This was a team loss and the entire offense stunk it up, not just one player. Chan Gailey was supposed to run the ball to set up the pass, the first pick in the draft was CJ Spiller. The guy who was so good that he could make the O line better because of his speed....remember that line? What happened to the freaking running game, where was CJ Spiller all game, someone explain that because I just don't get why Chan Gailey starts this game the same way AVP or Turk Schonhert used to start games. The Bills start the game in shotgun formation and go 3 and out, this offense looked like the same crap we have seen the last 4 years with Jauron and his band of buffoons... only a worse running game. CJ Spiller had 7 attempts for 6 yards and everyone is blaming the QB, this was the new RB who was supposed to be the offensive savior. Total rushing stats, 17 rushes for 50 yards 2.9 avg per rush, this Bills offense played worse then last years teams. Yea Trent Edwards stunk it up, but so did his head coach. poor game plan, poor play calling poor scheme. Not what most of us were expecting to see after the last 3 preseason games. You guys blame Edwards all you want, Gailey takes credit for this disaster IMO Check the play by play: http://www.cbssports...0100912_MIA@BUF

The QB is the problem......we all know it!
thewildrabbit replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone blames the QB because he is the focal point of any offense In truth it was the entire offense that failed, The QB..the O line, the head coach with a bad game plan, bad play calls, bad scheme, bad protections I think Gailey is trying to do to many jobs as HC and OC The team still needs 2 tackles, a decent blocking TE -
I'm glad we didn't hire Mike Shanahan
thewildrabbit replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Along with Trent Willams who many on this board said would fail big time, yea he single blocked blocked Ware like a pro bowler...wish the Bills had a fail LT like Williams along with Jammal Brown who they got from the Saints for a 3rd round pick and he started and played the whole game, the Bills didn't even try for -
Offensive penalty on the last play of the game
thewildrabbit replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
watching that last play for the Cowboys I couldn't help but think,...jeez the back up tackle got flagged for holding and the guy being held was Brian Orakpo Cowboys suspect O line cost them the game ... Orakpo vs Maybin -
News Flash: The O-Line Played Well Today (sans Green)
thewildrabbit replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it gets me that people say the O line played well... The Dolphins rushed 4 and the Bills had 6 and still couldn't block them... Green had help and still failed, Bell was singled up and he failed Both tackles suck big time -
News Flash: The O-Line Played Well Today (sans Green)
thewildrabbit replied to Got_Wood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+10 I just don't get why the OP even started this thread after watching the O line try and run and pass block and fail in so many ways. Green was the worst by far, the others weren't that far behind him -
Yeah Chan, we know, "When we dog one of you..."
thewildrabbit replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven't, they looked downright horrid to me, RB's getting hit as soon as they get the ball in the backfield. Spiller had how many touches vs how many pass attempts? Blame Edwards all you want ... I'll blame the head coach for the bad game plan, play calls scheme and the bad O line play -
I agree with everything you stated I blame the head coach who was calling the offensive plays, and set up the game plan and scheme. What happened to getting Spiller in open space, the QB getting the ball out in under three seconds to defeat a strong pass rush. As bad as Trent Edwards looked today it all has to fall on Chan Gailey

Please elaborate on that point about the play calling being different. How was this games offense any different then what we saw last year or more importantly what we saw two years ago with Turk Schonert as OC, when Edwards would start the game in shotgun formation and try and throw all game long

Things I noticed at the game
thewildrabbit replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It wasn't just Green that was awful, the entire team and specifically the O line played badly How many times did we see the RB get hit as soon as he got the ball, several of those hits came from Bell's side. How many times did we see Edwards getting harried, hurried and a defender in his face. When Edwards had time to throw it looked like the receivers were covered. The thing about Edwards is he doesn't throw a ton of interceptions, which is a good thing. Where was the innovation in the scheme, the game plan, the play calling... I didn't see anything different then I saw last season under AVP, and the Bills started the game in the shotgun and then tried to throw most of the game much like Turd Schonert did 2 years ago. Where were the miss direction plays, Gailey didn't impress me with anything this week -
There is no other option.... get over it!!!!

