  1. Dude Thurman has 1 MVP, Bennett won the AFC defensive player of the year- not the NFL and Jim Kelly was a 1st time all pro once and a second time all pro once. I don't feel like looking up all the rest of the guys but did you just make this stuff up?
  2. Agreed 100% that Pat Williams is #1 and Winfield is #2 but I would put Fletcher 3rd. We got Ted Washington in his prime and let him go on the wrong side of 30. Yes he had some productive years after Buffalo but I wouldn't put that one on the front office. The jury is still way out on Levitre. If he becomes a perennial pro-bowler and our o-line struggles without him, you may have to rethink that one. But I think we'd agree that Pat Williams was the most egregious case of not re-signing a guy we should have, considering all the factors involved.
  3. Very nicely done. And look I respect the hell out of the old school Bills and old school Bills fans. But I think some of the old school names that are being thrown around save for OJ and (maybe) Jack Kemp are more than a little "look at me I know about the 60's Bills." Someone really thinks George Saimes is one of the greatest four men ever associated with the Buffalo Bills?
  4. Anyone who doesn't have Ralph Wilson on a Buffalo Bills' Mt. Rushmore really needs to go to the library and check out a book on the history of the Bills. Or at the very least go on wikipedia and do some research. Bottom line, they are wasting their time on a website devoted to the Buffalo Bills when they have no business voicing their opinion on the subject. It would be like if I spent all my time on a Led Zeppelin website and I'd never listened to Led Zeppelin I. After that, it gets a little tricky. I think you have to give the nod to Bruce over OJ due to the whole murdering his wife thing. 1. Ralph Wilson 2. Marv Levy 3. Jim Kelly 4. Bruce Smith Honorable Mention: 5. OJ Simpson 6. Thurman Thomas
  5. I don't get wrapped up in it, it just blows my mind when I read some of the stuff on here sometimes. Read the amusing story above from Bills4. You don't want to write a cover letter or send an email to a prospective employer with a "your" when it should be "you're." If just one fellow Bills fan took the time to look up when to use the proper "your" or the proper "there" or when not to use apostrophes, etc. because of the dialogue in this forum, then I feel like we accomplished something. Just looking out for my fellow Bills fans, that's all.
  6. I own: Leonard Smith Lee Evans (that one I can never wear again) George Wilson- love this jersey, really disapppointed when they let him go All I'll need to see is like a sweet bomb in training camp from Manuel and I'm sure I'll buy a new #3
  7. Who's the Ram? And who's the Bill? I'm very confused.
  8. Why? Have you broken down his game film and determined that he's not starter-worthy? We acquired him in much the same manner we acquired Urbik and Rinehart. He's a mid-round draft pick that we picked up off another team's practice squad and he's got a good pedigree. I think they like David Snow also. You can second guess Buddy Nix all you want but if nothing else, he's proven that he knows what he's doing when it comes to interior linemen.
  9. Yeah that's a good one too. I hate to pile on here, but these are simple rules of the English language that I literally had a firm grasp of when I was in 3rd grade. It's insane that grown men don't know that an apostrophe denotes either possession or a contraction.
  10. Thank you. The not knowing "they're" vs. "there" (and "their") and having no clue when to use "your" vs. "you're" is to be expected, but it blows my mind how many times people write "could of" or "would of" on this site. I would venture to guess that posters on here write "of" instead of "have" more than 50% of the time. Oh well.
  11. Well the Ravens did it and they are a pretty successful franchise. But yeah I agree with literally everything you wrote. I'd be all about it.
  12. No, no it wouldn't. Give me an example of a team that has underachieved relative to their talent as a result of being on Hard Knocks. It's an old wives tale. an urban legend. Once again, after last season's Hard Knocks, I thought there was a decent chance the Dolphins would go 0-16. All that being said, if I'm Doug Marrone, I wouldn't want it, but it wouldn't have an effect either way. Hey Buffalo could use a little publicity. We're neck and neck with Browns in terms of being the most irrelevant team in the league and have been for awhile.
  13. Wow, I am really in the minority on this one. Hard Knocks is one of my favorite shows ever. I have seen every single episode- most more than once- since season 2 (I missed the Ravens one). Honestly, it's like porn for real football fans. And while I could certainly see why the Bills (or any team for that matter) wouldn't want the distraction, like another poster pointed out, it certainly didn't hurt the Dolphins last year. And how can any of you who have actually watched the show sit here and tell me you wouldn't be incredibly excited to watch the Bills on Hard Knocks? I mean, I get excited enough watching the Chiefs and the Bengals and the Dolphins- teams I don't give a s*** about. I would go nuts to see the Bills up close and personal like that, it would be awesome! To see who's cool and who's a douche. Who works hard, who dogs it. To root for that undrafted rookie FA who everyone's pulling for. Anyone who says they wouldn't get excited to watch it is either lying to themself or hasn't seen the show.
  14. Na na na na poo poo. You got em man, way to go!
  15. Is there a John Skelton joke somewhere to be had here? Edit: Never mind, I was late to the party.
  16. Funny that the two people who think that Tim Tebow could be a tight end in this league are a clown and "8 and 8 forever."
  17. I don't know how to do that. Oh well. I thought it was funny.
  18. Dude just watch it. It's freaking insane. This may be his best impression yet.
  19. I haven't been compelled to start a new thread on here in a while, but I just saw this for the first time. Figured it was appropriate for draft time. To quote Billy Madison, "Oh my God that was funny!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rLOEvYULfY
  20. Hey what are you gonna do.
  21. + many numbers I want Tyler Wilson more than any other QB myself and the idea that Nassib would go freaking 8th overall while a guy who- tossup who's better- could go as late as the 2nd or 3rd is insane. Nassib is simply not an 8th overall type talent, period end of story. And if we trade back, no one else is gonna take him anyway. I will be extremely disappointed if they take Nassib at 8th. 16th with an extra 2nd rounder to show for it? I could live with it.
  22. Wow. Watch the 1983 30 for 30. The Bills took Tony Hunter at 12 because they knew at 14, either Jim Kelly or Dan Marino would still be there. They had a similar grade on both QB's. And that was freaking Jim Kelly and Dan Marino. If the Bills trade back from 8 to, say 16, and pick up an extra 2nd or 3rd round pick at the expense of maybe not getting one of these giant question marks then you and everybody on here should be doing backflips. Not to mention, they'll PROBABLY all be there at 16 anyway. But I think they have a similar grade on a bunch of guys so it makes all the sense in the world- if anything it would make their decision easier.
  23. I agree. I don't care what type of draft it is shaping up to be, Ryan Nassib is simply not an 8th overall pick, period, end of story. Not in 2013, not ever. If they trade down and get him, sure I guess. BUT, if they stick at 8 and take a QB (which I don't think happens- either they trade down or take an offensive lineman at 8) it will be Geno Smith or Barkley. You can bank on it.
