  1. sweet although it still makes me nervous that the iggles would just outright release their best WR over this gang thing. If the Bills were truly interested in trading up for Sammy Wakins because they think the need for a top WR is their biggest concern. Then one way or the other...find a way to get Watkins! Then also, Watkins doesn't have the baggage, and like Stevie, he actually wants to be a Buffalo Bill. Which is something this team should never take lightly. Watkins over Jackson any day.
  2. I love that article, and didn't realize Wilson made those statements. Gotta love his passion for the game, and for his team. “But, at 80, I do know I don’t need pompous lectures from the Commissioner and I feet that the $50,000 is not only unwarranted, but punitive in nature. The next time he may ask me to sit in the corner.”
  3. Then looking at NFL.coms draft rumors, the bills have shown marked interest in WR Sammy Watkins & TE Eric Ebron. "March 17: Watkins grew up a Bills fan Watkins was on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft" and admitted that his favorite team growing up was the Bills. Wide receiver is among the Bills' top draft needs, according to NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah, who writes, "If Sammy Watkins would somehow fall to No. 9, it would be difficult for Buffalo to pass." Perhaps Kirby Jackson is correct when he states that he thinks the Bills have a strong interest in Watkins. It could also be that the Rams have a strong interest in Watkins, and so the only way the bills could draft the kid is to trade up to that #1 overall. "March 25: Bills scout witnesses UNC's pro day A scout from the tight end-needy Bills was among the representatives on hand for North Carolina's pro day, where Ebron worked out and solidified his first-round draft status, according to NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000324489/article/2014-nfl-draft-rumors-afc-east
  4. Texas fans rode Charlie Casserly out of town with hate for not picking Vince Young, and going with Super Mario. Shoot, most of them thought Reggie Bush was even a better pick back then. He did after all resign, rather then being fired. I can't imagine what the fans will do this time should the Texans pass on Johnny football. Probably why the Texans are talking trading out of that pick, so they don't need to face the RN hostile fans from their decision. Especially should they not want Manziel with that #1 overall. I don't see them drafting Bortles, and if they do trade back then they must not think that much of Clowney. Another interesting rumor, "UA quarterback AJ McCarron threw for scouts and went through a few drills, though he didn't run the 40 again (he did so at the combine). A member of the Houston Texans' scouting contingent appeared to be paying especially close attention to McCarron." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000333287/article/eagles-coach-chip-kelly-among-top-names-at-tide-pro-day?campaign=Twitter_nfl_cb Usually when there is smoke, there is fire....or not.
  5. I don't think Evans will be gone by #9, and even if he is gone there is always Ebron. The Bills are sitting in an almost can't miss spot right where they are, and if they find out that when their turn comes there isn't anyone they want. Then they trade back and pick up more picks, as this draft is supposedly loaded with OT's & WR's. I can't see this FO giving away several future picks unless its for a QB they think will be the "one".
  6. Did you click the links, and actually read the articles...i think not. Go read them and get back to us....
  7. While I agree that the O line needs some upgrading at RT, I just don't see any team trading multiple #1 picks to get a OT. No offense but it makes no sense to trade up with Houston for Robinson at all. It would be easier, and less costly to trade up with the Rams, as the Bills have dealt with them last year in the draft in their trade back, Besides, lots of site have Robinson & Matthews about equal, with the latter being more pro ready. For that matter Lewan isn't that far behind either of those other top OT's, and the Bills actually could sit at #9 and grab him. All this talk of trading up is just that, talk.
  8. Great site you started here SDS, as I enjoy reading and posting here. Thank you. Shifting gears, I'm very glad two local billionaires are concerned in keeping the team in Buffalo. Kudos to Mr Wilson for the new lease or otherwise we would all be losing sleep, hair worrying about the team moving sooner, rather then later. What a great man.
