  1. He doesn't care, as long as the cash keeps flowing into his wallet... No changes will be made, that pathetic game was a sellout. As long as the Bills continue to sell out every game and the eternally optimistic keep showing up, why should he care. History has shown he only makes a change when he absolutely has to. Don't feel bad guys if you bought season tickets, even the NFL schedulers had the wool pulled over their eyes and put the Bills at 4 pm for several early season games, most likely because of TO.
  2. The Browns completed only TWO passes the entire game and still won 6-3 GO BILLS!!!
  3. I can see it now, Jauron is retained.... DB DB S S DE
  4. I've said it before, I'll say it again... as bad as the Bills look to the fans, as long as RW keeps hearing the cha ching of the cash register and games keep selling out, merchandise keeps moving, he won't make a coaching change. Lets face it, we don't have an owner like the Bronco's Pat Bowlen who wants to win and is committed to his team making the payoffs every year or else, we have Scrooge.
  5. I can see why RW would wait until after the season, no coach on the team is worthy of even being named interim head coach. Special teams sucks right now, Roscoe Parrish sucks Defense sucks right now, 31 carries and 117 yards for Lewis- the wind stopped the Browns passing game. The ONLY old timer head coach I'd trust to get this team off its back is Marty... I'd also hire Carlie Casserly as president and let him find the talent for the team. Looking at Indy and the change from the Tampax 2 and they fired the DC and changed the defense, they are much better defensively this year then in years past, and Bob Sanders isn't playing. So there is light at the end of the tunnel, just gotta dump the current coaches.
  6. Trent had time to throw on many occasions during the Cleveland game and still stunk up the place. The coaching stinks, the playing stinks, the front office stinks for not replacing Jason Peters after they traded away the premier left tackle. Every team in the top ten of last years draft wanted to trade out of that pick to save money, the Bills had the chance to move up with extra picks to grab a tackle. If your a season ticket holder and your not outraged about the game against the Cleveland Browns, then by all means keep going to games, keep buying merchandise and food, keep promoting an inferior product and things will never change.
  7. You guys just don't get, maybe you never will...probably don't recall the 1984-85 seasons, back to back 2-14 season's. The Bills losing to the Dolphins for the entire decade of the 70's, not one win against Miami for 10 years. RW will not make a change until he stop's hearing the "cha Ching" of the cash register. To the eternally optimistic people who keep buying season and game tickets because they think some miracle will occur, hope you got your moneys worth from that Cleveland game.
  8. What is truly sad, even if the Bills lose this game and continue to lose. RW will not fire Jaron until the fans stop buying tickets.
  9. ROFL...
  10. This is why I no longer have season tickets and refuse to purchase tickets, the owner wants to hire low cost coaches and put an inferior product on the field, then I choose to not support the team, you can call me a bandwagon fan, I don't care. If the Bills are playing badly on TV I just watch a different game. I truly feel sorry for the suckers who bought into the no huddle and TO hype and purchased season tickets. I even tried to warn my son about season tickets this year,to no avail. It took Jauron 4 years to realize it all starts with the offensive line, if he had started rebuilding it through the draft when he first was hired, the Bills would have been playoff bound last season. Instead he keeps trying to find another Ronnie Lott every year.
  11. The Buffalo Bills offensive passing system stinks, this team lacks an offensive identity and hasn't had one since Ted Marchibroda and the K-gun / no huddle. A head coach like Jon Gruden or Mike Shanahan would being the west coast offense with them and install it, the offense would then change dramatically for the better. After watching that half azzed pick six that Edwards threw against against the Dolphins I've come to realize that the offense needs a complete overhaul, someone needs to take the current playbook and trash can it.
  12. Amen I suppose everyone just thinks that all offensive schemes are exactly the same and simply don't understand why their QB isn't making plays. The packers run a west coast offense, and they have a much better receiving corps, particularly the tight ends. As bad as Green Bays O line is, the Bills is worse. The Bills have two OT's starting that wouldn't even make most other teams rosters. Don't forget the Bills signed a player from the Packers practice squad. Let's face it, the 09 Bills are not a good football team and will continue to fail until this current coaching staff changes.
