  1. I don't know, you think Brady is ONE OF the best QB's in the league? That's going out on a limb right there. I agree though, I think they come out of the AFC this year. As strange as it sounds, they're overdue.
  2. McKelvin is an enigma. I think he may be the full-time PR going into next year. I don't know what Devin Hester was drafted as- probably a CB. In which case, I wouldn't call him a bust. Point being, if he can play some nickel and dime, serve as a backup and be a dynamic returner, I'm OK with that.
  3. Dude, what is wrong with you?
  4. Wow. So much to say here. Number one, if you were on the Bills side, I was the one holding up the Satan sign in the lower bowl. Two, for anyone who just told me I wish Tebow was on the Bills right now!?! Do I need to write a novel in response? The Tebow sucks chants were so awesome and oh-so warranted. I have been at countless sporting events in my life where people chanted someone sucks and I found it ignorant and low brow. Like "Chara sucks" or something. But never before did it feel so right to say it. HE SUCKS!!! Unless you were there, I don't want to hear how it wasn't classy. If anyone actually watched the ESPN segment where Tebow was mic'd during the Bears game and is still cool with him, I'm gonna say you're a fraction as nutty as he is. Get that stuff away from me. Do you realize how many Bills players quietly do stuff for underpriviliged children who AREN'T affiliated with far-right "pro family" hate groups? Oh, but he's genuine, people say. OK, so if a guy joined the league and was a Paganist and painted his fingernails black and spoke in tongues to Satan after games, wouldn't he be just as genuine? He'd probably be less nutty. Tebow sucks, Go Bills, Merry Christmas and Amen. Peace, Metz Hell yeah man, it was amazing!
  5. Aside from the fact that they both suck(ed), these two players couldn't be any different. One is as tough as a fullback and the other one was as tough as Trent Edwards on ecstasy* *except for the Tennesse playoff game. He played tough that game.
  6. Spiller is a damn bust! Thanks for nothin, Buddy. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=redneck+southern+gun&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&rlz=1R2GGHP_enUS461&biw=1024&bih=543&tbm=isch&tbnid=-db5FzeJE8cljM:&imgrefurl=http://deadliestwarriorshowdown.blogspot.com/2011/04/southern-redneck-vs-gangsta-thug-part-1.html&docid=SLwAeD8PfLkKcM&imgurl=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gplqbKqvtLw/TakYRP85nnI/AAAAAAAAAEg/OnvbLnr1k00/s1600/redneck_gun_20100526_1984409262.jpg&w=477&h=316&ei=Hub3TvaQO6rm0QHM-Y3SAg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=295&vpy=247&dur=1263&hovh=183&hovw=276&tx=133&ty=104&sig=103890358696362494555&page=3&tbnh=136&tbnw=197&start=17&ndsp=9&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:17
  7. I know! Barnett suffered major injuries two of the last three seasons. We need to cut him now too! It's only a matter of time before he suffers another one. And Easley, my God! He is eating up so much cap space. Cut him immediately. Even though he's been medically cleared and looked like a beast this preseason, definitely DO NOT bring him into camp. What do you expect when the OP is named Booger.
  8. You're damn right. Hell yeah. Damn liberals always trying to take away my Christmas. http://www.google.com/imgres?q=southern+redneck+gun&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1440&bih=713&tbm=isch&tbnid=-db5FzeJE8cljM:&imgrefurl=http://deadliestwarriorshowdown.blogspot.com/2011/04/southern-redneck-vs-gangsta-thug-part-1.html&docid=SLwAeD8PfLkKcM&imgurl=http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gplqbKqvtLw/TakYRP85nnI/AAAAAAAAAEg/OnvbLnr1k00/s1600/redneck_gun_20100526_1984409262.jpg&w=477&h=316&ei=qjPqTo7fOPLksQLxyY3XCQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=836&sig=109337561521570642941&page=1&tbnh=159&tbnw=217&start=0&ndsp=17&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&tx=150&ty=67
  9. This may be the greatest example of someone unwittingly proving someone else's point against themselves in human history.
  10. Why can't anyone take a step back and give a little credit to the o-line? They've been the best unit on our team all year and they've played their asses off. They've allowed the least sacks in the league and are top ten in YPC. What more do they need to do? What would you say about them if they were say, in the middle of the pack in sacks allowed? I can't even imagine. Good signing for the Bills.
