  1. One by one the people on here who were questioning the move are fading into oblivion, save for Bills fan 4 ever of course. He's like your crazy uncle at Thanksgiving this year who will still be talking about Benghazi. Let's hope that trend continues after Sunday.
  2. Furthermore, if you polled Browns fans, I'm sure they would much rather have Sammy Watkins at this point than that CB from Oklahoma St who's not even playing and an extra pick next year. Watkins was as close to a bird in the hand as just about any WR prospect that's come out in quite some time. EDIT: saw Gilbert had a better week last week but nevertheless.
  3. Thread ender, ready: if you had two first round draft picks back-to-back years and one was Sammy Watkins, who I would be shocked is not a top 5 receiver in the NFL next season, and the other was a complete dud, would you take it? Exactly.
  4. Listen dude, I don't love Kyle Orton. He is a mediocre, middling at best starting NFL QB. But he is a legitimate starting QB. Manuel was not. It's that simple. His first two starts were against excellent defenses. Against Minnesota, if Woods and Hogan both don't fumble in Minnesota territory, we win that game with more room to spare, our point total is more impressive and he doesn't have to conduct that game winning drive, which I can assure you, Manuel does not complete. Not to mention, the dude just showed up here and is still learning the offense. And above all else, you are constantly changing your tune. Last week, you're saying "I don't care about their stats (which have you looked at by the way? How is Orton's completion % ten points higher than EJ's when he is whizzing balls downfield to wide receivers and Manuel was making Trent Edwards look like Brett Favre), all I care about is wins. They're both .500." Now that Orton is 2-1, it's, "look at their sack totals." Hence, yes, you are the worst.
  5. Uggh you are the worst. Yes, at the qb position he has been a monumental improvement. That is, if you believe the forward pass is an integral part of the game in 2014. I think the offensive line play has steadily regressed the last few weeks as well. And why can't you wrap your head around the concept that if you throw the ball downfield it results in interceptions from time to time. EJ threw 3 in 4 games, Orton 3 in 3. Considering Manuel's propensity to check down I'm surprised he even threw 3. If I was the bills qb on Sunday and my only task was to not turn the ball over, I could probably do it. That doesn't mean I give the bills a better chance to win than Kyle Orton. Why do I even bother. Until next time, when I stupidly respond to one of your predictably dumb posts in another thread.
  6. I don't know, Manuel only got to play in 14 games. Not even a full season. If we continued to let him develop for another season or two, who knows? Perhaps he could've been the next Andrew Luck. He's certainly got all the physical tools. Alas, we'll never know. Just kidding. But sadly, some of you actually feel that way.
  7. You are always the first one to point out when someone starts a thread involving a topic that may have already been discussed somewhere in another thread. For that I commend you. Keep up the good work!
  8. Exactly. I thought the same thing. Conversely, how many TD's do we have from more than 20 yards out? Mike Williams against Houston, Watkins last week- that's it, right?
  9. Yes you are. You said that the Bills were giving up 80 YPG on the ground before the Vikings game. They were giving up 67; they are giving up 80 now. It is not a big deal but honestly every time you try and make a point citing numbers, you are always wrong. I have continued to say on this website that Orton is good for one bad pick a game and is a statue in the pocket. That is why he is a journeyman QB. He is not a deity. But anyone who doesn't believe our offense isn't markedly more efficient with Orton in there simply doesn't understand the game of football and/or is trying to justify to themselves their stance of questioning the QB switch back when it happened. And furthermore, he has thrown three picks and lost two fumbles in three games. Why the need to predict that he will all of a sudden throw more than one pick against a secondary that only has one pick on the entire season? Just admit that you are incapable of being objective about the Bills' QB situation.
  10. No of course not. The lack of run defense against a lackluster running attack was alarming. I'm just saying that every time you quote numbers you're wrong.
  11. you're getting way too predictable. Defend ej, find a way to criticize orton, tell us how the bills defense actually isn't that good. We get it. You need some new material man. And you botch stats just about every time you cite one. The Bills defense is now allowing 80 YPG. Prior to the Minnesota game they were allowing a league best 67. They're now a miserable 4th in the league against the run.
  12. Don't disagree with any of those in terms of where they are perceived and what their respective legacies look to be except Peters. Also, what's the deal with your avatar? Is that Reese Witherspoon or something? And if so, why?
  13. Uhh you mean white guys?
  14. So 13 : 7 is his TD to TO ratio, which isn't even 2 : 1. He must not be very good, according to your own post.
  15. With all the over-officiating in the NFL and endless rules that no one can keep track of, you'd think they would institute a rule where you can review and see if a team makes a clear recovery before the scrum. Whatever, St. Louis still would've covered even if Seattle scored there.
  16. Yeah you're gonna throw a pick or two when you attempt passes downfield. That's the nature of the game. I'm OK with Orton's one bad pick a game if it means he can actually complete passes to wide receivers ala yesterday.
  17. I take it all back. That's pretty cool that you were able to get in.
  18. No, a spike is an incomplete pass.
  19. You haven't started questioning this a long time ago? In the last week alone on here, you got folks saying that Robert Woods isn't physical enough (say what you want about the guy but he's extremely tough), that our defense actually sucks, that EJ Manuel still gives us a better chance to win than Kyle Orton and of course, the obligatory "if you see people catch passes on Gilmore then he sucks but if you don't notice him for an entire game he also sucks" argument.
  20. I'm not so sure our secondary blows. We had one horrendous half against the best QB to ever play the game. Rivers completed a lot of key third downs. Other than that, what game are you looking at and saying that our secondary got picked apart?
  21. I don't know who has a higher wonderlic score but Schwartz has certainly made us a better defense. We have essentially kept the sack production and gone from a laughingstock of a run defense to an elite run defense. Why, do you have an issue with Schwartz's defense through six games?
  22. I agree about that particular play- there is no explanation for it and it is football 101. That being said, I feel that since Marrone took over, there have been far fewer "are you absolutely f'n kidding me" head scratchers than there were under the last several regimes. I feel like if you watched any other team as closely as you watch the Bills, once or twice a season every team makes egregious coaching blunders, with the exception of maybe a select few.
  23. This dude is easily my favorite poster. It's not even close.
  24. And still people talk about mid round draft picks like they're extremely valuable and always seem to forget what mid round draft picks actually bring. Example: we got Mike Williams for what, a 6th? Let's say they turn around and get a 6th back for him. Now go look up the Bills' last 20 6th round draft picks. Even if Spiller gets you a 4th. Great. You might get the next Derek Fine or Shawn Nelson in next year's draft. I'd rather lose Spiller in free agency, not have an extra 4th round pick and bank on him making a few plays this season that could help us win some games.