  13. If the Redskins owner hears of any teams entering into contract talks with Bill Cowher, I'm pretty certain he will want to join in those talks. Along with the Cowboys, Texans and Panthers ...
  14. Your entitled to your opinion, although I don't share it. I have the DTV superfan pack and went back and watched the game again on shortcuts. Gregg Williams, the Saints DC kept constant pressure on Edwards all day from what I saw. The Saints had so many all out blitzes in that game it wasn't funny, Edwards was running for his life most of the time. He had around 2 seconds on average to get rid of the ball, sorry that is just not enough time to allow any deep passes. Edwards also threw over the middle quite often in that game. Look at the stats- Reed 6 rec/60 yds-Fine 5 rec /34 yds- Evans 4 rec 31 yds- Jackson 4 rec 26 yds. That pass that was intercepted was thrown over the middle to TO, who had it bounce off his hands and into the air. I think Edwards threw to TO about 6-7 times, no catches though. Edwards checked down 4 times in that game to Fred Jackson out of 20-35 / 156. TO dropped a few and missed a few, as did other receivers. The Saints only had 4 sacks in that game, but they applied constant pressure. Ex Bill Jabari Greer had a pretty solid game. That last few series the Bills had many bad snaps in a row, the Bills O line was getting manhandled and pushed back badly, Edwards had to throw the ball away around 10 times or more simply because he didn't have any time to even find any outlet. The Saints are listed as the 9th best defense in the NFL for a reason.
  15. My point was... the only way for change to take place with this team is when the fans stop buying tickets, and Ralph Wilson no longer hears the constant "cha ching" of the cash register. For the 70's, that took ten years...
  16. Nope!!!! You guys need to remember that this is the same owner who allowed his team to go winless against the Dolphins for an entire DECADE. During the 70's when Don Schula and his Dolphins ruled the division the Bills didn't win a single game against them for TEN YEARS. Buffalo fans love their team, but they were driven away by the owner and his lack of desire to win. Finally, after enduring so many losing seasons and fans leaving in droves, the owner decided to hire a name coach in Chuck Knox. The same thing started to happen again in the mid 80's,that prompted the Bill Polian / Marv Levy era. We are currently in the Bill Belichick era and the Bills have a head coach who not only can't win against the Patriots, he loses to every team in the division. Fans this season lined up to buy tickets once they heard the news that TO had signed with the Bills, thinking that a top 5 wide out can help build a high powered offense. But the Ivy league head coach decided he needed to rebuild the entire offensive line in the off season...which started out ok. Then the injuries... and now the Bills are currently starting two offensive tackle's that wouldn't even make most teams rosters. Trent Edwards doesn't have time to throw, and like all young QB's that take a constant pounding, he is starting to hear phantom footsteps and get nervous feet, I don't blame the kid either. I blame the losers in the front office and coaching staff for not drafting an OT when they traded away the only pro bowler and best O linemen on the team. There are some decent OT free agents still out there, like Levi Jones, Jon Runyan, but then they might want to get paid more then the minimum. Suck it up Bills fans as we have been down this road before, the only way for change to take place with this team is when the fans stop buying tickets, and Ralph Wilson no longer hears the constant "cha ching" of the cash register.
  17. Shanahans problem came from wearing too many hats in the Bronco's organization, GM- head coach-play caller. The difference in him keeping his job and losing it was most likely that one loss last season, the Bronco's make the playoffs and he isn't fired. The same sort of thing happened in Seattle with Mike Holmgren, too many hats and he lost the team because he can't focus on what he does best. Both of those two if rehired as head coaches need to be just that, the head coach. You have to stand back and admire some of the recent new head coaches around the league that are so secure with their jobs that they hire a quality coordinator. Would Josh McDaniel's and the Bronco's be 4-0 without that #1 defense run by Mike Nolan? Would John Harbaugh have the success he is having in Baltimore without Cam Cameron as his OC?
