WTH are the Dolphins thinking?
thewildrabbit replied to Bud Adams's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like I stated, I think the move is moronic to trade away a #1 WR, and a talent like Marshalls for 2 #3's. Marshall was in trouble again, but not to the extent Lynch was! Also, lots of players hit that proverbial edge where one more mistake and they suffer a big suspension and never make another. Example was Bruce Smith who's next mistake would have cost him a years suspension, he never made another. DE Jared Allen is still in the same boat as Bruce, if he screws up again he is gone for a year. Minnesota took a chance on him a few years ago and Allen led the league in sacks last year with 22. Apparently, you and your Miami friends didn't watch the pro bowl either -

I was kinda surprised we didn't hear from RW then entire time super Mario was in Buffalo. I even asked JW about it but found no response. Strange we haven't heard anything about him lately -
No question its looking like Modrak was one of the biggest reasons for a decade of the failure to acquire top player talent, still can't figure out why it took almost 10 years realize that. Another thing is Nix was incredibly smart to sign Stevie Johnson and not let him hit the open market. If he had let him hit the open market he would have gotten 8-10 mill and be playing for a different team. Signing Mario over Vincent Jackson was another smart move. Paying 11+ million to a WR with about the same stats as Johnson would have been foolish. Particularly because Jackson played on a much better and team his numbers should be way better then Johnson's. The Buc's over paid IMO. The Chargers overpaid for a rotational WR in Meachem, the guy was like 3rd string. Nix is proving his worth in this years free agency period no question, lets hope he knocks it outta the park with the draft

WTH are the Dolphins thinking?

The have a moron for a GM and all the fans know it. They really hate Jeff Ireland and the direction he is taking the team. Right now the Dolphins owner and GM think they have a realistic shot to land Peyton Manning, which they don't !! So believing in that, they are not even trying to land Matt Flynn and will lose out on Flynn while waiting on Manning. So once they realize they lost out on Manning and Flynn they will get desperate for a QB and try and draft Ryan Tennehill. Who is moving up on most mock draft charts just because he is the only decent available QB in the draft at this point. For that early a pick for a QB he had better be NFL start ready, I don't think he is. They will end up screwing themselves again. When they fired the HC and staff they should have fired the GM. I can only think Bill Parcells told them to hang on to him is the only reason he is still there. Trading away Brandon Marshall was moronic, apparently the Dolphins GM / FO didn't watch the pro bowl with decent QB's throwing to Marshall. I suspect this year the Dolphins will be the AFC East cellar dwellers -
4-12 & 6-10 don't equal 4 super bowls with the Bills, 2 with the Colts last time i looked kinda early for that sort of talk However, this is a great move for the Buffalo Bills going forward, no question. Lets hope this move plus a good draft puts the Bills into a winning season and the playoffs for 2012 PTR can now gloat all he wants

FIFTY MILLION GUARANTEED...50 million....fifty freakin million...guaranteed... .jeez It is believed that Williams' deal exceeds the $15 million figure in annual compensation, and it's long been speculated that his guarantees could approach $50 million. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/ -

More PFT blurbs "A source with knowledge of Williams' plans tells PFT that, in reality, whether he indeed returns on Thursday depends on what happens tonight. Which suggests that negotiations are continuing — and that they're at a critical stage.": Yea, just like eariler when"A source with knowledge" stated from PFT stated Mario was leaving Buffalo tonight...do these guys even have a clue or do they just guess at everything. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/14/bills-say-mario-will-be-back-thursday/ -

merely pointing out to some fans in denial that PFT thinks Mario is leaving Buffalo..as he was scheduled to do. I didn't see any link to any Adam Schefter report, I'd trust anything he has to say over PFT -

Good post Buffalo,Chicago, Seattle, Tennessee all want Mario The NFL network might be correct in that Mario is waiting to see what Peyton Manning does. If he signs with Tenn then they won't have the money to sign Mario. Another point is leverage. His agent could be Bartering between Seattle, Chicago and Tenn to see if any will match the offer the Bills have made to Mario. You know, kinda like Robert Meachems PoS agent did. Once he steps on that plane without signing its over for the Bills, JMO -

Jeez, when I read something posted at 5:39 today i tend to think its something new As Bills fans wait for white smoke to come from the chimney of Ralph Wilson Stadium, it looks like Mario Williams could soon be moving on, at least physically. A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that Williams is scheduled to leave town tonight. http://profootballta...uffalo-tonight/ -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
thewildrabbit replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He wouldn't be leaving to talk with another team if the Bills had managed to sign him. So now that there is confirmation that he is leaving Buffalo without signing usually means he isn't interested in playing here. Leverage, the Buffalo Bills put the most money on the table, its why he came here first according to NFL network & ESPN -

If ya feel like praying, and even if ya don't ever pray. Pray that Peyton Manning signs with the Titans, because that is the team Mario is waiting to hear from, per NFL network
