  1. I'm a big George Wilson fan and I sport the dude's jersey. This sucks! I think I'm done buying jerseys for a while. And honestly, I'm kind of surprised they'd release George Wilson before Chris Kelsay. Am I missing something as far as the way their salaries are structured? Doesn't kelsay make more? Don't we have more DE's than safeties?
  2. I'm gonna disagree with you. I can remember him dropping a pass against Houston this year, but aside from that, I find the guy to be very reliable (show me 8 drops somewhere) and I would call him a "slightly ABOVE average starting NFL tight end." If you hadn't noticed, all of Fitz's targets had a low reception/target rate- look at Stevie Johnson's numbers, he had some of the most targets in the league. I don't think he is just a red zone target, I think he has demonstrated that he can rip off big gains in the middle of the field as well. And the guys mentioned on here- Martellus Bennett, Dustin Keller- I'm not so sure they're better football players. The grass is always greener on this website. I do like Fred Davis, but that's about the only guy I see as being a potential upgrade over Chandler. Don't forget Chandler has a pedigree himself (I believe 4th round pick coming out of Iowa?) and his size is more than ideal. Let's see if he can come back from surgery and shoot to be on target for the preseason before we talking about cutting him/injury settlements. For Christ sake, he got hurt making a huge play against Miami.
  3. ??? Didn't some numbers just come out from PFF that we averaged like ten yards a carry running behind him??
  4. I think letting Jones walk was their way of saying that Nelson is their slot receiver. I'd be shocked if they didn't re-sign Nelson. He is a decidedly better football player than Donald Jones. The fact that he is coming off an ACL will make him more affordable too.
  5. Yes but they will play the Broncos and the Texans whereas we get to play Jacksonville and the Chiefs. That makes up the difference right there. I can't wait for the first poster who doesn't understand how the schedule is formulated and that it is a very fair, easy to understand format, and says, "How come the Broncos have the easiest schedule? That's so unfair..."
  6. Can't believe it took two pages before someone chimed in with this sentiment. It's over dude. He's done everything he possibly can to show that he is rehabilitated. Please try and look at this from a strictly football standpoint.
  7. Dude Terrence McGee did it last season.
  8. Uh Jackson, yes, Spiller, no. Spiller missed a half against Cleveland with a sprained AC joint (very familiar with this injury as I've had it twice) and played the next week against New England. I would agree Jackson appears to be injury prone at this stage in his career. But what makes anyone think Bradshaw is looking to be a 3rd string RB? When healthy, he's still very good.
  9. Listen jabroni- you've explained to me that the Rams are not a hot ticket in St. Louis right now. No s**t. They may have the least passionate fans in the entire NFL. But it's not exactly hockeytown USA either. I have been to St. Louis many times and have friends from there. The Cardinals trump everything by far. Since your original post, a dude who lives in St. Louis already agreed with me that referring to the Rams as a "distant 3rd" is laughable. Sure the Blues are good right now so the place probably fills up, but if you were to go back to the year 2000, you would find that a Rams ticket may have been a litle harder to come by than a freaking Blues ticket. Bottom line is, tie goes to the NFL franchise because, like I said, IT'S STILL THE NFL. As far as you calling me "seven" in defense of your usage of the word "retard?" The irony is incredible. I'm sure you do a wonderful job moderating the political forums. I'm sure your opinions are well thought-out and intelligent. I should really start visiting there more often.
  10. Dude barring a barrage of injuries he will go down as the greatest tight end to ever play the game. Will he stay healthy enough to break Gonzalez's records? Probably not. But he's already had a greater season than any tight end to ever play the game. Who would dispute his onfield abilities? My contention is that he's acting like a bigger moron than you are making it out to be. "Ahh give, me a break, he's just having a little fun." If that was your son, would you not have a talk with him?
  11. Agreed. Ya know what, I think the Yankees need a new logo too. I mean, an "NY?" BOOORING. And the Canadiens? Yuck. Blue and Red? This is the 21st century people, time to spice it up. I say the Packers drop those boring duds and go with like a black and neon pink look. The Bills uniforms are too traditional. Instead of stripes, how about arrows like Seahawks have? And if you want to keep the red, fine, but at least make it a glow in the dark neon. After all, I am 8 years old.