  18. You would be very surprised by the amount posters on this board who think the players are all that matter. Coaching is everything, a great coach can take a team of nobody's and turn them into a contender.
  19. Take a look at the Denver Bronco's defense, last year they were the reason Shanahan was fired, they were horrid and almost last in every category . This year under new DC Mike Nolan they are the # ONE defense in the NFL with basically the same personnel. This year the Bronco's are 4-0 with Kyle Orton as the QB Conversely, look at the Titans. They had the best record in the NFL last season and although they lost a star player in Albert Haynsworth, the only other major change on the team was the lost their defensive coordinator and the defense went from one of the best to #22 overall, and look worse then that. Last in the NFL in pass defense, and 0-4. So yea, coaching can make a huge difference.
  20. That pass that Trent Edwards threw for the pick 6, that was just a stupid play all around. The QB should have never thrown it, but the OC should have never called it. That freaking play should be taken out of the playbook and shoved where the sun doesn't shine. The patriots run a very similar play but the WR doesn't move up at all, If the CB/ DB is giving a 10+yard cushion then Brady throws a quick out and lets the WR make the yardage to the first down. Trent Edwards looked horrid in this game, it leaves me to wonder if he is injured or slightly concussed, with all the shots that poor guy has taken this year I'm surprised he is still walking upright. Ultimately it all comes down to Jauron and the revamped offensive line, play calling, no dominate tight end or full back. TO was supposed to help open up the offense by allowing Lee Evans to be single covered, help open up the running game because the defense can't stack the box. IF the O line can't hold a block for more then 2.5 seconds, then nothing works. READ THIS-- http://www.buffalonews.com/452/story/818059.html
  21. I was thinking...."FIRE JAURON"
  22. You forgot to mention Levi Jones, unless he signed with a team that I didn't read about. The scary part of the Dolphins is Joey Porter and Jason Taylor blitzing from the outsides against the current Buffalo tackles.
  23. With the Injuries that plague this team and you want to trade away one of the best players? With Trent Edwards erratic play and hoping that Jackson doesn't hit a wall by week 12...besides, the season isn't lost just yet. The Lynch / Jackson one-two punch killed the Dolphins two years ago, lets hope they do it again.
  24. I know some have been clamoring for Jauron's head for quite awhile, I'm sorta one of them. My problem is with who will Ralph Wilson hire to replace him? If its Marty Schottenheimer, Mike Shanahan, Jon Gruden... then heck yea !!!! If its some unknown like Tampa Bay hired, then heck no. Schottenheimer would be my first choice because he would know which assistant coaches to hire who could get the job done and support him. His last coaches were Wade Phillips as the DC and Cam Cameron as the OC in that 14-2 San Diego team. Plus he has a history of taken fallen franchises and rebuilding them into contenders. So to answer the OP, No he will stay until the bye week, even at 2-6, they should beat Cleveland
  25. The Bills are tied with last years super bowl champs at 1-2, the Steelers. The Titans are 0-3,they finished with the best record in the NFL last season. They lost Albert Haynsworth in free agency but I think their biggest problem is the new DC Chuck Cecil, this just shows the impact of changing coordinators. This week Bills face last seasons AFC East division champs the 0-3 Miami Dolphins, who just lost their starting QB in Chad Pennington. Now, IF they can contain the phins wildcat and shut down the running game, I doubt Chad Henne can beat them by himself, and Ted Ginn Jr can't seem to catch anything lately. The phins are #3 in rushing and 30th in passing, and that was with Pennington. The Bills NEED to get the ball to TO 10-15 times a game, the more he touches the ball the more chances the Bills have to make big plays. Special teams needs more chances to make plays, the Bills have fielded some of the better ST's the last few years. I say give them more chances to score, fake punts, fake field goals, on side kicks ect.
