  1. You sound like a pretty serious Sabre's fan. But I would disagree with you on that one point- it seems to me like just about half the teams make the playoffs. I may be in the minority on that one though.
  2. First of all, Carson Palmer was great until he hurt his leg in the playoff game against Pittsburgh. He was absolutely everything you'd expect from a first overall pick. And second, I'm not going to argue that any of the other guys are/were good, cause you're right, they pretty much all suck(ed). But this is a very dangerous and juvenile line of thinking. Where these guys played college football means absolutely nothing. It is a coincidence, pure and simple. Did the Lions stop drafting WR's because they had 3 straight first round busts? No, they took Calvin Johnson anyway. If you think Matt Barkley is your guy, you freaking take him. Someday there will be agood QB out of USC and I'll be damned if the Bills pass on him because of silly superstitious stuff like this. You have to look at the chicken and the egg: so if Andrew Luck had decided to play at USC, he wouldn't be any good now? I'm almost inlcined to argue the opposite- that there have been so many straight busts out of USC that the law of averages says they're due for a good one.
  3. I don't mind the fact that you like the Kolb signing, but I do mind the fact that you decided to slander Fitz in the process. I don't care what their pedigrees are and I don't care what Kolb signed for two years ago. Don't mean s***. I don't think Kolb will ever throw for 25 TD's in a season, which Fitz just did for three straight years, due largely in part to the fact that I don't think he'll ever stay healthy for more than half a season.
  4. Most people know I'm one of the more optimistic posters on here. I'd like to play along with you here, but the fact of the matter is that there was no logical explanation for them not re-signing Nelson. None. Kevin Kolb is a downgrade from Ryan Fitzpatrick. Please disagree with me. You'll see. Manny Lawson is a jabroni. I agree with you on not re-signing Levitre all day. But you gotta make a play for a Laron Landry. You gotta sign a Fred Davis. If not Nelson, then they should've signed Danario Alexander. Unless they're tanking the season- which I'm OK with- then this has been a WTF offseason thus far, I don't care how you dice it.
  5. Can I answer this question and have you respond to me? Last 3 trades made by Regier: Kassian for Hodgson Gaustad for a 1st rounder Roy for Ott
  6. Awesome. Tyler Bray is about to be an NFL quarterback, which is way more interesting to chicks. How did you have 50 people working for you at age 20 without a college degree? There is no possible way that this could be true unless your Dad handed you a business #you_didn't_build_that
  7. Just like Warren Sapp, Randy Moss, Jim Kelly, etc., etc., etc., etc..... He's a kid. Think of what you were like at his age. Him being immature in college should play next to zero role in the vetting process.
  8. Pros: highest upside of any QB in the draft. He's like a far more mobile Ryan Mallett. Cons: his tattoo In all seriousness, I've been in favor of the two Tylers all along. I like the veteran leadership and toughness that I see in Wilson and I like the sheer natural talent of Bray. Those are the two guys at the top of my list.
  9. Hmm. You still think Charlie Sheen saying "winning" is funny and you have one of the more offensively ignorant quotes I've ever seen in your avatar. Great stuff man.
  10. I couldn't agree anymore. And what happens if Warmack turns out to be good? Then they let him go four years from now too? I'm not worried about it though. Draft a guard late, let him compete with Colin Brown and David Snow and the offensive line will be absolutely fine. We have way more pressing needs at this point.
  11. Why the need to spew venom? I get what he's saying. It feels that recently the Bills have been like, "yeah I mean we like Colin Kaepernick, but we don't have a 2nd round grade on him. Hey if he falls to us in the 3rd round, we'll take him." Now it has to be like, "I don't care if the rest of the league laughs at us for taking Tyler Bray 8th overall, if we think he's the answer, then we're taking him." Why is everyone being a d**k to this guy? Wouldn't expect this type of response from a moderator.
