Bob Sanders the current Bills LB coach, doing something with nothing. Sanders was the Packers DC for a few years. Or let one of the ball boys have the job, I don't see how he could do any worse -

Fitz Supporters Anonymous - First Meeting
thewildrabbit replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We all saw that Fitz can get it done in 2010 against the Steelers, Ravens, Bengals, then again at the start of the 2011 season. Its the reason the Bills gave him the big raise. Not sure whats happening this season, Fitz looks awful in games. Over throws, under throws the timing is off between receivers, and the passing game looks really bad. That doesn't stop Gailey from calling 4-5 WR empty backfield shotgun spread sets tho. Not sure if Fitz is over thinking his technique / mechanics because of new QB coach Davis Lee. Whatever the problem is I can only hope Fitz figures it out and corrects his issues and he plays better. -

Good thing Gailey deferred,,, -
Yea, new coachES, new staff. For the love of god I hope wannstooge is not retained, and I thought George Edwards / Jauron were bad. Plus, nobody on this Bills staff is helping any of the QB's that I can see, even Fitz regressed this year. What the heck happened with VY, why trade for TJ if you are just gonna keep him inactive? Yea, my take on that rookie QB is he is being groomed properly by Mike Sherman. You know, the very same Mike Sherman that "knocked" Marv Levy's socks off when he interviewed him for the Bills HCing job, then Levy hired Jauron.
-
NFN But I'm not convinced in any fashion that if the Bills had drafted a rookie QB the last 3 years he would have made any impact at all. My reasoning is that no QB besides Fitz has been able to assimilate Chan Gaileys offense, and considering some of the bad routes run by the WR's I'm not sure they picked it up entirely either. BTW, Fitz being unable to make decent throw has nothing to do with the route running. Tavaris Jackson is still inactive week after week even when Fitz is looking horrible. I'm just sayin any rookie would be ruined by this team just like Trent Edwards / JP Losman. IMO The reason why the Dolphins rookie QB is doing so well is offensive minded HC in Joe Philbin (ex OC of the Packers) and OC Mike Sherman (who is sorta like an offensive Marty S in terms of playoff loses when he was the Packers HC)

Passing Game Adjustments (Suggestion)
thewildrabbit replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, kinda the reason I've been talking about acquiring Plaxaco Burris or now trade for Dwayne Bowe to help in the passing offense. So lame to watch Chan Gailey call a 5 WR empty backfield shotgun spread set and know that only one guy is gonna be open. My suggestion, find different ways to make the run game work and limit the passes Fitz needs to throw. Then replace Dave wannstooge with the ball boy and the defense should get better. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1375409-dwayne-bowe-to-buffalo-bills-why-a-trade-would-propel-bills-to-the-postseason -
The thing is... Tallywacker is doing all this with no real top WR on the team...amazing! They sit one notch offensively behind the bills, who at least have Stevie Johnson. The Dolphins shipped out Brandon Marshal to the bears in the off season. So who do they have, WR Brian Hartline and Reggie Bush #12 ranked RB. Funny thing, Hartline is currently ranked as the 8th best WR, Stevie Johnson at 41st. So Tallywacker has made a mini star out of a nobody, sound familiar? Miami might have a middle of the pack defense but they did manage 8 sacks on the Cardinals. I suspect the Dolphins are going to be a much tougher team to beat then most Bills fans think

why not give brad smith a try?

actually he is a better RB -
Why so many missed tackles?
thewildrabbit replied to HelloNewman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it has more to do with discipline, and or the lack of it. Its also why the players are out of their gaps. Sorry to beat a dead horse here, but again it all comes down to coaching. There is a reason the Bills are 31st in total defense, last against the run. Yet, they have so many high round draft picks on that defense. The talent is there, the discipline is not. >> @ wannstooge -
What does it tell you about the Buffalo Bills when opposing defenders can learn the Bills offense and the Bills back up QB's can't Still, the Bills are desperate for another top WR ...so when Gailey calls an empty backfield, 5 WR shotgun spread set Chan actually has someone besides Stevie Johnson who will be a viable target

The reality of the situation is the Jets are 2-0 in the division, the Patriots are 1-0, the Dolphins are 0-1. The Bills are 0-2 in the division, and Points for, 137. Points against, 192. The Bills play the Patriots at NE, Miami 2x with a rookie QB playing really well and a tough defense. The Jets at home the final game. The Bills have proven they can beat bad teams with bad QB's and faulty O lines. But they can't stop the run as they are last in the NFL against the run, 31st in the NFL in total defense. The new 4-3 DC is the worst coach the Bills have ever had by far. The Special teams are currently ranked 31st. The Bills might even beat their next opponent at home in the 2-4 Titans, but @ Houston is 5-1, @ NE 3-3, Miami 3-3, @ Colts 2-3, Jags 1-4, Rams 3-3, Seahawks 4-2, @ Dolphins 3-3, Jets 3-3. It is conceivable the Bills win at least 3 more games or more. In all probability will finish the season 6-10 Bottom line is, the points for and against tell me this Bills team is a bad team, very bad defense, very bad special teams, QB playing poorly, bad coaching. poor scheme, poor game planning. The HC can't stop trying to make a back up QB do it all himself by throwing all game long. But Hey, they could go 13-3, right?
-
With this O line, receiver corps, play calling, scheme....I wonder if Romo could pick up Gaileys offense. So far nobody but Fitz has been able to do that
-
I disagree, I know Fitz is looking like major suck so far this year but there are other players that contribute to a QB looking bad. Granted the timing has been way off between Fitz and many throws, and there might be reasons for that we fans are unaware of...who knows? All I can say is a true #1 WR on the team besides Stevie Johnson just might save Chans job, and get this team into a winning season / perhaps playoffs. Considering how reluctant Gailey is to build a power running game and constantly wants to throw all game long. Even if Fitz isn't the starter and Tavaris Jackson / Tyler Thipen gets the nod, DB would certainly be a huge factor in the passing offense going forward
-
NFW do I want Jauron back.... Hopefully the Bills draft a good rookie QB prospect in the next draft so ya'll can stop dreaming about acquiring other teams trash
-
I'm thinking Gailey and his staff are gone sooner rather then later, and the Bills hire a head coach that can identify great talent at every position on the team (hoping) Should the latter happen....then a lot of the current bums on both sides of the ball will be gone
-
He has destroyed the Bills every time he has played them. Although, the Titans now have a different O line, HC, QB, scheme, defense. The game will center around which QB is going to suck more, Fitz or Hasselbeck
-
They should be missing Martyball...who went 12-4 with Phillip Rivers handing off more then throwing it
-
I still say a QB is only as good as the OC / HC utilizing him. Look at what happened to a known top talent in Phillip Rivers when he is forced to shoulder the entire offense with inferior players around him. I look at Fitz and have to think that Gailey needs to stop forcing him to shoulder the entire load, the Bills have 2 top RB's and they need to run the ball more. Every game the Bills need to have more attempts rushing then throwing, and they will win more games. Take the ball out of the back up QB and give it to the play makers in Spiller and Jackson.
