  1. Ralph Wilson even liked Mularkey, but the man just walked away from a HCing job to take a coordinators job remember some kids were giving his kids a hard time is school or something
  2. Jeff Ireland is still there, they aren't gonna get better this year....morons never change their spots kinda like the Bi... err nvm The Colts however, the OP has a point and that point has already been pointed out by PFT. whats interesting about the Indy situation and Jim Caldwell is where did Caldwell come from in the first place? He was Payton Manning s QB coach, when have you ever heard about a QB coach becoming a HC before even being an OC? He made a few serious blunders 2 years ago, and completely screwed th pooch this year at 2-14, but he is Payton's "buddie". So it remains to be seen if he stays! The other point is that #1 draft choice and Andrew Luck. If you heard Payton's dad, Archie Manning talk about that situation he stated it simply wouldn't work because both QB's will want to play next year, So.....
  3. The man supposedly called the owners late daughter the C word, dunno about you but I were owner I'd rather not even speak to him again. Besides, Bill Polian was the PRESIDENT at Indy, his son was the GM. RW is the current president of the Buffalo Bills.... kinda why they are in the shape they have been in the last 7 years
  4. i get it, good one
  5. If you look at what made the Colts so successful the last decade it was all based around Payton Manning. That quick strike offense would score first, get the lead and that small, fast undersized quick D players would pin their ears back and attack. They didn't need a power running game, they had Payton. They didn't need a big powerful defense, they usually always had the lead. So look at what happened when they lost Payton to an injury, the Colts went 2-14 this year with several different QB's. OTOH, The Patriots lose Tom Brady for a year on the first game of the season. Then the only QB they have as backup hasn't been a starting QB since high school, as he was a backup at USC his entire 4 years. Matt Cassel. The 2008 NE patriots went 11-5 with Cassel at QB but missed the playoffs. So what style / scheme would you rather see the Buffalo Bills run?
  6. Put me down for a WoW also... didn't see this coming in my wildest visions. Irsay is a moron, just like his dad was. I suppose this happens to fools when they get older, like they say. I suppose he forgot about the decade of winning and the SB the Colts just had a few years ago, 10 years of winning the AFC South will do that Wonder what will become of Payton Manning
  7. Jeez, what if the Colts fire Jim Caldwell ....and hire Jeff Fisher
  8. Raheem Morriss out in TB Steve Spagnuolo out in St Loius Who is next that's five so far... Miami- KC- Jacksonville all have interim HC's, now Tampa bay & St Louis Cut Jeff Fisher into 5 parts? He is the top dog, wonder what team will get him?
  9. and he has GB's WR corps, their TE's, their O line.
  10. To me, Fitz is not the problem...not always anyway. The man played brilliantly in the 1st QTR of that Patriots game. An injury took away his only decent option at TE and the HC took away his best receiver. So then hamstrung by losing his two top targets the HC just keeps calling empty backfield passing plays. So Instead of running Spiller more he just kept calling for passes, knowing that the Patriots are now in constant nickel and dime packages because they have the lead. To anyone who thinks Fitz is the problem. I just can't wait until this HC tries to replace him. It will need to be a super human Cam Newton clone who can run like the wind, because he will need to.
  11. Hey, I'd be "all in" on Firing Chan Gailey if I thought for one second that they had one decent human being worthy of the HCing job that actually wanted it, and the Bills wanted him ! What intelligent person would want to come to buffalo and work in the environment surrounding OBD with the rep this owner has ? It has nothing to do with the City, nightlife or weather either. Not sure if any of you remember but it was noted that Jauron was being micro managed by this owner every day for hours over the phone from Detroit. Ole dickie clearly got sick of it, torpedoed his own team to ensure he would get fired. It was the easiest and fastest way he could get off the team and away from RW and still be paid millions to do nothing. The man was after all, an Ivy league grad. Coaches talk to each other all the time, at the combine, at league meetings. Most of them understand and realize what Gailey and his staff are dealing with. I believe the Bills had a better man in Perry Fewell and decided not to keep him, huge mistake.(bet he wouldn't take the job now) But then, fans have been dealing with stuff like this for 15 years. Any person that takes the Bills HCing job gets to learn he is handcuffed 8 ways to Sunday, and so is the GM. Both are at the mercy of not only the 3 headed monster, but the owner as well. There is no commitment to winning from this origination ... the coaches know it.... the GM knows it... the players know it. Surprisingly, the only people that don't know it are most of the fans We are stuck with what we got until this owner passes Deal with it!
