  1. Dude that was not in the first quarter.
  2. He's a little before my time but I've seen cards of him and recognized him right away. Plus, his name always stood out to me.
  3. Aware of this. But so are the Seahawks. Nonetheless, after Sunday when every team has had their bye, they'll still be in the top 2-3 in both categories. Good enough?
  4. Nick Mike-Mayer. Classic.
  5. Also, if someone would've told me before the season that we'd be 17th in total offense and 16th in defense I would've taken it. Although that's about where I thought we'd be defensively. But like you said, I expect both those rankings to go up in the next few weeks. This is a pretty complete and well-rounded football team that just needs to solidify the QB position and learn how to win.
  6. the Bills currently lead the NFL in sacks (37) and are tied for the league lead in INT's with Seattle (16)?
  7. People always forget about that play. Horrendous call and without it we never win that game. In essence.
  8. I think Stevie Johnson is ranked right where he should be- a top 20-25 WR in the NFL. I don't know anyone who thinks he's overrated or underrated. I think prior to Calvin Johnson taking the title, Andre Johnson was considered the consensus best WR in football for at least a two year stretch. I know for one, he was the first WR off the board in most fantasy drafts about 3-5 years ago. His trouble has always been that he gets injured too much and is often times hobbled. But I'm not sure that anyone would say that he doesn't get the respect he deserves. Again, he was seen as the best WR in football- which he was at one time. Edit: he was a two-time AP first team NFL all pro (2008 & 2009) so I'd say he got his due when he was at the top of his game. Also, dude, did you say that Andre Johnson doesn't get the respect that Brandon Lloyd does? Is this crayonz??
  9. Wow. Your WR analysis is suspect at best. No disrespect, you seem like a nice guy. But after your whole "Goodwin and Graham are the same and anyone who thinks Goodwin is distinctly better doesn't know anything about football" rant coupled with this comment- it's starting to make me wonder.
  10. What? I'm not sure that's possible.
  11. I get what he's trying to say. Kind of. A lot of people on here are probably too young to remember when the Packers played half their games at Lambeau and half their games in Milwaukee when they sucked in the 80's. Those were still considered home games for them. The Toronto game is in our market and, again, would be a home game atmosphere if we gave them any reason whatsoever to be interested.
  12. Again... what?? You people are taking crazy pills. This is the biggest stretch of a point I've ever heard someone try to make on this website, save for old crayonz posts. We play a game in Toronto because it helps us financially. They are still in our market. You can laugh all you want but if the Bills were playing good football, we would have a pretty nice homefield advantage up there. Yet because we play a game up there, you, Homey D Clown, are arguing that that gives the NFL free reign to schedule six games vs. teams coming off extended rest when only one other team has more than three (and they only have four)? What if they scheduled us eight games against teams coming off byes? Nope, sorry, can't say anything- we play a game in Toronto. What if they scheduled us on a Thursday night following a Monday night and the other team was coming off a bye? Nope, Toronto. OK, what if they scheduled us at 1 o'clock at home and then at 4 o'clock in San Diego on the same day? Nope, sorry, Toronto.
  13. I don't get your point at all. So because we play a game in Toronto, we have no right to complain that we have 6 games against teams coming off extended rest vs. only one other team has more than 3? Please explain your logic.
  14. You misunderstood my point. I'm not saying that the Bills defense alone is good enough to win a Super Bowl. Of course it isn't. My point is that if the Saints or the Broncos had the Bills defense, they could win a Super Bowl. I live in Denver, the Broncos defense blows. Whereas even if the Bills had the 85 Bears defense, they could not win a Super Bowl with this offense. Look at the Colts defense when they won it and the Saints the year they won it. Nothing special. In fact, not as good as the 2013 Bills defense. For whatever that's worth.
  15. The Bills could literally win the Super Bowl with this defense. Like for instance, if the Broncos had the Bills' defense, they'd still be Super Bowl contenders. In fact, the Bills defense is better than the Broncos. Sure they could use a LB, but it's far from an emergency. As far as the offense, for years, the Bills were unable to have a QB put up real, actual NFL stat lines. Like a real stat line would be: 22-34, 287 yds, 2 TD's, 1 int. They didn't have that between Bledsoe and Fitzpatrick. Edwards would be 20-30, 139 yds, 1 TD, 1 int. Along with real, actual NFL QB stat lines comes the ability to hit your WR's down the field. Not bombs per se- Losman threw a fine deep ball- but 20 yard outs. Fitzpatrick could do that. What I fear with Manuel is that we are regressing to the checkdown/low yards per attempt/inability to hit WR's downfield type of QB play.
  16. This is such a tired response. FWIW, I disagree with you. Right now the Jets are leading the chase for that 6th wild card spot. Do you think we are that far behind the Jets in terms of talent? For that matter, do you think we are that far behind the Chiefs? We are a pretty well-rounded football team except for one thing: WE DON'T HAVE A QUARTERBACK. Which has nothing to do with Ralph Wilson or Russ Brandon or where we play. Hell if we would've signed an Alex Smith, I'm sure we'd be 6-4 or 7-3 right now. I guess what I'm trying to say is that in the AFC in 2013, making the playoffs is not that hard of a proposition. Winning a Super Bowl is another conversation.
  17. Let's let the season play out first but I certainly wouldn't rule it out at this point.
  18. No he can't. He may develop into as good a WR as SJ, but he's not there yet. SJ's jukes off the line to get open are some of the very best in the NFL. See: the play where he was wide open in the end zone last week.
  19. Gilmore was picked on a little today but that doesn't change the way I feel about the pick. Last week you were singing the praises of Aaron Williams and look how long it took him to develop. He was the consensus best player in camp all summer and was primed for a breakout season and the injury has undoubtedly set him back. But yes, he has struggled a little bit the last two weeks. Dude I will give Bill in NYC the Gimore thing today (although I didn't mention that earlier this year he was bashing Dareus), but are you really trying to resurrect the Goodwin vs. Graham argument?? Come on man, let it go already. Graham is going to get cut next season and Goodwin is an incredibly promising rookie. Where are the WR screens to get him the ball in space?
  20. Sheer genius. Literally almost had to call an ambulance because I'm laughing so hard over here.
  21. You wanna bet that 9-7 gets you the last wildcard spot in the AFC? I'm not saying it's gonna be the Bills, but none of these teams are going 10-6 this year. Traditionally this is the case but if you read the OP, the only team that has a fighter's chance of going 10-6 is the Jets and they'd need to go 5-2 the rest of the way to do it. I just don't see it happening.
  22. Because Bill from NYC continues to grasp at straws to defend his points each week. Example: I disagreed with both of Marrone's challenges last week against New Orleans. Yet this week, is there anyone on planet Earth, Bills fan or otherwise, that thought throwing the challenge flag on that play wasn't the right thing to do? It was so close to being a catch and it was such a big play that you had to at least give it a shot there. And honestly, I thought it wouldn't get overturned, but I thought it should have. And then Bill is criticizing them for kicking a field goal with 1:47 left in the first half, instead of, what? I don't know. Burning more time or something? And yeah, Bowe had 60+ yards against Gilmore in man coverage, the first week he got his cast off. Let's cut the guy. His posts just get more and more preposterous every week.
  23. Doing the same thing over and over again would have been handing it off to Fred Jackson up the middle for the third time in a row. And I hate that saying.
