  1. Nope. They had the Bulls, they have the Blackhawks. No way. Maybe like the Sacramento Kings but that's it.
  2. Agreed 100%. Honestly, I'd just assume New England win it again- how excited could their fans possibly get at this point? I do NOT want to see a new fan base get to experience what we haven't. I realized I felt this way when I was rooting for the Saints to beat the Colts and once they won, I actually kind of wished they'd lost. I could not possibly be happy for any other fan base in any sport at this point.
  3. Why do families of soldiers still act surprised when they get invited onto the field of a sporting event to accept an award on the soldier's behalf and then the dude shows up? There are certain questions that it's better to just stop asking.
  4. Although I agree with you (see the Monday night game last night), this is clearly a different team than in years past. Look at point differential, yardage, first downs- they're competitive finally- they just need to learn how to win. And a big giant wide receiver.
  5. Dumb thread. I'm rooting for the freaking Bills this weekend like every other weekend. The hating on the Pats thing around here is tiresome and makes Bills fans sound pathetic. I root for the Bills and if they don't win, it's hard for me to really get behind another team. Even when the Saints won the Super Bowl, I thought I could get behind them at first and then I realized, well s**t, there's another team that's won it and we still haven't. I'd almost just assume the same team won it every year so more cities wouldn't get to experience what we haven't. I don't even care if the Pats win the Super Bowl this year. Boston sports fans are so spoiled, they can't possibly even enjoy it anymore. After 2007, that city will NEVER get to experience ever again what it would be like if we were to ever win something. In a way, I almost feel bad for them.
  6. Not according to weather.com: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/Orchard+Park+NY+USNY1071:1:US Plus, as a very general rule, your low temperature is going to occur toward the end of the middle of the night between 5 and 6 AM. Not usually 1 PM. But who knows? Perhaps on Sunday we will witness a miracle never before seen in nature.
  7. Finally someone with a realistic take on Chandler. We would all love a Rob Gronkowski/Tony Gonzalez in his prime on our team but those guys are hard to find. Even in recent years when teams have spent first round picks on TE's, more often than no it has not panned out. Chandler is what he is- a middling NFL TE.
  8. Uhh I'm no meteorologist but something doesn't add up here. As of today it is calling for rain. Which sucks, I'm coming home for the game and I've been chasing the picturesque snow game ever since New Orleans '89. For phish fans, it's like chasing a Forbin's.
  9. 1. TJ Graham 2. Legursky 3. Manuel 4. Bradham/Moats Chandler is a middling NFL tight end. Manuel right now is one of the 5 worst starting QB's in the NFL by any standard.
  10. It was definitely Aaron Williams. What did you think it was TJ Graham? Was TJ Graham open all day yesterday and Manuel just couldn't find him?
  11. I wonder what the Cowboys fan site's version of Bill from NYC will say about Jason Garrett today in his review of the game...
  12. My excitement for next season will have nothing to do whatsoever with what our record ends being this season. I've officially entered "whatever, the worse they finish, the better the draft pick" mode for 2013. What else is new. And in fact, I'll probably be more excited with their higher draft pick than I would be about their crappy 14th overall pick (were they to win out) come May anyway.
  13. They were still alive toward the end of '06. I remember going to the Tennessee game and they were still alive in the wild card chase. But alas, Robert Royal didn't bother getting his feet in bounds and the Bills lost. Not to mention, Vince Young was INSANE that year (and that game in particular), something that everyone seems to forget about. Dude, almost every Canadian feels this way. Ask one the next time you're at a Bills game. They love coming down there.
  14. Not only was it an excellent game plan but it was a masterful job of controlling the clock in the second half. They made sure to establish a 2 TD lead and then they just wore them down. Also, once they had that 2 TD lead, they milked the play clock down to 1 second every play, which seems like a no-brainer to me, but you rarely see teams do this. Their primary objective was keeping Manning off the field and it worked. I would add that a) the Broncos' defense is in BIG trouble right now and b) they were really missing Welker last night. They are a different offense altogether without him.
  15. CB is not a pressing need. Gilmore will be just fine, McKelvin has shown that if nothing else he's worthy of being a starter and between Brooks and Robey, they have decent depth there. Not to say I wouldn't take a flier on a guy in the 5th round but drafting a QB in the first two rounds would be idiotic. Our defense is pretty decent. We need to go WR-TE or very possibly QB in some order with the first 3 picks. And I think they will.
  16. At this point I don't even know if you're serious. The flag was definitely on Eric Wood.
  17. OK. How much do you wanna bet? For the record, I have the Bills not taking a 5'11" CB in the first round.
  18. ?? Not sure exactly how Cle @ NYJ or Ten @ Jax- two games involving teams who are not making the playoffs would trump a game involving a team that very well could make the playoffs but OK. Not that any of this matters.
  19. I!m not really sure about this thread.
  20. I don't disagree with you- I tend to agree with you more than most posters. All I'm saying is that although Antonio Brown is having a nice season statistically, no one would take him over Vincent Jackson. The guys you want are the big guys who when you see one-on-one your eyes light up and throw them the ball even if all you can get off is a wounded duck like Glennon on Sunday.
  21. Uhh I don't know that Mike Wallace is a top 30 WR in this league but OK. As far the Jeffery-Hardy comparison I was thinking the same exact thing last night. Both fell a little bit because of character issues if I'm not mistaken? Jeffery had better production in college. But either way, I don't blame the front office for every pick; it is not an exact science. I LOVED the James Hardy pick at the time. It was the type of pick the Bills don't normally make. What I hate are the "cute" picks. Oh, a guy from Buffalo has already fallen in the draft and we need a TE in the biggest way- let's take a DT from a small school projected to go in the 3rd round. That is a "cute" pick. But I digress. EDIT: And honestly, none of your WR's listed are top 10 WR's in the NFL. Who on here wouldn't take Jeffery, Vincent Jackson, Julio Jones, Josh Gordon et al over any of those guys.
  22. Dude Allen Robinson is not going to last until the 3rd round.
  23. Save for the fact that Rian Lindell wasn't kicking the ball off for them.
