So limiting free speech is a "liberal" or "progressive" tactic?

Metz's AFC Power Rankings: 1. Broncos 2. Bengals 3. Patriots 4. Texans 5. Ravens 6. Colts Same 6 playoff teams as last year. After that, it's wide open. Dolphins, Steelers, Chiefs? The Bills could just as easily be the 7th best team in the AFC and fight for the last playoff spot.

White Out for Panthers game.

I also thought that this thread was about Chris White and him not being available for the Carolina game. I even thought to myself, well why wouldn't they just say he's out for week 1? And then I thought, does Chris White being hurt warrant its own thread? And then I quickly realized what it was all about. -
Worst SuperBowl Winning team
metzelaars_lives replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This year's Ravens team is in the conversation. But it's such a layered conversation because they beat the heavily favored Broncos and Patriots on the road. It was a fantastic playoff run. Are we talking worst regular season team? Because by the time they got to the Super Bowl, they were a hell of a football team. Same with the two Giants teams of the last decade. I would have to say the '01 Patriots are your winner. The '03 and '04 teams were great teams and were heavily favored in the Super Bowl, but the first team that beat the Rams was really flukey. That's my final answer. I'm out. -
Worst SuperBowl Winning team

Come on man. Along with the '85 Bears, the greatest defense of my lifetime. I know it's cliche to cite Dilfer as the worst Super Bowl winning QB but that team was awesome. They beat the crap out of a Giants team that just beat the crap out of the Culpepper/Moss/Carter Vikings the week before. They were not an offensive juggernaut (although they did have two hall of famers on offense- Jonathan Ogden and Shannon Sharpe- not to mention Jamal Lewis in his prime) but if a team had as good an offense as any in NFL history and an average defense, something tells me you wouldn't have mentioned them here. Uhhh the 16-0 Patriots? The 2007 Patriots were easily the most dominant regular season football team I've ever seen. -
Well that closes the book on their respective careers.

Man I can't wait for this to be over with. This is such a played out discussion, not only on here but amongst my friends as well. I don't know why the OP thinks they are only going to keep 6 WR's. I would wager that they keep 7 this year. And I certainly don't understand how he could think that Marcus Easley is not going to make this football team. FWIW, I don't care who the 7th WR is because he's not going to play anyway, but honestly, I think Marcus Easley may very well start the season as the #3 WR on the Bills. He was slated to be their #2 two years ago before he got hurt right before the season started. He's not going to get cut. And he's not just a simple possession WR with no ceiling. He is completely jacked and insanely fast. Really question how you've arrived at these conclusions. -

Ryan Fitzpatrick just threw for (give or take a couple) 25 TD's in 3 consecutive NFL seasons for the BUFFALO BILLS. With Stevie Johnson as far and away his #1 option and David Nelson and Donald Jones his #2 and #3 respectively. Really think about that for a second. Do you really think Kevin Kolb could ever put up those kind of numbers on such a dismal NFL offense? Again, Kolb will never beat out another QB and win a starting NFL job so we'll never know but I think we both know the answer. -

I don't disagree with anything you said but a) there's no way SJ is not cool with Fitz as a dude in so far as I'm sure he'd've been cool with him sticking around as a backup and b) yeah, Fitzpatrick is probably one of the most qualified backup QB's in the NFL and, as of 2013, Locker is definitely one of the worst starters and also the Titans are gonna suck. It all points to a QB controversy at some point this season. And also, you have yet to address my assertion that Fitzpatrick, despite several shortcomings, is still a better NFL QB than Kolb. I doubt we'll ever get to see though. My guess is that Manuel takes every snap this season. -
Really? Lynch has been in the league two years longer than Wood.

I'm curious to hear the context of Stevie's Dad's statement. I can't imagine the players are genuinely happy he's not on the team, at least in a backup role. I get the sense that he was extremely popular in the locker room and a bona fide leader. It's unlikely that Kolb will play very much this season if at all, but our fans will find out real quick that Ryan Fitzpatrick is a better NFL quarterback than Kevin Kolb if he does get a chance to play. And don't be shocked either if the fans in Tennessee get restless to see Fitzpatrick play this season. -

Didn't Washington keep Grossman as their 3rd stringer last year? I think the Bills will do exactly what Washington did last year and keep Kolb as their 3rd stringer. -

I can't believe you watched the game three times, that's insane. I agree with you on Pettine, I said the same thing to my buddy (after only one viewing, mind you). I would go: 1. Goodwin 2. Tuel 3. Butler 4. Easley 5. Spiller (nothing really surprising there- he's the second best RB in football) -

My consensus is that more than a few people on here do not know what the word consensus means. -
Just my two cents, but I was just talking to my friend about this and here is what I think: The old ones were like kids uniforms. They were like g-rated fun for the whole family cartoon uniforms. But at least they were keepin it real; they had pretty much the same jerseys since their inception (yes I know they had been tweaked several times but same general idea). The new uniforms are like for girls. They're like night club uniforms. It would be like if a cutting edge fashionista who knew nothing about football and designed runway outfits for models designed them. I feel like they should come out to house music now. Bottom line, they're friggin weak. All this being said, I like tradition and I know that if the Bills had neon pink instead of red, arrows like the Seahawks, a 3-D Buffalo coming out of their helmets with the faded/mixed colors that the Jaguars have, then a quarter of the board would say they like them and another quarter would say "I don't care if they wear pink as long as they win." But I happen to love uniforms and love the tradition that goes along with the old school ones.

I started to think the same thing the other day but let's see what it looks like after 4 preseason games. I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with 2 rookies and Brad Smith as my 3 QB's. I'm not huge on Kolb either but at least he has NFL experience. -

Am I the only one who thought that Da'Norris Searcy was a strong safety and was the leading candidate to start opposite Byrd? Rogers is low so that no one (most importantly Rogers himself) thinks that anything is being handed to him. It means nothing though. Don't worry, if he stays out of trouble and flashes potential, he'll easily make the 53-man roster. I honestly think they're going to keep 7 receivers this year. I love that Carrington looks to be taking on a starting role and agree he deserves it, but man, he really looked at home as a DT last year. That really looked like his natural position. I guess we'll see. I think the depth is fine. I think a lot of what I like is in the form of potential though. I think Zebrie Sanders and Chris Hairston could both be starters in this league sooner than later. I liked what I saw from David Snow last year as well. I think in a best case scenario, someone beats out Legursky and then you keep him for depth at center and/or guard. People are delusional. I'm sure if you look at any other team's depth chart, they have a bunch of former UDFA's as their 7th and 8th linemen just like us.