  12. No he's talking about Travis Brown. http://www.nfl.com/player/travisbrown/2504003/careerstats
  13. Asleep at the Wheel for Manziel Oh Marrone...
  14. Am I the only one who loves this website but whose biggest pet peeve is on a thread like this when someone comes out and says something to the effect of, "NOOOOOOOOOO! What a disaster, etc. He's obviously going to be worse than player X!!!!!" Look, the fact of the matter is WE DON'T KNOW. It is a crapshoot. From what he's shown, he's looked excellent. In fact, he even looked good in the preseason last year, but Seattle wisely saw that the future was with Wilson and wanted to embrace the future now (then). For those of you who are a little newer, do you know how many people posted on here, "HAAAAAA!!!!!! Carolina, what a bunch of idiots! I can't believe they took Cam Newton. I am certain that he is going to be horrendous!!!!!" Again, I'm not saying Matt Flynn is the answer, but there is more luck involved than anything. For those of you certain as to whether or not it would work, you are only fooling yourselves because you certainly don't know more about football than I do, and I don't know.
  15. Whoa. Being a Bills fan, how can you not know who Ted Johnson is? If you're saying he's a nobody that's fine, but you should know who he was as a football player. We did play them twice a year. Wait- what?
  16. You understand how a grown man could choke, body slam and punch a teenage boy with a closed fist until he's unconscious? Third time arrested for violence in the last ten years? Are you saying this in character as Cornelius Bennett? I think you may have been chomping at the bit to make a point about kids these days before you really had a chance to read the story.
  17. Good call. We'll just take a tight end in the fourth round and... voila! Problem solved. See: Derek Fine and Shawn Nelson. The answer is Fred Davis. But furthermore, if they feel like Chandler is progressing OK, I suppose it wouldn't be the end of the world if we missed him for a couple weeks. But if it looks like he may miss half the season, then yeah, this becomes a glaring need.
  18. Good thread during a down time of the offseason, but yes, you are right.
  19. Why did you put "kids" in quotation marks? Are you implying that they're not really his kids?
  20. Well done. And what's Alex Smith's won-loss the last two years? Yet people would respond on here to the notion of getting of Alex Smith with "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"
  21. Listen man. Me and every GM in the NFL agrees that Tim Tebow is not deserved of being on an NFL roster this fall. He won't be. Ryan Fitzpatrcik WILL be a 2nd string QB in the NFL this year. You and a handful of guys on this website think Tebow is a "winner" and deserved of being on an NFL roster (I can presume that right?) I take comfort in knowing that I'm on the side of every GM in the NFL. It makes me think maybe I have an understanding of the game. It is kind of arrogant to think that you are a better talent evaluator than every GM in the NFL.
  22. And with respect to the old "but the kid's a winner" routine, his record that season was 8-5 I believe. Ya know who else's record was 8-5 in games in which Tebow played? The backup guard. And the backup guard had about as much to do with a lot of those wins as Tebow. In fact, the kicker (Matt Prater) had much MORE to do with those wins than Tebow. They won more than half of those games DESPITE him. Their defense was playing lights out during that run. Just please, I implore you, go on espn.com and look at his game-by-game log that year. It is really shocking. Not to mention, our dignity.
  23. So because we aren't going to win the Super Bowl this year, you're suggesting we bring a QB who every GM in the league realizes is a joke of a football player, an immense distraction- basically the biggest clown in the NFL- so that Bills fans can have "fun?" Why would I get more excited to see Tim Tebow complete an 8-yard pass than Tarvaris Jackson? Because he's a virgin? Will I have more fun watching the Bills lose this year because Tim Tebow is on the roster and he is a fanatical Christian? Why are people so obsessed with this freaking guy? He sucks. He sucks so bad that going into the 2011 season he was behind some guy named Weber on the Broncos' depth chart, let alone Brady Quinn. He got to play because he is a virgin and a fanatical Christian and sings hymns while he's mic'd up during the game and thusly, he was polarizing and people were curious to see what he could do. And what did he do? He put up the most outrageously inept passing numbers I have seen in the NFL in as long as I can remember. In week 17, in a game at home against KC (who SUCKED that year) which they HAD to win, they lost 17-3. Fortunately for them, they got some help and backed into the playoffs anyway at 8-8. How triumphant. What a winner. Did you watch the game against the Bills that year? How about the two times he got embarrassed by the Patriots. Worst. Quartebacking Play. Ever. Ever!
  24. As a 180 lb. weightlifter myself, I'm gonna contend this one. That's 8 45's each side X 30 reps. Agreed, it's not as insane an amount of weight as it sounds, but to do it 30 times??? And you see people doing MORE than that everyday??? What the hell gym do you work out at?
