The strong winds gave Sanchez fits against the Bills, that was his very first welcome to NY weather. Don't forget SANCHEZ came from USC, U of spoiled children in southern cal. The OC for the Jets has probably been kicking himself over that first game, my 2 RB's get over 300 yards on the ground and I let a ROOKIE QB throw in strong winds... If he is not kicking himself I'll bet he is still trying to get Rex Ryans shoe outta his backside, doubt they will be that foolish again. Not to mention the Bills have 1/2 their defense out with injuries.

A coach that has not been mentioned

REALLY? Gee, wonder what kind of offense have they been running up there in Green Bay all these years with guys like Mike Holmgren, Jon Gruden, Mike McCarthy, Mike Sherman and Steve Mariucci. Then there might just be another that coached in that sunny, always 90 degree weather down in Denver, like Mike Shanahan. Then you have Andy Reid in Philly, Brad Childress in Minnesota, John Harbough in Baltimore. -

Mooch is not a SB winning head coach, he took the 49ers to the playoffs 2x and won some playoff games, he got Steve young at the end of his career and lost a power struggle with Terry Donahue the Niners GM before he was fired. Mooch was 60-43 while with the Niners. The guy had his hands tied in Detroit by Matt Millen, the retard as CEO/ GM/ President who decided who was drafted and who started. It would be like if Ralph Wilson made all the player decisions and chose all the draft picks, only Wilson is about 1000x smarter then Millen in regards to evaluating talent. Mariucci was hired because Millen's #1 overall pick QB Joey Harrington wasn't working out and Millen desperatly wanted to see Harrington succeed. Mooch went to Millen and told him it was pointless as he was already ruined by the previous coaching staff, Millen didn't buy it and fired him. Millen never let Mooch fix the O line and that was the reason QB's suffered in Detroit. How Matt Millen retained his job as pres for so long in Detroit is a conundrum. Personally, I think Mooch would be way better then anyone else the Bills have hired as head coach the last 10 years. He knows the West Coast offense, he knows how to manage a game. Should the Bills hire a really good GM to bring in the proper talent and hire some really decent assistant coaches OC & DC. I could see the Bills in the playoffs within 2 years with Da Mooch! -
Miami @ Buffalo L Jets @ Buffalo maybe W @ Chiefs L NE @ Buffalo L @ Atlanta L Indy @ Buffalo L 4-12 final record

I'm hoping that whomever is in charge after the "purge", if there is an actual coaching / FO purge, will draft an O lineman with that first pick. My draft would look like this, #one=tackle - #two=tackle- #three=guard If they took O linemen with the entire 7 picks I wouldn't complain, as this is the teams weakest area, the offensive line. Jason Peters might have been one of the most hated Bills players in the last few years, but its hard to argue when he came to camp in shape he locked down that LT position all year. This year the LT position has been a nightmare of revolving players.

Now you see why the average life span of an NFL player is 3 years, that same type of Injury occurred with Joe Theisman, kinda makes you think Brett Farve has an angel looking out for him...19 years and counting.

So, the Bills shouldn't draft in the top 5 because they "might' draft a booger?

Yea, Payton Manning sucks... So does that Stafford guy 26/43 422 yds 5 TD's this week

Cleveland 1-9 L St Louis 1-9 L Tampa Bay 1-9 L Detroit 2-8 just beat Cleve Buffalo 3-7 L Oakland 3-7 just beat Cincy Tenn 3-6 W Washington 3-7 L Seattle 3-7 L Kansas City 3-7 just beat Pitt I'm thinking the Bills get the 5th pick, this shambles of a team really stinks, with 12 players on IR and more to come.

Jeez guys get a freaking grip, a bust in his first year when almost every NFL draft analyst stated he would be a 3 year project. All before last years draft I was posting about the problems of drafting undersized college DE's. Does everyone forget he was a 236 lb DE at Penn st and then 255 at the NFL combine? The guy clearly needs to add muscle,2 more years experience and game time before I'd call him a bust. Although, I'm still wondering what the scouting staff saw in this guy and didn't see in the "RAK" Orakpo

