say this team can't make the playfofs. -
Who are you Pat Moran? Dan Gronkowski was not cut. Please close this thread.

Tedy Bruschi on Fitz
metzelaars_lives replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone who has a problem with this statement from Bruschi is searching for a reason to be pissed at the guy. Although I loathe Bruschi, his analysis is spot on. He said the Bills will move the ball up and down the field on the Patriots- that is certainly high praise. He said Fitzpatrick will fire a couple duds that could be intercepted. Anyone who has watched this guy knows that is obviously the case. What is there to dispute? -
Van Miller to the "Wall of Fame"
metzelaars_lives replied to jkrules's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is no one associated with the Bills organization who I have more love for than Van Miller. His voice reminds me of my childhood. He was the absolute best and John Murphy was the BEST color man. He's OK as the play-by-play guy but he'll never be Van. Van was from a different era that is long gone- Vin Scully, Dick Enberg, a few guys still around that capture it. BTW, I believe after the Bills beat the Oilers- and I could be wrong- but the exact call was, "It's pandomonium, it's FANDOMONIUM, It's fantastic..." Anyone? Yes he should be on the Wall and he will be after he passes. If I had to start from scratch and put only ten people on the wall, he would DEFINITELY be one of them. -

NYC Bills Fans React to Win
metzelaars_lives replied to BillsNYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You wanna know what was way cooler? Being on the 35 yard line 20 rows up. Top 5 Bills games I've ever been to in my life. When Nelson scored, me and my buddies and my bros were literally jumping on top of our chairs, hugging and saying, "I love you man" repeatedly. If that sounds weird, I guess you had ta be there. -
I say extend Gailey first. He's the reason SJ and RF are about to get a big payday.
-
2 things- can't they just franchise him next year anyway? And 2- I think he's worth $15 per season and I'll tell you why- he's continuing at the same pace as last year despite the fact that the greatest 37 catch a year/on pace for 16 catches this year decoy in the history of the NFL isn't there every play to take away all the double coverage.
-
We'll see what happens, I suppose, but it's a moot point because it IS a lock that no more than one team will come out of the south or the west. So everything else I said still applies.
-
It's very simple: New England, San Diego and Houston are locks. The Vegas money is on the Jets, Ravens and Steelers claiming those last 3 spots. You would have to beat out one of those teams. In order to do so, you MUST finish 10-6. Not to early to start rooting against those 3 teams.

Fred Jackson Leads Week 2 Rusher Rating

D&D alert. -
Dude I would've been with you ten years ago, but go back now and watch BTTF II again. It pretty much sucks. Now Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom- a little ridiculous, but tell me that aint a great action movie. As far as the poster who says Jaws II sucked and the dude who backed him up- understand that I'm not saying it's a great film, but it gets overlooked sometimes. It's pretty solid throughout. I'd put it in my all-time top 100. When the dude lands the helicopter and gets attacked while he's still in the pilot's seat, it's pretty badass. Two best sequels ever- Godfather II and Fubar II: Balls to the Wall. Please tell me there's someone on here who knows about Fubar!?!
