  1. Correct. Or the most likely scenario: Baltimore 2-0, Pittsburgh 2-0 and Cincinnati 0-2: we're in.
  2. 95% of the Packers fans at the game yesterday were Canadians who picked the Packers as their team growing up as opposed to Packers fans who made the trip from Wisconsin. It's the same as every Bills home game. If you want to get an idea as to what real Packers fans are like you have to go to Lambeau. They are the best fans in the league, period.
  3. Here's what I'll say: a) Orton is not a longterm answer. b) Orton is as good of a backup QB as you could possibly hope for. c) Orton is a top 32 QB in the world so a guy like him is going to keep getting his shots- he'll always be better than what some teams have but he'll never really be seen as a longterm solution. d) I think one thing that Bills fans are kind of naïve about is that they'll look at Orton's stats and say "yeah, well, but..." but then they'll take another QB with nearly identical stats and blindly talk about how they're obviously a better QB even though they don't watch that other QB play every game, when that other QB frustrates their fanbase just as much as a guy like Orton frustrates us. The truth of the matter is that Orton is what his stats say he is and so is every other QB.
  4. I would rather concede the division to the Pats, root for a Broncos loss so that the Pats have nothing to play for in week 17 and deny the Dolphins 10 wins because you are right, the Dolphins are winning their last two. But again, I really only care about the Bills winning tomorrow. If they win, they will still be alive regardless. Whatever strunz, if they win tomorrow they're still alive. That's it. And even if they don't make the playoffs, if they are still alive going into week 17 and that game matters, that would be nice. They're 5 point underdgos tomorrow, it's not inconceivable that they could win. Especially if you happened to see what Green Bay's defense looked like on Monday night.
  5. Yes, more needs to be said. For starters, what's your point?
  6. What? You are ill-informed my friend. We want the patriots to win that game for multiple reasons. Let's just worry about the bills. If they win this week they are very much alive. If they lose they're done.
  7. I thought that sounded a bit weird myself.
  8. You and your obsession over offensive lines. Isn't their offensive line playing a lot better this year?
  9. Aaron Rodgers is playing at a clip as well as just about any QB to ever play the game. Fair. But part of a legacy is sustaining that greatness. What if all of a sudden he started to suck next year. Or he had a career-altering injury. Not likely but if so, that affects his all-time status. Mike Bossy played at a greater clip for ten years than guys like Mark Messier, Steve Yzerman, etc. ever played. But he is not considered an all-time greater player. In baseball there are even more extreme examples. Dale Murphy won two consecutive MVP's. How about Bernard King in the NBA?? Circling back to football, Jamaal Lewis and Terrell Davis had seasons greater than Emmitt Smith ever had. I could go on and on. Let's see if he can do this for a few more years and, like I said earlier, pass Jon Kitna on the all-time passing yardage list before we start throwing around these superlatives.
  10. Ya know who's had a pretty damn good season? Stephon Gilmore.
  11. Dareus, Mario, Kyle and Hughes will all make the Pro Bowl once people decline the invitation and bow out, etc. What I'm more concerned about is do we get an AP first team All-Pro, which without looking, my guess is the last time we've had one is who? Jason Peters? Brian Moorman? I'm thinking Dareus and Mario could both be first team All-Pro. Don't really care about some silly popularity contest, which is only 1/3 of what they count to see who gets in the game anyway.
  12. I can honestly say that I've never heard anyone associated with the NFL throw someone else associated with the NFL under the bus that badly. And Fletcher always seemed like such a nice guy. In this era of Peyton Manning-like politico-don't say-anything of any substance type speak- certainly not anything to offend another team or player- that we live in, this is unheard of. He must have a personal grudge with the guy.
  13. As someone who lives here, went to the game yesterday and hates the Broncos and their fans more than the Patriots, I can assure you that a) while it's true that transplants to the Rocky Mountain region are more physically active than natives to the region and that the people who root for the Broncos are virtually all natives, you will still see more overweight people in any mall in Buffalo at any given time than were in that entire stadium yesterday and b) there were more people of Hispanic descent at that game yesterday than there have ever been any non-white people at any home Bills game in the history of the franchise. For what it's worth.
  14. I never ever blame the refs, it's a losers' mentality but man this game was frustrating. Just absolutely giant field position affecting, momentum killing calls on such trivial little happens-every-play type of stuff- this play being the prime example. And then the Corey Graham call- does anyone know what he did in retaliation for getting chop blocked that warranted that penalty? I guess I've just kind of come to terms with the fact that we would've lost anyway but man this game left a sour taste in my mouth.
  15. I'm surprised this thread's made it this far without someone telling me some variation of "you gotta like Peyton Manning." Honestly I can't stand the dude. I'm way cooler with Brady than Manning.
  16. Hopefully not get my ass kicked by a bunch of pissed off Broncos fans as I will undoubtedly have been very obnoxious throughout the game if the Bills are actually still in it by the fourth quarter. Dude that'll be a sick show, you should go. I've stated so many times on here that after GNR, Cinderella is the best band from that era/genre. I will definitely be cranking Take Me Back and Gypsy Road on Sunday in the parking lot!
  17. Exactly. And then we address these needs and then next year we're in week 14 an you're talking about the following season. Let's just enjoy the moment.
  18. a) so clever with the "IN" there- I'll tell ya that still hasn't gotten old yet- and b) what in the world is your signature about. I thought about it for a minute and I have no idea who you are supporting or what point you are trying to make. And c) I don't understand your post either.
  19. Oh this is one of those threads where people mention obscure quarterbacks from yesteryear. Always hysterical. Dave Archer.
  20. Yeah I looked that game up before I posted. There was nothing miraculous about it.
  21. I do not remember a Monday Night Miracle against the Broncos unless it was before my time. If you are alluding to the incredible comeback win in 1990, that game was played on Sunday at 1 EST.
  22. I just find it ironic that you are so worried about threads being cluttered but then you clutter threads by talking about how the topic has been covered in other threads, which inevitably leads to bickering like this, which is the very definition of clutter in a thread. And also, do you remember that?
  23. Why do you care so much? And also, do you remember when you lambasted me for ranking Fitzpatrick just ahead of EJ Manuel on my list of NFL starting QB's as if I had said the sky was green? Let's start a new thread about that.
  24. You are thinking of the opener in 2006- the game where they sacked Brady and scored a TD on the first play from scrimmage (Fletcher and Spikes were involved I believe) and were in it the whole game but Losman took a bad sack in the end zone for a safety that sealed their fate. Losman's first game was the season opener at home against in Houston in 2005. Also, there are so many d-bag Bills fans. Go out in Miami the night before a Bills-Dolphins game and see how many d-bag 20-something Bills fans walk by and do the stupid "ay-ay-ay-ay" thing. Let alone, the main lot about a half hour before kickoff. Bills fans are loyal and I'm a Bills fan til I die but they are behind Packers and Chiefs fans in nearly every facet of fandom- most notably class. And please don't argue with me unless you've been to Lambeau and Arrowhead. I'm not arguing in favor of Pats fans, I'm just saying people are throwing around "Pats fans are d-bags" pretty liberally on here when we have plenty of our own.
  25. More importantly- and I've wondered this for quite some time- why is your screen name Estelle Getty and then your avatar a picture of a woman who is not Estelle Getty?