  9. Four teams have already reached out to Jackson -49ers-Seahawks-Jets, and the latest are the Panthers http://www.rotoworld.com/sports/nfl/football?r=1 If Buffalo is truly thinking of trading up to draft Sammy Watkins. They might be inclined to pick up DeSean Jackson
  10. I notice that Brandon used the term "were all in" when the Bills signed Mike Pettine. Meaning Brandon, Whaley, and Marrone all went down to interview the man. http://www.buffalonews.com/20130201/brandon_bills_were_all_in_on_pettine.html Recently Whaley used that same phrase to to say the Bills were " all in" on EJ, and they had Thad, Dennis Dixon, and Tuel. "Whaley said the Bills never inquired about Michael Vickbefore he landed with the New York Jets and don't plan to add a veteran who would threaten to steal snaps from Manuel." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000336423/article/doug-whaley-buffalo-bills-all-in-with-ej-manuel Now, it could just be a coincidence of phrasing, or it could really mean the Bills are 100% behind EJ. Then later Doug Marrone said that the team could go in any direction at QB...interesting stuff. If they want an elite WR then sign DeSean Jackson, and forget the trading up stuff. Clowney...Manziel... Watkins?
  11. wow, more info from the NFL network on this http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000337770/article/houston-texans-reportedly-trying-to-trade-no-1-picketwork on this.
  12. gitten jiggy wit it.. http://www.tmz.com/2014/01/26/desean-jackson-porn-star-michelle-maylene
  13. Yikes!!! crip gang signs.... "DeSean Jackson put up a monster first half against the Washington Redskins on “Monday Night Football,” and he represented his hometown crew quite well in the game. In fact, Jackson was seen throwing up a Crips gang sign on Redskins defensive back DeAngelo Hallafter catching a pass in the second quarter." http://larrybrownsports.com/football/desean-jackson-crips-gang-sign-deangelo-hall/203386 No wonder the Eagles tried in vein to trade him, and what team would be foolish enough pick him up at this point?
  14. On second thought It could be for Clowney...who knows what Whaley / Brandon are thinking. Found another link : http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-rumors/2014/3/28/5557236/nfl-draft-rumors-2014-buffalo-bills-trade-up-texans "We still have well over a month before the start of the 2014 NFL Draft, and oh hey look, the Bills might want to trade up to No. 1 overall for a quarterback?!"
  15. EJ had the better O line, and that's not saying much. Although I doubt he will next year Talleywhacker and the Phins started the season 3-0, and then fell completely apart when their LT quit on them. The whacker was hit more the Bills QB's 58 sacks / 100 hits on Mr Talley. Now that they have a GM with a brain the Phins already signed Brandon Albert to start at LT, and I can see them spending lots of draft picks to bolster that line. Pickens won't be so easy this year. just my 2 cents. Anyway, Johnny Football...YEAH!
  16. The article states that the Texans have been pushing hard to trade outta that #1 spot to obtain extra picks. You can find a link here: http://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/teams/buffalo_bills/32 The ONLY player you give away next years first and second round pick for is a QB. Not a DE, not a LBer, not a WR, and never for an O lineman (according to most of fans in this site that agree with the teams thinking, that you can find good O linemen in dumpsters). Anything but a QB is nucken futs, IMO I'm thinking Johnny Football to Buffalo. In all reality I think the Bills will trade back this year.
  17. While I agree with the idea of letting loose the purse strings, and acquiring certain players for the O line / receiving corps in free agency, and draft. I highly doubt it will happen with the status quo, as look who is still in running this team.
  18. Naa, he isn't squeaky clean, and very few prospects have no skeletons. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/9542030/nfl-eye-johnny-manziel-wrong-reasons I think the Texans would be crazy to pass on him tho, considering their noted lack of franchise QB. Flip a coin over Clowney & Manziel.
  19. This kid isn't JaMarcus, as he doesn't have addictions or red flags afaik. With Russell it was all about his arm, and arms alone don't win games. It takes hard work, guts, and determination along with talent. All of which Johnny football has, and is the real deal IMO.
  20. Nobody really knows what will happen in the draft except the teams doing the drafting. My speculation is since the kid is determined to be a winner, and can make plays almost on his own. That some team will grab him in the top 8 spots, and I gotta wonder if Nix were still in charge, is he would draft the guy should he fall to #9. Gonna be a very interesting draft this year, as so much talent, and so deep in WR, OT, and even QB.
  21. I concur. kudos to Mr Wilson for selling to the highest bidder to make his family happy, and for the lease to keep Bills fans happy for some years to come
  22. It has been a tough month for Buffalo fans for sure, and even tougher for the Kelly & Wilson family. Hoping things brighten up, and Kelly recovers 100%.
  23. Yep, and here is the link http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-path-to-the-draft/0ap2000000337001/Mayock-Ebron-is-a-top-10-talent
