  1. Whatever man, I like Keith Ellison. Sorry.
  2. That's because we didn't use him properly. I think if we set him up as an outside pass rusher, we'd be looking at 10-15 sacks easy. Typical Ralph being cheap not wanting to re-sign the guy. He didn't play this last year, probably because teams weren't willing to pay the high salary he would've commanded, but now I bet he'd come on the cheap being that he sat out a whole year and is desperate to get back on the field. Git 'r done, Buddy!
  3. You're right, he was an OLB. All the more reason to bring him back. He was light, just like Maybin. And look at what Maybin did with the Jets! Maybe if Ellison could shed a few lbs. and get down to the 220 pound range like Maybin, we may have our answer at OLB and our new pass rusher for 2012.
  4. Why not? Having a light, but lightning quick defense is how championship teams are doing it these days. Keith Ellison was the prototypical ILB.
  5. Does anyone else think they need to bring back Keith Ellison? The guy was a tackling machine in the middle. He wasn't the biggest guy in the world, but he played with a ton of heart. I don't believe he was on an active roster this year, so knowing Keith, I'm sure he spent the whole year working out and prepping for 2012. I'm sure you could get him for cheap, I'd say it's worth a shot. This is the type of guy you bring in if you want to build a championship caliber roster.
  6. How sick was Andre Miller in that game?
  7. Uh, huh, huh, huh... Uh, huh, huh, huh... He said McNutt. Huh, huh.
  8. Just to be clear, you were shocked at how well a rookie- who, mind you, has plenty of size- played at Left Tackle, would have given him an A if he didn't get hurt, but are certain he is not a long-term starter. Got it.
  9. This, the St. Louis rumors, the Oakland rumors, keep 'em coming... And by the way, the picture of this man must be seen. Do yourself a favor and click on the link if you haven't already.
  10. Yeah I don't know how the wheels fell off that year, especially with a young Lonnie Johnson on the roster!
  11. Averse. Did Henne really have the talent? When Matt Moore comes in and proves he's way better than you, maybe you're simply not that good. What about Heylookatmeionlyhaveone?
  12. Personally, I think Fitz is better looking, but that's just me.
  13. SJ is gone, huh? That sucks. I thought they were gonna at least try and re-sign him too. Oh well.
  14. You guys, stop. Our punter is fine. Saying we have more important things to worry about is the understatement of the year.
  15. I think they'll re-sign him too. I love how people come on here and say that "Stevie is gone, get over it" and stuff like that. Probably the same people that were posting stuff like, "Ha! Thank you Carolina! What a bunch of morons, drafting Cam Newton! He's gonna be a bust!"
  16. OK, a couple things. First of all, he's already changed his pick in the 2nd round to a pass rusher. No problem there. Second of all, he has us taking a WR in the 3rd round, which is cool, but he also says that Steve Johnson's antics cost us a victory against New England. -5 credibility points right there. And thirdly and most importantly, I get giddier about the draft than anyone. I will watch the first two rounds in their entirety and every Bills pick live. That being said, this means absolutely nothing. This guy, as of now at least, will probably hit on less than 5 of his first round picks. The combine changes everything. It's nice to have something to pass the time until April I suppose, but who this guy has taking in the 3rd round in early January means less to me than who Kim Kardashian dates next.
  17. I could have "found" Dareus and let's give Aaron Williams a full year. Everyone seems to forget how good McKelvin looked his rookie year. I'm more impressed with Nix picking up Urbik, Pears and Rinehart than anything else.
  18. AHHHHHH! Stop! What is the matter with you? What does this line have to do for you to acknowledge that they had a good season? Pears played every snap at RT and played awesome! Bell was awesome at LT- now I'll admit he is injury prone- but then Hairston steps in as a rookie and they don't miss a beat! They were 4th in the NFL in YPC! They allowed the LEAST SACKS IN THE NFL! It is borderline troll-like of you to come on here and list offensive tackle as a need over wide receiver, let alone to list their tackle position as a "gaping hole." Please stop insulting a unit that played their asses off all season. The Bills need a freaking pass rush. They need to address that in two of the first three rounds. Thank you. Oh and P.S. They are also good at safety. Perhaps that makes me delusional, I don't know.
  19. 1. Everyone who played one snap for our offensive line this year was absolutely amazing. Guys playing out of position, backups stepping up- never even missed a beat. Re-sign them all, when healthy they are a top 5 offensive line in the NFL. Period, end of story. 2. I think one thing about this offseason is that everyone is on the same page about what we need. A freaking pass rush and a legitimate starting NFL wide receiver. How can anyone even begin to analyze Fitzpatrick in a game like yesterday when his starting WR's (after the incident) were Derrick Hagan (who actually is pretty good) and Ruvell Martin? They need difference makers at WR. Not guys who can catch passes when they're open, but guys that can take the ball away from CB's. Big, strong guys who are 6'3", 220 lbs. Actually we really only need one guy like that. Is it Easley? I don't know. 3. Am I the only one who notices that the Bills already run a 4-3? Next year's starters will be Kyle Williams, Dareus, Barnett, Shepard and 3 other guys on the front 7. Who those guys are, I have no idea. Merriman? Probably Kelsay or Edwards. Is Carrington an NFL starter? He hasn't shown me anything. But one thing is for sure, they need a brand new guy in there that is not currently on the roster and he has to be a difference maker. 4. Aaron Williams will start next season at CB, obviously. On paper, I really like their secondary. Wilson and Byrd are better than average and Bryan Scott is as good as it gets as far as depth at the safety position. They just have to find a way to generate a consistent pass rush and stay healthy. If that can happen, this team is not that far away.
  20. Exactly. I find it hard to imagine that San Fran has eight players better than our best player. If we continued on our early season pace and made the playoffs, we would have had several pro-bowlers. Also, George Wilson wasn't playing just like a pro-bowler until he got hurt. he was playing like an ALL-PRO, as in second best safety in the league after Polamalu.
  21. All of these figures have to be reconsidered because our offensive line is horrendous and Fitzpatrick has magical powers, being able to get rid of the ball quicker than any quarterback in the league. And the YPC numbers? Well, I guess Jackson and Spiller must be the two best RB's in the league because our offensive line is putrid. Draft O-Line in 2 of the first 3 rounds. We pick up guys off of other peoples' practice squads and they perform well, but they must replaced. Because they came from other teams' practice squads. Signed, Typical fan on this website
  22. Add me to the "if this is all he's really asking and the Bills don't sign him, then (fill in the blank)..." crowd. I'm taking this at face value but if it's true, they better f'n pay the man.
  23. Yeah Gannon sucked under him too...
  24. Agreed. The turning point for me and Jon Gruden was when I was watching him do a Monday Night game against the Colts and he says about Peyton Manning, "This guy here Peyton Manning, I like to call this guy the sheriff." Really? That's what you call him? Awesome nickname. Ever since, I can't take him seriously. Ask the resident meathead in your office and I'm sure he loves Jon Gruden. That is the demographic he appeals to.