  12. Yeah that's easy to say and that seems to be the sentiment of most people on here, but he wasn't just "dancing at a club in Vegas." He was clearly on a stage where he was the focal point of the entire bar and then proceeded to take his shirt off, which he always does. No he's not hurting anyone, but his act officially just jumped the shark. Not to mention it's more than a little bit ghea. He's a young man now. It's time to grow up. Didn't he get a warning prior to this past season by the team to cool his antics?
  13. I would be partying pretty hard like him, but not in the manner in which he does. The NFL is filled with young rich people and no one is doing what he is doing. He is the most protoypical, stereotypical, archetypal meathead that I've ever seen in my entire life. The problem is that while everyone else thinks he's acting the fool, he thinks his schtick is cool. I will admit it's kind of funny, but one day he will realize that people are laughing at him, not with him. Still would give a toe or maybe even half a finger for the Bills to have him over Torell Troup.
  14. I hate when people say this. Compared to who? It is a difficult task to ref an NFL game. Did it used to be better? Are there a group of men somewhere who you think would do a better job? It's like when people criticize weathermen. They are doing the best they can. Who would make a better weatherman? Derek Jeter is a joke. He only gets a base hit just over 30% of the time. Jack Nicholson is a joke, he deosn't win best actor every year. These refs are the best in the world at what they do and, based on the nature of their craft, they'll never be perfect. But no one would.
  15. Dude, the Rams are not a "distant 3rd" in popularity in St. Louis. Obviously the Cardinals are #1 and yes, at the moment the Blues are good and the Rams suck, but let's not kid ourselves. When the Blues sucked, that arena was a mausoleum. Last I checked the Rams still play in the NFL. And also, especially as a moderator, is it necessary to have the r-word in your avatar? I've had posts yanked for stuff much less offensive.
  16. While people are always saying he's built like a gazelle, which I agree with, I commented last night that he looks like an avatar also.
  17. About as many years as it's been since you should have moved out of your parents' house.
  18. Stevie Van Zandt's guitar isn't even plugged in anymore. He's only still in the band because he's a recognizable face. Maybe if he practiced between tours he'd be given a solo once in a while instead of being a lame rhythm guitarist. He was amazing in The Sopranos though.
  19. Why the superlatives? "This guy is gonna be awesome!" "This guy is gonna suck?" Haven't we learned that it's a complete crap shoot? Half this board was certain Cam Newton was going to suck. No ones knows anything. Not the Bills front office, not Damond Talbot, not you, not me. I'm a Tyler Wilson guy right now. But I didn't watch all his games, I'm half talking out my ass when I say I like him. And so is everyone else. The Bills are going to draft a QB in rounds 1 or 2 and I will be optimistic about whomever they take.
  20. ??? So which is it? I disagree. I think Tyler Bray has the highest upside. If not Geno Smith. But I think Barkley and Wilson are the most polished, pro-ready.
  21. All the Broncos have is really Colorado and Wyoming and a little bit more. Wyoming has half the people of Erie County living in the entire state. You have to understand that Denver is in the midddle of nowhere so their fanbase spreads pretty far, geographically speaking.
  22. Graham was a "cute" pick. As was Whitner and Troup. Maybin was not a stretch there. Neither was McKelvin, Aaron Williams, Mike Williams, even McCargo. Some of it is just bad luck. I agree with half of what you said but allow me to play devil's advocate here for a second: I was raised to not be that guy- Joe from Tonawanda with the Buffalo accent and the mustache calling in on the whiner line- "We shoulda/coulda done that..." My Dad taught me that the organization does this for a living and knows way more than we do. But a lot of these blown picks in the last few years are ones that the Joe from Tonawandas were clamoring about before the draft. Donte Whitner would have been sitting there, ecstatic his phone rang when we picked in the 2nd round. Me and my bro were all about Gronkowski when they took Troup. I was obsessed with Kaepernick when they took Aaron Williams. Every single person I knew wanted Russell Wilson in the 3rd round. I was shocked when they took Cordy Glenn this year because that was the first time I can remember that the big, fat, softball pick- the consensus guy on the big boards- fell right into their laps and they actually took him. I would have expected this organization to take some obscure dude at a postion they didn't need that was slated to go in the 4th round, Glenn going the next pick and performing well on whatever team drafted him in his rookie year. That is what I have come to expect from this organization- them taking the "cute" pick, thinking they know something that no one else does. It took me til I was 34 years old to acknowledge that sometimes Joe from Tonawanda is right. My apologies if your name is Joe and you are from Tonanwanda.
