Yet Spiller got 9 carries, Fitz got 40 attempts, now that is insane!
-
First of all I don't see the Bills retaining Chan Gailey is this losing continues. Then I highly doubt Gailey is smart enough to recognize a top DC and hire him. Just look at the 2 worst DC's ever to call plays for the Buffalo Bills. Both George Edwards and Dave Wannstedt aren't just bad, they are both historically the worst EVER! The Bills have their own version of Norv Turner only without Phillip Rivers. Gailey should not be the HC.

Yeah the Patriots Defense is ranked 25th, Buffalo's 31st...both stink. Want to talk offense how a bout the 3 points the bills put up on the 49ers in that 45-3 loss This Buffalo Bills team has shown they can pass (25th ranked) against bad defenses, and can run on anybody ranked (6th). That 6th place ranking should / would be 1st if Gailey would run the ball more. No other team in the NFL has 2 backs that are as good as Fred Jackson & CJ Spiller. Whats crazy is Spiller is averaging 7.8 yards per carry and he got only 9 carries vs Fitz 40 pass attempts. Don't compare a team that lost its starting QB mid game like the Bears did because they were forced to run and the Texans knew it. This is the major problem with most Bills fans is they see the Bills moving the ball and putting up 31 points and think "wow" this team is good! WRONG! They have the 31st ranked defense and they suck. They have the 25th ranked passing offense and the OC / HC keeps calling pass plays all game long instead of feeding that 6th ranked run game. Not only are they bad, both the HC and QB are losers who don't have a clue how to beat a good top team!

Teams that could be getting a new HC Buffalo 3-6 NY Jets 3-6 Cleveland 2-7 Jacksonville 1-8 KC 1-7 Oakland 3-6 Carolina 2-7 Philly 3-6 San Diego 4-5 Dallas 4-5 Most fans were so sick of Jauron's feeble attempt at offense they are all now in love with Gaileys half-assed attempt at offense. 15th on offense, 25th in passing 5th in rushing and should be 1st in rushing. No other team has a pair of RB's as good as Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller. Spiller leads the NFL in YPC avg. The Bills have proven they can score on bad defenses and get shut down against good defenses 49ers 3 pts, Texans 9 pts

Sad, but true! What we didn't know about Fitz back in 2010 is what he would do when the chips are down and the game is on the line. We now found out that he chokes time after time, and that is the difference between a average QB and a great QB, between him and QB's like Big Ben. You would think that Gailey would have worked with Fitz more often on the 2 min drill and how important those clutch game winning passes are, he hasn't because Gailey is also a loser and doesn't know how to win. That Titans game spoke volumes about both Fitz and Gailey. 1:03 to go with the ball on the Bills 20, and 60 yards to go for a game winning field goal. 4 passes and done, they couldn't even make a first down! This was against a horrible Tenn defense! I noticed lots of comparisons in the off season in this forum between Fitz and Eli Manning. The stats is where that comparison ends because with the game on the line Eli wins it and Fitz chokes. Not really Fitz's fault that Gailey is a bigger loser then Fitz. Sure he can call a decent game, and get production out of his super star RBs. The simple fact is the RB's don't see enough work in Gaileys offense. Gailey even acknowledged the RB's need to get 40 touches and instead gives Fitz 40 attempts. Like PP stated 9 carries for a guy who is averaging 7.7 yards per carry is a joke, and the only fans laughing are the Patriots fans, even they all are happy Spiller only sees 9 carries while Fitz gets 40 attempts What is crazy is most fans watch the bills offense and come away thinking OH YEA,WE ARE GOOD! The fact is the Patriots have the 25th ranked defense and are not that good. The bills showed what they can really do on offense against a good top defense 45-3 against the 49ers- 21-9 against the Texans. As much as lots of fans think the Bills are "close" or "almost there" they are wrong. The Bills are 31st on defense and so freaking far away from being good! The Bills are 15th on offense because of the running game that Gailey refuses to commit to the entire game. The Bills are 25th in passing and 6th in rushing and should be #1 in rushing, no other NFL team has a pair of RB's as good as Spiller and Jackson. Instead Jackass Gailey lets Fitz throw 40 times a game