  12. I think you can most certainly expect that to happen mid way thru the season if the same OC & DC are retained Once fired tho, Wannstache will take over and this team will start playing to its strengths on offense....they will run the ball! Both RB's are far superior in talent and much more stable then the QB. Once this happens you can expect the team to start winning and perhaps even finish with a winning record
  13. That's just wrong.... Then every draft, its like the teams right before the Bills pick gets the best players Then on top of that, Von Miller- AJ Green- Patrick Peterson all make the pro bowl
  14. If you look at the stats over the season, Yes they were! The Bills stopped scoring after the first QTR, it wasn't that worst defense in the NFL that NE has that stopped them either, it was their own play calling. Gailey states he passes to set up the run, then doesn't run ....how brilliant
  15. I don't see any changes either, Gailey knew he hired a DC with no experience. Then hired wannastache as ast. HC and LB's coach to help George Edwards. If Gailey fires him its admitting he made a mistake. I would be ok with keeping Gailey if he fired both OC & DC and hired some veteran NFL play-callers, with some previous recent experience and success at their jobs. But then, this is the Buffalo Bills we are talking about, with a 90+ year old owner who states if he can get to the breakfast table in the morning its a good day.
  16. Listening to the announcers in pre game when they stated they talked with Chan gailey before the game. Gailey then stated he wanted to run the ball, wanted to eat up the clock and keep Brady on the sidelines But then during the game Gailey just refuses to build a dominate ground attack at any point in the game. Even with a 21 point lead you would think he would want to just run the ball, keep Brady on the sidelines, keep his defense fresh and off the field, keep wearing down the opposing defense by running it on them. You would think the very last think you want to go 3 and out and give the ball to Brady. But instead we got to watch the constant empty backfield 4-5 WR sets even with the lead. Then the full game benching of Stevie Johnson killed the offense in the second half, that plus Scott Chandler out with and injury. My take is Chan believes Spiller is to frail to be an every down back and only wants to use him sparingly in the run game. Also, Spiller was used more in the passing game in the second half then he was used as a RB. Me, I don't see things the same way, with a 21 point lead Spiller is getting 25-30 touches and Fitz 25-30 pass attempts. I'd run it till Spillers legs fell off !!! After all, there is no next game to worry about until next Sept
  17. still gotta beat the Dolphins-Jets- Patriots to win the division
  18. Yea, the Bills stood toe to toe for the first QTR.... then the Patriots scored 49 unanserwed points Can't Wait....
  19. I started a thread on Flynn, the mods locked it....they must all be asleep now, that Bills game plus took its toll... The Bills need the Packers O line, OC, WR corps & TE, and then yeah, Flynn to Buffalo would be brilliant move
  20. I'm pretty certain that given the history of this franchise that they will draft a DB or RB with that #1 pick .. Seriously tho, its waaaaaaaaaay to early to tell who is going to be ranked where, so we just need to wait a bit
  21. Yea, Matt....Matt Flynn aquired from the Packers for the Bills 2013 first pick AFTER the 2012 draft Riley Reiff with the Bills first pick in 2012 works for me Tannehill is currently ranked by ESPN as the 27th rated player ATM, so he might move up after the senior bowl and combine. But the way Mel Kiper Jr talks about Barkley returning to USC for another year and 3 teams looking for a QB that draft ahead of Buffalo. Miami-Cleveland-Washington. It looks like your guy could be gone by the time Buffalo picks
  22. Per #6 , only 13 for 60 rushing, even when the bills had the lead. still, calling 4-5 WR spread, shotgun passing plays, empty backfield, with Stevie Johnson on the bench Just seemed to me that Spiller was used more often as a WR in the second half then as a RB Dunno, maybe its just me...I just don't get it
  23. Back up Packer QB Matt Flynn throws for 480 yards, 6 TD's in win against the Lions today ....good lord
  24. Even that is doubtful, like I said those media types burrowing their way into the nooks and crannies of each and every team. Even some supposedly pay for info, and yet nothing being said anywhere about the Buffalo Bills
  25. So I suppose the phrase cutting off your nose to spite your face means nothing to some of you. I can see benching him for a half to make a point. While I agree the act was stupid and uncalled for, even tho it was harmless, Its the point of discipline. But with Chandler hurt and Johnson on the bench it only ensured a loss, considering the Bills didn't score again after Johnson was benched.