Unsubstantaiated Rumor about Trent Edwards
thewildrabbit replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea well, it can effect each player differently. The difference between that Dallas Cowboy super bowl team and the current Buffalo Bills team...is well, like night and day. I seriously doubt he suffered a severe concussion as he would not have been able to play at all, dizziness, blurred vision, constant raging headaches, slowed reaction time. Contrary to what some think on this board, I'm not sticking up for Edwards. I sticking up for a player who was made to play for a moronic head coach... play behind the crappiest O line the Bills have had in years...run plays for a rookie OC who got the job two weeks before the season started. Edwards is showing some classic signs of the effects of a severe concussion and should sit out the season IMO. "You get back up, and things are spinning," Giants backup quarterback David Carr said, "but you don't tell anyone." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4668106 Fitz will play the next 6 games and I hope he plays well and doesn't endure the hits that Edwards has had to take this season -
Dick Jauron sucks the life out of his players
thewildrabbit replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Buffalo Bills are a cursed franchise, doomed to lose for some inexplicable reason. Dick Jauron only fed that curse with his losing history, hiring him was a huge mistake. Even T.O. was engulfed in the vortex of doom until this past Sunday in Jacksonville, a really great player who comes in to Buffalo and stagnates instead of shining. There may be some type of metamorphosis occurring with this team because T.O. set a franchise record for longest TD catch in team history, and he had 9 catches for 197 yards and a TD. Fitzpatrick was 18-31 for 297 yards, an almost 300 yard game for a Bills QB...whoa. The defense was supposed to look worse this game because two really good starters sat out with Injuries, T McGee and M Stroud and yet the D held MJD to only 66 yards rushing, big improvement. The curse didn't completely fade because the Bills still lost the game, and Eric Wood fell victim to a horrific injury. Still, there were some bright spots. I just wonder what it will take to remove the curse on this team, Perry Fewell does indeed need some special magic to overcome this curse, because every coach the Bills hire can't seem to make this franchise a winner. With only 6 games to go, the guy has to try and pull this team out of a black hole of injuries and ineptitude left to him by Dick Jauron, it is truly doubtful he can do it. But I admire the man for trying -
Unsubstantaiated Rumor about Trent Edwards
thewildrabbit replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nobody, and I mean nobody even at this day and age completely understands what the effects of a concussion can do to a human. What little they do know about concussions is that with each concussion it becomes easier to sustain another concussion and can ultimately cause permanent brain damage and can be a life long issue. Brian Westbrook suffered a concussion and three weeks later suffered another, and so he should be put on IR for the year to completely heal IMO. The same thing should happen with Edwards, if he is showing signs of mental impairment then he should be on IR and not second string as this season is a wash. -
"IF" Shanahan does come into Buffalo as a head coach the first pick will be a QB, the next picks will be O linemen. If that happens and he builds a line like he had in the 90's in Denver, both Jackson and Lynch will each have 1000 yard seasons.
-
What most fans don't understand is although Fred Jackson is a special back, he cannot be used as a constant every down back. The guy is older and will wear out faster and his body will break down and his play will start to decline.

How close are you to being done with the NFL?
thewildrabbit replied to Hossage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
THEY FIRED JAURON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel better already Just the thought of the Bills making contact with Jon Gruden and Mike Shanahan about a head coaching position is exciting. Change is coming, lets see what they do with it. -
Lord, I hope not... The guy is a loser at ND and a crappy head coach in college. Dunno why that would in any way make him decent head coaching material for the NFL. Kinda makes me happy he didn't get hired over Mularkey

Wade Phillips was the DC for the Bronco's under Dan Reeves during the super bowl with John Elway as QB and the lost in a blowout. Music city miracle =LOSER Dick Jauron great guy, hard worker= BIG LOSER Marv levy greater guy, harder worker, actually smart enough to hire decent assistant coaches,3 Grey Cups wins, 4 super bowl loses=LOSER Marty Schottenheimer The Bills fans are so desperate for a winning season even Marty is looking great right now, but you know what? 21 years a HC 200 wins 126 losses 74 games over 500 and yet...The guy can't win a playoff game SUPER BOWL WINS O-Championships O -conference Championships O- Division Championships 8= LOSER The Bills need to find a coach that has been to the promised land and won... Brian Billick-Jon Gruden-Mike Holmgren-Mike Shanahan-Bill Cowher-Dick Vermeil-Tony Dungy are all super bowl winning head coaches that are currently not coaching. Lets face it, Mike Shanahan is a HoF candidate and will command 8-12 million. Yea he won those super bowls with John Elway. But, Elway was an old man by NFL standards at the time and the guy who really won was Terrell Davis and that Bronco running attack Shanahan: 16 years a HC 146 wins 98 losses 48 games over 500-Super bowl wins 2 Championships 2 Conference championships 2 division championships 4= WINNER IDGAF what it will take to get Shanahan into Buffalo as the next head coach / GM, but Wilson needs to get it done!

as suspected - Perry is a moron

This team still has the reek of Dick Jauron all over it, bone headed play by Nelson to call back a touchdown. The defense minus McGee and Stroud played fairly well I thought, Kyle Williams was a monster at times. The D held MJD to 66 yards rushing, much better run D then in past games. Considering all the injuries surrounding this team and the problems that Jauron caused with the offense and O line I think they played better for their new HC. -
Good lord the Bills are still cursed, 12 players on IR and now this tragic injury
