You do realize that there are 64 starting OT's in the league. 10th or 12 is pretty freaking good, and darn near elite. If the team was winning the that grade could easily get them in the PB. Even Levitre could have gotten a PB berth on a winning team. The Bills have OG's that wouldn't even start on winning teams.

I disagree with that assessment. Unfortunately pro bowl selections tend to go to players on teams that win games. Eric Wood has played at a pro bowl level in 2011-12, and Cordy Glenn could have been voted in last year. Those two are very good players. Now Henderson at RT has the talent to be elite, and could see a PB if he continues to develop and play like he has. Its the OG position that currently has serious issues. 5th round pick Cyril Richardson could eventually develop into a viable OG. Until then the starters and backups stink IMO

After 100 Votes it Is Yes for Incognito

Its not just one preseason game. Haven't you been watching him the last few years? While he plays decently at times, he tends to fall on his face against the good teams. Who needs a player who will grade in the red against the Patriots every time they play. Huge difference between a player you try and get by with, and someone who is a good talent. While I don't condone anything the guy has done in terms of his behavior. I just know that you can't teach talent, and he has more then any OG currently on the roster. The ONLY reason I'd even give the guy a chance is because I know this current staff is on their last chance, and If they don't win NOW, they are gone. Like I stated in my previous post. There still is a chance to trade for 49er holdout Alex Boone who started the last 32 games at OG for the Niners. He also grades better then any of the current Bills players on the roster. I'd just like to see someone better then who they have. There is more truth in that then a lot here realize. What actually caused Martin to quit the team was when he started to sit down for dinner at the O linemen's table, and the rest of the O line players ALL got up and left. Martin played poorly at RT, and the Dolphins ex GM Ireland had a brainfart to move Martin to LT where he was incredibly bad. None of the Dolphin O line players liked Martin, they thought he was overpaid, and shouldn't be a starter. He was getting tallywhacker killed. I realize that this is irrelevant at this point. "It's a major hurdle cleared by Incognito to make a return to the field. He now needs a team to take a shot on him. Incognito, 31, is still an above-average blocker; he just has to keep a level head. The Bucs brought him in for a visit on Monday. There are reportedly three-to-five teams interested in Incognito's services. He's expected to sign with a club before the end of the week. Aug 25 - 8:11 PM" http://www.rotoworld...ichie-incognito EDIT*Just a note. The Buccaneers saw their O line getting crushed by the Bills D line, and then promptly went and traded for 6 time pro bowl OG Logan Mankins. http://www.foxsports...-to-bucs-082614 -
Cutler annoyed with Bills’ signing of QB Jordan Palmer

Yeah they did, and I gotta wonder if the Bears made the right call on letting Josh McCown leave for Tampa. -
I loved the guy last year, as another under the radar Chip Kelly type. Then all the miscues, mistakes, and in particular the mishandling of the replacement for LG Andy Levitre. Marrone was a supposed O line guru! Just like Chan Gailey was a supposed QB guru. Quite frankly I'm sick of supposed hires, and want a coaching staff that can field a winning team. I don't envision a winning season with this staff. Just a fans opinion.

While I was in the camp of not bringing in this guy, and stated many reasons for it. I've since changed my mind as I watched Pears get owned at RG by the Bucs, and graded (-4.2). Even the rookies at LG Richardson, and RT Henderson graded better then he did! Then LG Chris Williams who has been out with a back injury graded a horrid (-21.8) last year with the Rams, and was graded as the weak link on that St Louis line. Richie Incognito graded slightly better then Andy Levitre did at OG (+17.3), and would be an instant improvement at OG over any of the current players on the roster. I want to see the team win the line of scrimmage battle every game, and more importantly win games. I just don't see it with the current players. Either Incognito or trade the 49ers for holdout OG Alex Boone, who would also be an upgrade over any of the current guards on the team. -
Bears Fans' Week 1 Breakdown
thewildrabbit replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He will change his opinion about the Bills D line. Cutler went 5-6 last year, and the Bears were just destroyed by the Seahawks D. Cutler played about as well as EJ. The Bills have a shot if they can get it together before the opener -
If we could go back to the draft
thewildrabbit replied to jletha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A darn shame we can't go back and hire different HC'es, scouting staffs, drafts. We are stuck with what happened over the last 14 years. Lets hope new ownership brings a new era to the Buffalo Bills -

Jeez, all the Bills need do is watch that Seahawks game tape to see how that Hawks D destroyed that Bears offense. Cutler looked worse the EJ. -
While I can understand the FO for not wanting another Chicago connection, Jauron cough, cough! and Lovie would have wanted to bring most of his old expensive coaching staff with him to Buffalo. The Bills FO wanted to give Marrone a chance, as he was getting a lot of talk in the media. Anyway, yea I agree. Just think what Lovie would have done with the talent on that Bills D

and in that game he was under constant duress along with virtually no run game. He got a hot hand and carried the team. The thing is you can't expect a young QB to do that every game!! The running game has got to work in order for this kid to build confidence, game after game. Fans forget that when things start to go wrong a QB starts to lose confidence and starts to become more careful with the ball, and that is just the way it is. Philip Rivers comes to mind as a QB who was beaten down by a bad line, and forced to try and shoulder the team every game. Summery, that Its a task difficult even for experienced QB's. Matt Ryan and last years Falcons really stand out where that is true. Gerald McCoy ring any bells? That Bucs D line handed the Bills O line their proverbial rear ends in last years game, and that was with a lame duck HC and a not so gifted DC. Also with a 20th ranked defense. This year the Buc's * have Lovie Smith as HC, and Leslie Frasier as DC. Even tho the game planning was probably vanilla on the Buc's side, I'd say that defense will be a top 10 unit this season. There are solid reasons why EJ looked so uncomfortable, and didn't play well in that game, and many just choose to ignore most of them. Focusing on the QB and giving him all the blame happens a lot! BTW, Thanks for posting this OP

When Pears-Williams gets their a33es handed to them a few times, and it results in more holding calls, sacks, broken run plays and overall bad play. Then most of the fans will be complaining why didn't we fix the OG position. I have no faith that Marrone knows what he is doing after allowing Chris Williams to be signed, and keeping Legursky on the team. Pears to RG is a desperation move, and a band aid that will come off the very first good team the bills play.