We are two lousy plays away from being in first place

+1 The first one hired the second one, and the real culprit hired the first....the best player on that defense is from the Jauron era -
The Bills finally played with some heart in this game, and it showed later on. The Bills had to fight the refs along with some very questionable bad calls, some non calls. Some bad luck where they just couldn't hold onto a INT or the ball. Someone explain to me why Spiller is so amazing and yet only got 9 runs the entire game, 4 receptions (7.7 ypc avg rushing) Then Fitz with 40 attempts passing

The team is not out of Playoff Hunt

Even the Jags game isn't a lock...something happens to Fitz or Spiller its an easy loss.. 3-13 is possible, tho more like 4-12 You guys need to remember who is the Bills DC That does boggle the mind... The Patriots fans are sure happy Spiller only got 9 carries, 4 pass receptions... how can a head coach be so stupid -
Andy Reid is licking his chops over the San Diego job, the Eagles will fire Reid, the Chargers will fire Norv. Reid has a house in San Diego and has already shown interest in the Chargers, and they have shown interest in him. So just forget him for Buffalo, he would never work for Wilson

Thinking Nix or Gailey will still be with the team after this season might be the long shot. Trusting Gailey to groom a rookie QB to win will be another....3-5 years to develop a rookie by a guy who can't stop calling empty backfield sets, and refuses to make Spiller the primary on every play? It took Nix 3 years to find a LT, he still hasn't found some top LBers although he keeps drafting them. Nix still hasn't found a top #2 WR that will run the proper route in the end zone. 100 million + 12 for 2 pass rushers and the team still needs a better pass rush. Nic & Gailey have a 5 year plan, and they will still be losing in year 5 -
The team is cursed alright, cursed by bad management and ownership. The Bills owner is also the president, you know kinda like Cowboys owner as GM-president Jerry Jones. That stuff simply doesn't work and never will. NFL teams need solid football men in upper football management on the football operations side. Not owners who were business men who think they can do anything and everything. So until this owner sells the team, passes on or grows a brain and hires a real president to run the team you can expect to see this team continue to lose.

Fitz has more balls than anyone on the defense
thewildrabbit replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz needs a head coach that will either teach him how to win, run that 2 min drill to perfection or crapcan him for someone who can win. Gailey himself doesn't know how to win and can't tell the difference between a QB who can and cannot win. Gailey is still calling empty backfield sets when he should be getting the ball to Spiller -
And the reason we lost to the Pats today was...
thewildrabbit replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz is proving what some weren't certain about in big games, the X factor...will he win or choke? The thing is Gailey is a loser from GT, from KC and now in Buffalo, Fitz has been on losing teams since he was drafted. Two losers will not make a winner. Fitz needed a head coach to teach him how to win when the game is one the line. After watching the Bills try and run the 2 min drill against the Titans when all they needed was to go 60 yards for a FG in 1:03 and couldn't even get a first down. So I'm was amazed they did so well against the Patriots. They needed a TD and drove 80 yards in 2 min only to come up with an INT in the end zone. -

holy cow the Bills seem intent on giving themselves a safety -
Bill Cowher "retired" after being the Steelers HC for 15 years to be with his family, quite different from being asked to "resign" like Wannstooge was at Pitt for doing so much losing. Lou Saban also comes to mind, but he resigned from his HCing gig at Toledo to be an assistant with Bill Belichicks Cleveland Browns. Again not the same type of resigning. Michigan St HC to LSU HC, to Miami Dolphins HC, to Alabama HC Don't forget Chan Gailey was fired by KC head coach Todd Haley 2 weeks before the 09 season started, and spent 09 out of football. I think Nix was on his "last resort" list of people when he hired Gailey