Trent Edwards isn't the worst Bills QB ever, but this Bills O line might just qualify as one of the worst ever. -
Week 1 - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
thewildrabbit replied to wardigital's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wait until this team plays a real playoff contender, week three Patriots From what I saw the entire team is bad, players and coaches... . Gailey didn't have a better game plan then AVP or the turd, he didn't call a better plan either. Exactly what scheme was it they were trying to utilize? -
Someone making decisions in the FO needs to have their a$$ handed to them for the moves or should I say the lack of moves to upgrade the O line Ralph kick some butt pls, you can't be happy with what you saw

Cornell Green or Demetrius Bell
thewildrabbit replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bell played well...what freaking game were you watching! You talking about the guy who can't single block anyone, run or pass! The guy who stunk it up the entire game! Both tackles stunk, we all knew they stunk and there is no excuse for them No, not by any standards, reverse that last statement... ONE out of four played decently The Dolphins rushed 4 and the Bills have 6 blocking them and still hurried Edwards. This O line has not shown any improvement from last season, and with no injuries to use as an excuse you now see they all suck, save one -
6 Bills can't block 4 dolphins and again I'll say....BELL SUCKS
-
Bench Edwards, throw fitz in there
-
It makes me wonder if Gailey will finally see what most of us already knew....THIS BILLS O LINE SUCKS! 2 decent guards can't carry the rest of that line
-
Stepped up to to what,...abysmal? This line stinks no question about it, when the RB's get tackled as they get the hand off it means someone missed a block. How many times in a game does that need to happen in a game before ya realize this team can't run block
-
Gailey needs to pull Edwards and try Fitz to give them a shot to win this
-
Receivers aren't getting open, O line can't block...RB's getting hit as soon as they get the ball, lets blame Edwards as usual
-
I've said it all offseason and I'll say it again, Bell SUCKS!
-
Pretty certain they thought Bradford could, they just didn't want to pay him 50 mill a year or trade the picks to obtain him. Should the Bills have a losing season and get a top ten pick and draft a QB, they will still end up paying a small fortune for a guy that will need 3-4 years to develop... and after 4 years might just end up with another Ryan Leaf-Matt Leinart-JaMarcus Russell. Edwards is in perfect position to fully develop this season if he is well protected and has time to throw, if they fail to protect the guy then they aren't giving him a full chance to succeed.

What two key areas on offense are the Bills lacking this season, its at tackle and wide receiver! The Chargers are willing to let star pro bowl WR Vincent Jackson and star pro bowl LT Marcus McNeill sit out the entire season because of contract disputes. Chargers Owner... http://www.signonsan...hargers-stance/ We have all heard how Buddy loves his draft picks, but then he goes and states you can miss on any player drafted... Should the bills draft a tackle next season it usually takes 2-3 years to fully develop any player, including a WR. So why not try and make a trade, both players are worth the draft picks in my view and sure are exactly what this years team needs to become a top offense. I have no idea what it would take to bring those two into Buffalo, I do know if that happened it would give this offense instant credibility and the ability to actually have a winning season THIS year. Seriously, Cornell Green is not the long term answer at RT and and Bell might fall on his face or get injured again like last season. If Edwards is the guy Gailey and Nix feel can take them to the SB, then show some balls and pull the trigger on a Polian like trade to upgrade the team and give the guy an honest shot with a good team around him....

DirectTV deal VS Dish Network deal
thewildrabbit replied to mikef292004's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I concur Every time I talk to Direct TV about leaving because of price-service they lure me back in with great discounts, besides the NFL package rules I used to buy the NFL fan pack, but its included now in NFL package. If ya don't know what that is, on Monday and Tuesday you can watch every game with the commercials and BS taken out so they are condensed to 1/2 hour each.