  11. I am forever the optimist, but I agree with the poster who says that just because they're getting PT, doesn't make them good. We know that Dareus is at least serviceable as he continues to see double teams, so he will be an NFL starter for years to come. Beyond that, we know nothing. A-Williams will start opening day next year, which I am happy about, but I also loved McKelvin his rookie year. How quickly people forget what a playmaker he looked like he was going to be. Who knows? Maybe he'd still be decent right now if we didn't have zero pass rush and he didn't have to cover the guy for 30 seconds every play. Very optimistic about Hairston and I'm sure he will start next year as well. Sheppard will start, but I have no clue whether or not he'll be a playmaker. The only one of these guys that has made a real play this year is Dareus and Sheppard's safety in a blowout in Miami. Beyond that we know nothing. But four guys who will be opening day starters next year is encouraging.
  12. I'm sure UCF has many redemming qualities. I went to Canisius and I love Canisius hoops, but if I was an NBA fan and my team drafted someone from Canisius over someone from Duke, I would wonder what they were thinking. I was really just joking anyway. BTW, who is that chick in your avatar, I've often wondered? We don't know that yet. For that matter, we don't really even know if the 2010 class is that bad yet. Lots of players take time to develop. For all we know, Carrington and Troup could be good and Williams and Sheppard could suck. Give it a few years.
  13. Agreed whole-heartedly. "How did we pass on Brady six times" is a way different conversation than how in the world do you not take Ngata over Whitner or Orakpo over Maybin, which everyone on here would've suggested we do!?! That being said, being a Williamsville North grad myself (maybe I'm a little biased), it seemed like an absolute slam dunk to me. He was already considering "slipping" by the time we drafted in the 2nd round. He would've been a top half of the first round pick had it not been for the injury he sustained his junior year. We haven't had a legitimate tight since- what? Ernie Warlick? Oh yeah, Metzelaars.
  14. I take it all back. Troup was a 2-time 2nd team all Conference USA selection. Now that is some pedigree. I swear to God, everytime Gronkowski scores another TD or doesn't even notice someone trying to tackle him as he just bulldozes over would-be tacklers, it's like a dagger.
  15. It's mind-blowing. Like I've said, it's the first time that I can remember- with the possible exception of the Whitner pick- where their pick was inexcusable, unforgivable, inexplicable, etc. Until about two years ago, whenever the Bills made a pick that went against what the magazines, Mel Kiper would have suggested, I always trusted the Bills and thought, well they know more than I do. But the Gronkowski pick was such a no-brainer and they went against what everyone would've thought they would've/should've done and they were wrong. I no longer trust that their scouts know anymore than the people on this website. I really don't.
  16. Mike Williams was a can't miss pick. Once I saw how athletic Losman was, I was thrilled about that pick. I even loved the Spiller pick. But taking Troup over Gronkowski was the classic case of "let's be cute, we know something the rest of the league doesn't" pick. And of course, we don't. See Dareus fell into our laps, it would've been insane to not draft him. That's how the Gronkowski pick was to me. It was so blatantly obvious, so natural of a pick to make, that of course they don't do it. And yes, the Whitner pick was also insane. When you've been reading draft coverage for two months and have about 5-10 guys on your radar for the 8th overall pick and they take someone you've never heard of, that is also frustrating.
  17. You post an average of less than once a year, but clearly this one was worth the wait! Great post, very insightful and eye-opening. And I like the way that you made your point and then really articulated your case and backed it up in a neatly laid-out fashion. Thanks!
  18. Patience people, this kid Troup is gonna be a monster. Never mind that he came from a girly man school and we could've taken him in the 3rd round anyway. And Rob Gronkowski, who went to Williamsville North, is built like a professional wrestler and was considered a top 10 overall talent before he got hurt in college was just sitting there and it appeared to be the most obvious pick since I've been watching drafts. Just wait folks, it'll work out for us just fine. I am always a Bills apologist and I hate when people dwell on past mistakes, but I'm sorry, I'll never get over this one. Never.
  19. He does start and he is the prototypical 3-4 defensive end. Why is this a thread?
  20. Agreed, he would definitely be considered a bear.
  21. Good morning Dadonkadonk. Just curious, are we certain that Florence is most likely gone? Didn't he re-sign this year for like three years or something? Is there any guaranteed money owed next year? If so, there would be no reason not to keep him even if it meant playing at the nickel spot.
  22. He made a diving pass break-up against the Broncos in Denver in the end zone on the final play of the game in '08 to seal a win for the Bills. I was at the game. I know one guy who's not on the team and that's "beast mode."
  23. Alright, so they won't let us watch youtube at work, so I finally watched the video last night. It was a friendly reminder as to why I don't live in Buffalo, especially when the Bills suck. That being said, I wanted to weigh in here- I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that girl is hot. Not just decent, but hot. I am biased as I am partial to the plain brunette pony tail girl next door look though.
